I'm noticing the cyclical patterns of how my lays work out, it seems that I get the vast majority of my lays in the spring and summer, while fall and winter usually turn out to be a bust.

It probably varies from region to region and from player to player, but once fall starts to kick in here, the hook-up/bar/dating scene takes a turn for the worst. Maybe if you live in a place like Miami or San Diego where the weather is nice year round, it may not have such an impact, but once the days get shorter, the weather gets colder, it starts to rain or snow, the pussy starts to dry up, (or at least it does for me ).

I can imagine it's even worse for players in far norther states like Minnesota, Massachusetts, or wherever. Anyone else noticing this trend? I think it really makes logical sense, and is something I've noticed in the past, just never gave to much active thought to.

It's probably all just science and the nature of animals, and as human we take on a lot of the same behaviors of all the other animals in the animal kingdom.

Everyone knows about spring fever, that's an age old saying, when the weather starts to warm up, the days get longer, women start to emerge from hibernation, and their natural mating instincts go into over-drive. This may be as true or even more true for men, as the weather gets better women start to wear skimpy and skimpier clothing, and after months of seeing them all bundled up, we get to finally see some skin and curves.

Now I am finding the contrary is true of the fall and winter, since the days are getting shorter, it's getting colder, women are covering up more and more, and are spend much more time indoors. With the seasonal change and the shift to spending time indoors, women began what I call the "nesting period".

During this "nesting period" women engage in "pair bonding" and basically start to find a guy to shack up with for the enduring winter months. This can be cool if you actually meet a hot chick with a cool personality that you are into spending large amounts of time with, (my criteria is a minimum of a 7/10 with a shred of intelligence, a good personality, and low drama/maintenance).

While I wasn't actively searching for a girlfriend, I was going out twice a week running game downtown for the end of the summer and now into early fall, which happens to coincide with the start of the semester at the local university.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make much happen, I got a ton of phone numbers, some make outs, a couple notches w/chicks I wasn't crazy about, and a couple repeats from old fuck buddies.

What especially sucks, which I just think makes my situation that much worse, is that pretty much all my friends up here in my social circle have serious girlfriends that they are more or less "in love with", and subsequently spend all their time with.

Not only do I not have any wingmen to hit the bars with, but I don't really have any bro's to kick it with since they all pretty much spend all their time shacked up with their girlfriends, and if and when we do hangout their GFs are always there making me feel like the third wheel.

So I'll admit I'm a little lonely, but more or less frustrated, and feeling kind of defeated in a way I guess you can say. All in all, I'm kind of looking at the glass is half full anyways, because I don't necessarily want a girlfriend, and by not having one and not going out as much, I'm saving money, sleeping better, getting better work outs/mma training sessions, and overall improving my health.

In theory I tell myself that I should still go out because any chicks that aren't already shacked up or starting to shack up with dudes are going to be out looking for cock, but that hasn't really been my experience the past couple weeks.

It seems that during the seasonal transitional period most of the highest caliber women are either entering into relationships, or have such a long queue of guys that they can choose from, that it makes meeting new women more of a challenge during this time.

Again, I'm living in a more remote area, with a smaller population, so a guy living in SF, NYC, or a bigger city may not experience this problem as much.

Right now, the bars I frequent are thinning out as in there are less people going out, and are turning into sausage fests, because way more single guys are going out looking for girls so the ratios are becoming horrible. I remember reading "The Rookie" or VK or one of those DC game bloggers saying the same thing about the scene in D.C. during the winter, so I know it's not a problem totally unique to where I live.

I guess I need to keep my chin up and persevere, but I just hate going out solo dolo and while I've done it more than ever this past year, it just sucks so much worse this time of year, I'm toying with the idea of not going out at all this weekend, which is out of the norm for me, and counter productive when it comes to trying to get laid.

Thankfully, I have plans to travel to the D.R. this winter, and it's becoming more clear that traveling in the winter to warmer locales with sexier women, is the answer to this problem, as long as I can afford it. In the future, I will just need to hustle harder at the end of the summer to try to lock down a caliber female, and if not then always have a jaunt down to Latin America in my back pocket.

Yup, fearing the arrival of winter here in T Dot.

Ive been trying to get into day game and it just doesn't seem feasible once everyone is olympic speed walking on the streets etc...

Think I will lockdown the few girls i have on rotation as cold months can be unpredictable.

