Did a few searches and couldn't find a thread about this, so here we go.

New to the game (halfway through first round of Roosh program) and I'm putting in work but the issue of logistics has me frustrated lately.

I live in a suburb of Northern Virginia, about 10 miles outside DC. Town is a total bedroom community, no town center, culture, nothing. It's fortunate to be on the blue line (metro going into city) but it's fairly common knowledge how unreliable that system is. Needless to say, it's a pain in the ass getting in and out DC (I estimate it will take me 30-40 min to meet up with friends tonight in the city, and then of course there's finding a parking spot). Arlington and Alexandria are closer but it's still far enough from the action to be a problem.

I am considering moving to Clarendon or another location where stuff actually happens- daygaming in thouse areas vs. living in the 'burbs where attractive women just walking around are so much rarer has made me appreciate what a difference being in the right neighborhood can make. I think my game can improve a lot quicker in a better neighborhood and I'm sick of always driving everywhere. However, I have an amazing deal on my current place (under $550ish a month) which allows me to tuck away a nice chunk of change each month. I plan to take a 3+ month trip through SA next year and my current situation makes it easier to save toward that.

So the question is; Is it better to a) move to where the action is and better facilitate game, or b) suck it up, "pay my dues" so to speak and figure out how to make this work where I'm at? (currently leaning toward B but I'm keeping an open mind) Anyone here been in a similar situation? Any input is appreciated.

If you know that you're gone within the foreseeable future in South America, just suck it up with that great rent deal. Don't spend the extra money to commit to a place like DC.

I was in a similar situation from 2008-2013 where I had a great deal on rent 10-15 minute highway drive from all the action in my city. But the money I put away allowed me to maximize my vacation times resulting in 15 different countries visited while I used a mixture of game and social circle advantages to capitalize back at home.

Perhaps you can find a way to build your social circles by getting involved with professional networking groups, etc around DC close to happening areas while using your isolated suburb time to practice Spanish? Thought about night community college classes in Spanish too? Could be a good way to meet chicks through that & prepare for Latin America.

The best educational experience you can get is a mixture of academic, professional, and travel. The influences you gain from all three (esp travel) is something that will shape your perspective on life ten fold.

Spent the whole of 2012 holed up in a cheap rental house while I saved every penny I could. Barely went out at all, and talked to no girls.

Now I'm living in Bangkok and I'm glad I had my frugal year.

Thanks for the advice guys, especially yb13- great ideas. I'll be staying put and saving away this year.

WIA- I have noticed that DC tends to be kind of cliquish/social circle oriented, I will keep this mind. Seems like a combo of day game/online/social circle might be the way to go for the time being.

What city are you in? Thats an important detail. You can try developing a social circle in Arlington. The logistics to DC will suck, so focus on Northern VA

I'm in the Springfield/Alexandria region. I was thinking of focusing on NOVA as well, got friends in the city but the drive is just too much. Can't be doing that everyday.

Game is useless without logistics. Logistics alone will (eventually) get you laid even in the absence of game.

Get the logistics, get the game.

That said, theres just a few months left in the year. Use that time to get your game tight and get it to work in spite of non optimal logistics, and save the extra money for your SA trip, so you can use it towards better logistics there.

The señoritas will thank you for it.
