RE: Fisto Recons Lima Peru
Fisto, nice write up. You seem to confirm what most other guys have written here about Lima. It's mediocre at best IMO. There are way better places to visit in South America. I'd say after Guayaquil, Lima was my least favorite place in South America. It's not terrible, but it's not great and the women are sub par. I'd rather game in America any day.

I totally agree about the food not being cheap, it is pretty good though. It can be cheap but if it is it won't be good. You pay for what you get. That Brazilian place, media naranja is fire in parque Kennedy. The ceviche on avenida mar is also great.

Did you ever get to check out the old part of town like plaza armas? That place was awesome.

As far as Lima being clean, it's really only Mira Flores, most other parts of Lima are a shit hole. All over town you'll suddenly get grotesque whiffs of air, and it's usually people burning their trash.

I would like to return to Peru to check out Cusco, the amazon, and possibly mancura, but I wouldn't go back to Lima unless it was a hub on my journey or to visit my homie out there if I ended up in the area.

Actually, the song of the magical Cuy is a remix of another song, this one, I think :

I'm leaving soon for work up in the Dakotas. I'd much rather be in Vegas for the winter.

Potentially you are gonna freeze your ass off. Smile

I grew up in the dakotas as a kid, and we had some winters that were -20F, and with windchills of -100F. The worst of the cold weather was usually late December through early February - though sometimes the cold weather can start earlier and last until later - and you may get lucky to have some warm spells in the middle.

If you think about it, the cuy represents peruvian girls well....

Cuy is:
Short
Brown
Fat

Peruvian girls are:...you get the deal.

P.S - Most peruvian girls I've met are chubbier than girls from nearby countries.

Thought you were heading to Barcelona, did you flake out on that plan, or was that going to be next spring? Do you have a good high paying job out there lined up or plan to wing it and try to land something when you get there?