OG, you live in California. I don't see what the big deal is. We don't have extreme cold here. People are active pretty much all year. Our weather goes from warm or hot in summer to mildly chilly in winter. Unless you live in a place with ice and blizzards, I don't see why season should have any effect on your results. And even then, you can probably switch to online game to make up for those not going out much.

Clubs and bars thin out big-time in the fall/winter in most of the U.S.

Big deal. Find the places that are still packed. Make more approaches to compensate for bad gender ratios.

Do more day game. Hit up all the numbers on your contact list. Some of them will be single and lonely.

Sure, a lot of girls will pair up, but then again - a lot of girls will breakup with their boyfriends too.

Tons of breakups around the holidays = girls looking for some rebound dick.

Yeah, this is essentially how it works in Michigan where it gets cold as balls. Here we call it cuffing season, where you essentially just have a mini-relationship with one chick(hence "handcuffing") or just fall back on your stable that you built up when it was warmer. It doesn't help that nightlife isn't the greatest here and people are alot more relationship oriented, so this period of time can definitely suck if you didn't put in enough work when it was warm. The bright side is that you can focus on other things and really hit the ground running come spring, but it most definitely gets a bit harder as the temp drops.

Spoken like a guy who has never been north of San Francisco? Speakeasy you live in Cali, but you probably don't leave your little bubble in SoCal...

Believe it or not it takes about 14 hours to drive north to south in the golden state, also believe it or not the climate and environment changes drastically over that 14 hours.

I'm just about at the farthest northern point in CA, just as you are in about the farthest southern point in CA. NorCal compared to SoCal is just about apples and oranges in almost every way. You live in a dry desert with palm trees, I live in a temperate rain forest with redwood trees.

I don't mean to be a condescending dick, but I would think a resident of California would understand these things.

Anyways I digress, you do make a good point, I don't live in the arctic tundras of northern Canada or Alaska, that still doesn't mean that it doesn't get dark at 3 pm during the dead of winter, that it doesn't pour rain day after day, sometimes it's so foggy and grey you don't see the sun for weeks.

A lot of girls do go online during this period of time, but unfortunately I have absolutely ZERO success with online dating, and I'm not really sure why, I'm a decent looking guy. Any how, I may give it one more crack, but it will most likely be futile.

I'm also working on "slow burn" game, which is a topic I may write up a thread on. Currently got a MILF from the gym sweating it, and may have to hit that soon. Also got a young 20 something cashier at the natural foods grocery store, that I've been working on and hope to number close this weekend.

Also, while I'm not a huge fan of it, Halloween should provide plenty of opportunities to notch up a new skank.

Anyways if you happen to live in a spot like Miami, LA, or Austin where the winter doesn't absolutely suck be thankful that you not only have good weather, but better opportunities to run game during those months.

not really sure if this makes sense. I've been out in Eastern Europe and encountered clubs full of girls when it was -25°C. Maybe in the US, but even then, there's always online game or some chick who is out with her slutty friends.

youd think they would be looking for some warmth and excitement when everything is cold and grey. are u sure its not just due to lower hornyness levels of yours during that period of time?

At the risk of repeating myself, bright light therapy is a ridiculously underused tool. I posted about it here.

I didn't get any new bangs this summer, and I did great early this year during the winter.

Maybe the girls that go out during the winter are likely to be more horny? Even though there are less of them and the ratio in clubs can be worse. In the summer girls are more likely to go out just to be out I think.

On thoughts regarding it being gf season, it seems to be accurate for the most part.

But this is for the average person. There are always exceptions.

Regardless, I think winter time for me will be a time for growth in other areas. Although I'm going to spend a lot less time gaming and inevitably I will have less day and night approaches to work from, I'm also going to have more time to read, workout, and catchup on fun hobbies.

Girls get lonely and look for relationships when winters come around. My 'natural' cousin mentioned the other day how it's really difficult to feel lonely as a man. We can always find something to occupy ourselves with. I can think of so many things I can do in my own time that interest me and have potential for growth.

Girls don't make the best of their options like we do. They turn to social media that are extremely time draining. Even playing video games as a man is more productive than posting and wasting time on facebook as a girl.

Yeah, honestly, the furthest north of California(and the furthest south of Oregon) is a terrible place for women. I can imagine that the weed and the scenery must be outstanding there, but never once in my life have I ever heard anyone praise women from the far north. I thought the Bay Area was bad when I was growing up there, until I took a trip up to Mount Shasta, Yreka, and Ashland/Medford...yikes.
