Those videos represent a very small sample, probably 2 or 3 bars at larco mar and maybe one in Asia. The upper class are not nearly as impressed with Gringos. In Argentina, even the middle and lower class are not impressed with Gringos, they know most Americans are fat and ignorant for the most part. It's also a different mentality (Argentina thinks of themselves as better than US & Europe, even if their economy is worse), the more indigenous countries are always amazed by America and Europe, could have a stronger economy and it wouldn't matter.

Besides the cholos, most Peruvians look like the more Hispanic Filipinos.

Your right, you need a little more game with the glamor girls, but a North American will still pique their interest more than a local, just having the balls and confidence to approach a 10 and talk to her in broken spanish will get you her respect and than it's likely she'l ask you where your from and continue off the convo in english which than adds a new element of excitment for her right away.

I agree though Argentinians are pretty arrogant and proud as if they solely try to be the opposite of slutty American women, but really they're just the definition of elegance, even the ones living here are hard to fuck quick, every time I've tried I get the earfull along the lines of "arhen teen yen weemin are nut eesee".

Peruvian culture is also more significantly socially conservative than Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina This probably makes it more difficult with the hot ones as well.

Argentinian women are probably going to have higher standards, but they're also more liberated. So it kind of balances itself out. Peruvian guys are also not really into style at all (the country still views that as gay) and they are taught to be very humble from a young age, so they're not as competitive as most Argentine guys.

It's nice to see this thread just as I got news that I'll be spending next semester in Lima at Universidad Del Pacifico. It is located in JEsus Maria which is pretty close to Jesus Maria. I hear this school is where all the rich bitches go. The school is small, maybe only 2,000 student. I always tell my friends not to shit where they eat and then laugh when they find themselves in a shit storm because they couldn't keep their dick in their pants. IKE: I saw you asked a variation of my question earlier; however, no one responded to it. Therefore, I thought that I should reiterate the question b/c I am pretty sure that there are more RVF guys besides you and me who are curious about the old guy/young girl dynamic in Lima.


I'm also curious b/c my Spanish is pretty decent, so that could be helpful.

From some of the Peru threads, it seems like there may be a little less crime in Lima as compared with some other Latin American countries... .. and I know that sometimes the crime is a little overplayed... but most of us would want to end up being targeted... more so as we get older.

There may be a few RVF members who are up for the challenge and adventure of a little violence and crime, though. Makes for a good story, if you are still alive with all your parts afterwards.

Part of my point was that anything can be a good story so long as a person is still able to tell it and is not 6 feet under - even if the situation comes out a little badly, it could still be a good story to tell.

As a bonus, i also would prefer, if possible, to keep all of my parts, and some parts are more important to me than other parts.

When I was in my teens and twenties, I would take all kinds of risks and engage in a whole lot of risky activities. Those risky behaviors have decreased little by little over the decades, and it is even a larger contrast if looking over a big spread of time b/c from year to year, I did not really change too much, but over a large spread of time, my willingness to just jump into the fray has become much more circumspect. I feel that i have more to lose, and probably, I am less confident about my ability to put up a real good fight.... even though I may be smarter in several ways and have better fighting skills, I do not feel as resilient to taking any kind of blow.

He mentioned Asia beach in this thread or the other one. Not sure if this is the right time of year, but it sounded like the place to be. I guess it still involves pussy, but at least you got a beach too.

I love going to lakes and rivers though, something I haven't done much of in Thailand. All of the lakes and rivers I've seen are dirty as fuck. If Lima has some nice bodies of water other than the ocean around, that is always a good time. Nothin better than some day time drinkin at the lake.

It's not really summer in SA yet until Nov-Dec, so I am guessing this is too early in the year to be hitting Asia. It was also somewhere mentioned that it is dead the rest of the year, can't risk that...

This is the Peruvian mecca of hot springs and the entire region in and around churin is packed with them, there everywhere.
It's full of personal hot spring fed baths (particularly in the huancahuasi area) and common area mineral rich hot springs all though out the city and around the area.
This is where you want to go to reenergize your batteries, relax deeply and get a massage for dirt cheap (10 bucks an hour), although I haven't been there my good buddy is taking me soon and he swears by it as the most health promoting tourist destination in Peru.

The food here is pretty good it's known as andino which comprises of guinea pigs, chicken, pig, trout, potatoes and rice, not the highlight of Peruvian cuisine but it's still better than colombias highlights.

Hey Paleodude, or anyone else who is familiar with Lima, I am moving there in January for 6 or 7 months. I just got accepted into Universidad del Pacifico which my school has an exchange program with. Pacifico is in Jesus Maria which is about 20 minutes from Miraflores. I heard you say you live in Miraflores. How important is it to live there? Is living in Magdelena del Mar OK? Basically, I'm wondering what I will be missing out on if I don't live in Miraflores.

There are a bunch of shared apartments that I'm looking at. They are all aroudn $300 for a small private, furnished room with a bathroom. The houses have between 20-30 rooms and have shared kitchen and living room area. The places I'm looking are houses primarily with international students so they should be almost hostel like in terms of parties, which could be cool or not.

My priorities are to be close to the beach, reasonably close to school, close to nightlife, and close to a gym/place to box and do ju jitsu. Does nightlife suck outside of Miraflores?
