I have an online grading system setup. My students can see their rank in the class. Damn right they should.

My physics professor used to post tests and quizzes online. We used to hack his website and steal his tests and quizzes along with the answer sheets.

Not surprising given that Alberta is the province that axed a teacher for giving zeroes to students who didn't do their assigned homework and tests. Although they must be doing something right in my province, as high school students in Alberta rank among the highest in the world in science tests.

One thing teachers around here can't do is post names to number grades. The main reason for that isn't so much self esteem as it is privacy.

Whenever grades are posted it is only attached to an id number.

I mean "Schools". I could have cared less if i was on some list that said i was smart. I was a good student, to be honest, but i despised the administration. Whatever. Let the dumbasses know they are outperformed by those who care about themselves. Go one step further and shame the tards into actually picking up a book. As anybody heard these young punks read??? I swear to you that they read in slow pronounced sentences while reading. Shit was embarrassing. You would think they were special. I am not kidding.

We used to get a numerical ranking with our ID numbers posted next to it.

One of the best things that my school had in stoking competition.

I was sad when at university you couldn't see where you ranked in the class. It was bullshit.
