RE: Men on Strike: Dr. Helen Smith Gets it
Quote:Marriage strike paradox.
Nearly all women are still able to marry. If we could break this data out for just White women the percentage who marry by 45 would be even higher, around 90%! Moreover, the change we are seeing is almost entirely a delay in the age of marriage.
What we are seeing instead is women continuing to push out the age of marriage. As they are doing this, they are changing the signal young men receive regarding how to be sexually successful. Beta Bucks (BB) used to be a very effective strategy for an 18 year old young man. He might have to wait a few years, but he could see the plan working for his 3-5 year older bother and his friend’s older brother. Now a young man would have to look to men 10-15 years older to see examples of the BB model finally paying off. Meanwhile, they see the Alpha F**** (AF) model working all around them. AF gets rewarded, and BB is not only not rewarded for a decade or more, but our whole society (especially Christians) despises husbands and fathers, the epitome of the BB model. This is a very powerful message, and an unmistakable one.

There is very little social commentary on the relevance of women delaying marriage to their late 20s and beyond - in other words to the last third of their fertile window.
The wall of silence is because social commentary is shared by the false system of cuckservatives and feminist social liberal.
Allowing for the mysterious financial forces that run the West, it is a safe statement to assert that Prince Harry is in the Top 5%. Although I believe he has psychological problems because of what happened to his mother, his engagement is indicative of hypergamy gone rampant.
If women of traditional marriageable ages wanted lifetime commitment as a vehicle for high investment parenting, the hook up culture would end tomorrow. In the mean time the Alpha fucks hook up culture will continue until women are "ready" and many men will think it a success that their Beta-$ strategy works - a decade or so after it worked for their forefathers.

Prince Harry on his knees to an older divorcée who gave the best of herself to everyone except her previous husband, with a ring that rivals the GDP of an African nation is sadly indicative that men will settle if they have enough coin to interest a woman with.
There is a difference between being unemployed and on strike because shop steward has stopped work. Most men are on the dole queue, not on the picket line.
The dating and mating market is exactly how women want it to be, and it takes on the image in accordance with the actions of women of prime fertility and their dating habits range from hook ups to serial monogamy with increasing elements of polyandry.
Although men have more leverage over the MMP than the SMP, talk of marriage strikes seem like the cuckservative argument because it denies women agency over the SMP and certainly doesn't recognise that women have a feral sexuality.
Not sure if you live in America or not, but I have lost count of the young men I have met, that are NOT in the Manosphere that refuse the idea of marriage. Maybe they are closeted MGTOWs, but when I ask them about Manosphere stuff, they have no idea what I am talking about.

RE: Men on Strike: Dr. Helen Smith Gets it
I spent four hours on Skype the other day catching up with a girl I knew in college. At one point (when I was still in the process of transitioning out of being an unattractive beta into an all-star), I indicated to her that I was interested in her. She rejected me with the statement that the timing was bad and school had her full attention.
She's 30 now, not exactly unattractive and still all alone. And unless my spidey-sense is all out of wack, I'm fairly sure she'd be open to being pursued by me at this time. I'm not interest. She's too old.
The statistics suggest very strongly that their are no consequences for women. Anecdotally, I'm not sure that paints the full picture.
My observational experience has been that most of the top 20% of men are naturals who never think through the economics of attraction and never learn to leverage their position to their advantage. They are never in the driver's seat really, because they have only natural game to depend on, rather than being able to intentionally target (and work towards succeeding with) more attractive women than they are currently able to bang. At some point they tire of their role and simply marry some woman, who is technically attractive, but a bit of a feminist ball buster.
The only men striking are probably a thin category of men who know the pain of repeated sexual rejection, overcame that and have every reason to believe that their sexual options will only improve into their late 30's or 40's.
I consider myself in this category and I know very few other men who fall into the same category. The key reasons being that I can still have three 7's as girlfriends at the same time if I want and I'm putting all of my available resources into growing a type of business that if successful, will give be an envious lifestyle that will make me 100X more attractive than I currently all.
If I hadn't grown as a man, I'd be jumping at the chance to have a long distance relationship with the 30 year old woman from my school days, because that would probably be the best option I could conceive. Since I have grown, so have my options and aside from being a mother to my children, I don't really see what a woman can bring to my life that I can't give myself. But I fully concede that I doubt many men think this way once they pass their mid-20's.
