This guy is saying some shit to a pregnant girl sitting next to him so she moves. He keeps it up and some old guy tells him to stop and gets his ass kicked lol. Seen it on the news but couldnt make out exactly what the guy was telling prego. I will say its fucked up to start talking shit to a pregnant chick just because she blew you off. Im guessing thats what happened.

LOL, I watched the video. The pregnant chick doesn't check on the guy who tried to defend her. I bet she won't even testify if they do find the guy. She seems only concerned about herself.

Just another reason I strongly support the merciless brutalization of white knights. It will discourage this kind of intervention, which will then trickle down into the behavior of women.

There are really 2 things that stick out to me:

someone is hitting on a very pregnant woman. wtf. I don't hit on fat women or big girls like pregnant women. They are just gross.

The one good thing is that the white knight flat out says he will think twice before white knighting again. Progress.

Everyone seems to be missing what really happened here. If you watch the beginning of the video, the older guy was starting to argue with the black guy and the black guy "shushed him." The older guy went "shhhhhh" back in a mocking manner, when he could have just shut his mouth and waited to see if things blew over.

That's why he got punched - not because he stood up for a pregnant woman. The guy who was hitting on her got embarrassed by her reaction and then the older guy poured salt in his wounds by jumping on her side and then aggressively mocking the guy when he threw a shhh at him. You can't do something like that to another man and then be surprised if you get punched a couple times, especially if he's already in an emotional state. The only reason old dude thought he could get away with something like that is because he's a hairdresser. lol

If he'd really defended some helpless pregnant women and got beat up for it, I'd rally behind him, but that doesn't appear to be what happened.

On another note, if the woman was so intimidated, why didn't she move to the back of the bus instead of moving across from the guy to sit there and argue with him?

And again guys coming out with the white knight crap. So now every time some guy helps a girl, even if it's justified he's a white knight. What about right and wrong? It really doesn't make a difference if she's pregnant or not, the point is a guy is obviously harassing a girl right in front of you, but you shouldn't do anything because you'd be a white knight, right, just look the other way, don't get involved, nothing to do with me so why should I care.

How can you defend the young guy is beyond me, so a guy shhooshes you and you're supposed to just take it? Yeah, the old man shooshed him back and he was right, he was disrespected by the other guy and was right in saying something back. It shows to me he's braver than most guys here, because he's obviously older, smaller and weaker than the other guy and he still stood up for the girl.
And I can't believe you're actually saying that she wasn't intimidated because she didn't move to the back of the bus when you can tell she obviously was. First, the bus was full, so probably there were no more seats available, second, by standing up, and moving away from the guy she very clearly showed she was being disturbed by him, from that moment on he should've just shut his mouth and stopped, but he kept harassing her and that's when the old guy intervened. I say, good for him.

First off, if you've ever read my posts, I'm the last person on here to run around shouting about white knights. In fact, I often find myself arguing for so-called white knights. I'm a big proponent of sticking up for right and wrong. But I also don't see things in black and white, so I don't make the same judgement call on every single incident. Because every situation is different.

Second, I am not defending this young guy in the slightest. I was simply pointing out that the media was painting this story to be something it wasn't.

The younger guy did not have to hit him and should not have but it doesn't surprise me that he did based on what I know about life in the real world and how confrontations play out on the streets. If you watch the video, the homeless guy even admits he never thought the guy would hit him in front of a camera. That's the only reason he acted like he did, and that was a mistake. It's one thing to intervene when someone is in danger or being aggressively harassed. It's another to sit there and argue with someone - a man who just got publicly shamed, no less - and get in an unnecessary shushing contest and then act surprised when you get in a fight.

If someone tells you to shhhh, yes they are being a dick, but you don't shhhh louder back at them like a girl either. You say, hey Man, don't shush me, I'm trying to talk here. Or you just decide fuck it and let the argument die. Or you can go to blows if you want. Hairdressers, on the other hand, throw a mocking shhhh back at someone the way this guy did. And in real life beyond the beauty shop this gets them socked in the dome. It was the old guy's gut reaction but it cost him.

Most importantly, the media turned this into something it wasn't - that's all I was saying. They made it sound like this guy tried to save some pregnant woman and was attacked for that and that only. You can only see part of this interaction, but from what I see, he was attacked for arguing with some idiot on a bus.

Neither did I say the woman wasn't intimidated. She could have handled it differently though, and my question was meant to highlight this. She was not in danger - she was arguing with an idiot on a bus and went against common sense to sit there escalating the situation when she could have removed herself if there was truly a threat. I did not see a threat - I saw an argument with a guy that was antagonizing her, and it's hard to say what attitude exchanges brought it to the point that it did because the footage only shows part of it. I could be wrong but she did not seem in need of defending to me.

First off, the black guy hitting on the white preggo chick was pathetic.

Second, the white knight old white man who was defending a girl who appeared to have already rejected the black guy was also pathetic.

Third, beating up some guy just because he white knighted is super unwarranted. That's ridiculous barbaric behavior.

All in all, just a pathetic story. Definitely a Florida case.
