On my recent trip to Ukraine I had an impulse buy moment and bought 3 of these on the spot. It helped that the sales girl was fine as all get out.  On one level I was thinking "WHY??" But on another level I was like "this is some fly as* gangster pimp ish right here"…now I'm itching to sport them somewhere cold this winter, with long overcoat and gloves…so mainly as that one statement piece.

In my humble opinion unless you live in a really cold place like Canada, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Russia you will look like a douchebag wearing one of those.
I can't imagine walking the streets in Milan with this type of hat.

Mine yields devastating results when used correctly. Only deploy when its cold enough for snow to fall. Will only work when proper attire is used. This isn't peacocking bs, but advanced level technique.

Never heard the term Ushanka, but I have the traditional Russian style hat like this without the ear flaps; got it when I was in Uzbekistan. There was no way I was leaving the FSU without one.

Coincidentally the only time I've ever worn this was last night as part of my Halloween costume. I can't imagine wearing it out on the streets normally haha. I wouldn't say it's stylish or trendy by any means. The only thing going for it imo is that it keeps your head damn warm.

Fur Hat World. Mines rabbit skin and they come in 3 colors. You have to remember that wearing fur is a status symbol, so dress and act appropriately. The minimum I'll go is jean/boots/peacoat or full suited/overcoat with both ensembles aviators/gloves/scarf.

It takes a lot of swag to pull this off, and if you act like its a centerpiece you'll fail, due to it being so exotic. Get used to wearing it and treat like any other headpiece. There's a way to walk into a venue with it and a time to take it off. Girls usually won't leave it alone, so be prepared to make them beg to wear or take attention whoring pics. Example:

Her: Omg! That is so cool, can I wear it?
Me: Can I wear your extensions?

Her: Can I try it on?
Me: It might get caught up in those extensions.

Her: Cool can I see it?
Me: Its a little shy at first, buy it a shot and it might warm up to you.

Be prepared to deal with fanatical girls that will hate on you wearing real fur. If you have strong frame feel free to go the beaver route. "Relax honey, I did the world a favor. No one like a furry beaver."

Sometimes the attention they get can be annoying, so you have to stay strong and don't let them treat it like a play toy. Have a good back story for it, like it being a gift from a Russian Col. The opportunities are almost limitless, except for the temperature range.

Got them all in Kiev about a month ago. Yeah, the first one is the one that hooked me. Picked up the other 2 because the price was right and wanted a couple of different looks.

Those are beasts.

Anything above -10 centigrade and I melt in it (fox and rabbit).

I was looking for a seal pup fur hat in Norway last year. Ali, you have any connections in Labrador?
