Anyone interested in lending each other books on Kindle?

Amazon allows you to "lend" each book you own to other Kindle readers one time for a period of 14 days. Essentially, you could at least double your reading list with this knowledge by teaming up with other Kindle users that read as much as you and loaning each other books.

Easier to do with friends and family obviously, but not many of mine read Kindle, I rarely see them as I live abroad, and we generally don't share the same interests.

Maybe we could post our reading lists and hit each other up on a trade. And post new books when we buy them too see if anyone is interested. Obviously, first person to call it gets dibs since you can only lend it out once.

Too much of a hassle? What do you think?

I have all of those except "Choose Yourself." I love Altucher's writing but I wasn't sure if this would just be a repeat of his blog. Was it any good?

BB actually i bought two of those books after your recommendation on one of your posts.

Choosen yourself is a waste of time, I don't really recommend it. I think his ''interview'' on millionaire fast lane forum is more interesting than his book. Good thing was that his book was very affordable but its certainly over hyped, I didn't get much value from it. The only thing that was worth reading was to write down 10 ideas per day.

What would be really good is if Amazon created some kind of "friend list" that you could put people on, and share books with each other. However, that would probably cut into book profits.

Right on - I kind of assumed as much based on the reviews. Well, let me know if you buy any other good books soon. If it's something I have my eye on, I'll toss you something from my list. It''ll be like you're buying two for the price of one.

"The Power of Habit" is a really solid one. "I Will Teach You to Be Rich" is also a great book on personal finance for young people, though some of it will definitely be out of sync with "Your Money Or Your Life" and "Early Retirement Extreme."

I just got a kindle last week though and the only book I have so far is A Dead Bat in Paraguay.

The next few books I want to read are 48 Laws of Power, 4 Hour Workweek, and The Rational Male.

I would be interested in this, although I don't have a huge library on there.

One book that I read recently is : The Ravens: The True Story Of A Secret War In Laos , by Christopher Robbins. The book records the heroics of the pilots fighting against the Vietnamese and Laos communist, during the Vietnam war. There was a pilot mortality rate of 40% and these pilots were not officially in the air force, as the whole war was an undercover CIA operation.

This book was particularly interesting for me as I'm currently travelling around Laos, but I would recommend it to anybody interested in the Vietnam war, The Air Force/CIA or just reading about some very brave and unconventional pilots.

I tried lending a book to someone today and it wouldn't work.

I've googled the instructions on how to do it, but the options that are described are not available to me.

Do you need to be a prime or unlimited member?
