I was in Orlando about 10 years ago and I remember seeing Brazilians in all the outlet stores buying loads of clothes. I remember in K Mart they were buying suitcases in the store and filling them with brands such as Levi's, Ralph Lauren etc.

I had never thought they were actually taking it back to sell until I read this. In my mind they were just stocking up on their wardrobe.

I have a supplier in China for fake watches (pretty much any luxury brand you can think of). They are battery operated and my Breitling has lasted for 2 years and it looks fine (I've scraped it on walls accidentally & dropped it plenty of times.).

I've taken 10-15 back to England a few times to sell for around double the price to friends of friends.

Does anyone have any idea where I could sell them in higher numbers? They are pretty decent fakes (there's several grades here).

How come no one mentioned knock off viagra? Its crazy cheap in Asia, everything is the same apart from the name. Its sold as sidegra or something. I remember buying the whole tablet for like 5$ in Cambodia.

where would you be taking it to? A lot of countries have these ed generics available so you'd have to take it somewhere that does not have it over the counter. If you're doing that you're trafficking. Personal amounts aren't an issue usually just confiscated if they even bother but if you start bringing in quantity you're doing something that would land you real time.

To bring into Ecuador I´m also thinking Iphones and other electronic devices, there is a limit of 2 per type though (2 cellphones, 2 ebook readers, etc.). Look up the specific rules. Prices here are similar as Brasil so I could make maybe 200-300$ profit on the newest Iphone. To bring from Ecuador to Europe/US I´d think of essential oils. Theres some oils here in the amazon, which probably could sell well in Europe with girls. Generic viagra is a good one as well but where would the limit be of personal use. If I bring 50 would that be considered personal. They go for about 2$/pill here and probably could sell them for 10$. No idea about legislation though.

That's really just a separate idea and one where shipping costs could seriously cut into the profit. I don't see how that is easier.

This idea is merely a hustle built from the natural arbitrage you can exploit while traveling from one nation to another. Regulations and government interference aside, there are no logistical concerns other than your own travel and finding a buyer on the ground.

With the right amount of information and market dynamics, guys could be pulling in some easy cash while doing their regular travels.

But...

There's a limit to how much stuff you can bring into any country. Plus you need to find buyers in that country that won't rip you off. Plus you need a sizeable up front investment for reselling some of this stuff (Iphones). What if you get there and other people beat you to it?

Shipping is no problem. Buyer pays for shipping. In some countries, international shipping is subsidized.

Last year I tried to do some travel arbitrage on my trip to the Philippines. I got two pretty good laptops for a good price and took them over there. These were significantly better quality compared to what similar models sell for at the Filipino malls and the price I listed them for was far better as well. I listed them on OLX.ph and got many inquiries. Unfortunately all the potential buyers just gave me shit offers. I had it listed for a fair price and they would offer 50% of what it was listed for which was below what I paid. There were also a few that said, okay I will buy it but can only pay 1,000 pesos (~20USD) per week. Needless to say I didn't find any buyers.

If I had to do it differently I would first try to find buyers for a product before I arrive rather than just bring it over and hoping to find one. Secondly, the place you list it matters a lot. OLX seems to be where people go when they want to low ball like crazy. Maybe I should have listed it for 4 times the price, get them to low ball me, and then sell it for 50% of the inflated price. They think they "won" and I walk away with a good profit.

Well that's what I do when I sell stuff on Kijiji (Canada's Craigslist). If people don't haggle, then they won't buy. I suspect, it's the same everywhere in the world.

Korean makeup has potential as well.

For instance,MIISHA makeup is very inexpensive in Korea. A little travel bottle of lotion cost maybe 1 or 2 bucks in korea while in the states one pays 10-12 (plus shipping in many cases) per bottle.

I made about 600 on makeup from my last trip through Korea.

I wouldn't recommend guitars ever unless you have buyers or deposits lined up beforehand. Aside from being hard to sell, they're big and unwieldy and the airlines slam you with an extra or over sized bag fee and it is at risk of being roughed up in transit. I bought a Taylor in Germany and it wasn't that much more expensive than the states so I don't think the markup is that high there. They seemed reasonably priced in Berlin. Keep in mind big ticket niche items are going to be a lot harder to unload.

A Colombian/American working girl in Panama City told me that there is a company out of Miami that ships products bought off of Amazon to customers in Central and South America. Apparently they are more reliable and the products end up making to the end users rather then disappearing enroute.

Would be interesting to look into it further.

I did iPhone 7 three weeks ago to Turkey from New York. I bought 8 iPhone7 and $810 each. I sold it in Turkey for around $1500 and two from $1800.

It's a joke country, so nobody ever search anything at custom anyway. There are no rules. I think I can buy 50 next time.

Make sure you guys aren't promoting anything explicitly illegal on the forum. It's one thing if it's a gray area like how many of x are "technically" acceptable to bring in and they just tell you not to do it anymore. It's another if you are promoting breaking laws and smuggling products across borders without proper paperwork and customs procedures into foreign countries. I don't want to see anyone rot in some shit hole prison cell without due process because they brought in two more iPhone's than is legally allowed.

I'm not sure of the legality of bringing Trump hats and apparel abroad, but it could be a goldmine depending on which country you're travelling to. I've been sending them to RVF members across the globe, but I'm not making any money on it. It's actually cost me some money and quite a bit of time. I'm doing it to give back to the forum, but if legal, authentic MAGA gear would be a great product to sell to friends and acquaintances abroad.

If you try to sneak in stuff without paying import fees you just get a fine + import fees as far as I know in Germany.

Yes, Turkish Airlines. From JFK to Istanbul.

If you get caught, you pay iPhone electronic/cell phone tax to Turkey but getting caught is almost impossible because there are usually 4-5 cops at the customs gate and since it's one of the busiest airport, there are hundreds of people walking out of the customs every second.

Belize is the same way. I've brought 12 phones in at once and paid 20 bucks for the other "presents" I brought into the country. The customs agent maybe found 3 of the phones. This was in 2014.

Phone prices have came down. Especially since the Chinese have came into the market. The last trip I made last year, I was brining in 20 dollar phones and selling them for 40. Interestingly enough, the phones with large digits sold well. Everybody wanted one for their parents and grand parents.

There is still a market for the iPhone's and S7's. The profit 3 years ago was 400 a phone. Now maybe 200 max if you are lucky. I'm headed down in February for my first run since Aug 2015. I miss the hustle.
