RE: I'm single at 50. Why? Men hate me being brainier than them, says KATE MULVEY
Apparently she wrote some books. Here is a description of one of her books one about how to be a cougar (apparently):

Quote:Are you seriously thinking of getting a tattoo? Are you suddenly jealous of what your daughter is wearing? Do you flirt inappropriately with the barman/photocopying boy/lift attendant? If you answered yes to any of the above, then you are more than likely to be in the grip of a Female Midlife Crisis. What does a female midlife crisis look like anyway? This is the moment you realise that you are past your prime the moment you cant identify with the cast of Sex and the City anymore and the horrifying realisation that men either ignore you or mistake you for a coat stand.

Forget the pot-bellied man with a set of moobs and blonde jailbait hanging off his arm, women are doing it for themselves. Whether its clothes, sex or a face full of Restylane, we are responding to the onset of age with increasingly daring tactics. Why not? Smart, attractive post-40 women who are nowhere near their amuse-by-date are not ready to slip gracefully into the midlife hinterland as their mothers did, playing the odd hand of Bridge and wearing beige for ever more. The female midlife crisis used to be a hidden beast. Now, it has come roaring out of the closet.

Packed full of advice on how to identify the flashing neon signs of a post-40 panic - OMG I fancy my sons sons friends - with top tips on how to look sexy without going the mutton route. Advice on how to reclaim your inner passionista, how to find out what really makes you tick and how to live life on your terms, Flirting with the Barman, is the essential guide for any woman who wakes up one morning and thinks sod this, I am going to beat this midlife label.

Flirting with the Barman would be the first book to guide women through the stages looking at why, how, and when and what women can do about it. As it is written in a humorous style it will be easy to read and enjoyable, whilst at the same time offering relevant insights and psychologically correct solutions and techniques. It would also add to its appeal as a gift. The chatty, warm style allowing the book to avoid insulting the recipient. As a 45-year old woman who has gone through her own midlife crisis, Kate is writing from a point of knowledge. As a writer of many how-to emotional intelligence articles and as a student of psychology, she is fully qualified to impart knowledge and solutions.

She's supposed to be smart, yet she can't figure one simple thing: the amount of bitchiness men will tolerate in a girl is directly proportional to how good she looks.

Men just hate an expired woman with attitude. At that age you can't compete with the 20 somethings. And being "witty" is going to push guys away who don't want to deal with your bullshit.

2/10 would not be witty around

I find myself feeling bad for these hags more than anything else. Not only are they more miserable than they let on, I think they're more miserable than we can easily imagine. An solitary childless aging woman is a grim creature.

It's true that they brought it upon themselves, so I don't feel excessively bad. But to a large extent these solo hags are feminism roadkill. They bought into some bad lies and they're paying the price.

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...

I can't stand these broads who fancy themselves as being funny. They're not. Their idea of "wit" is taking emasculating shots at guys. Then when they get disgust from guys, that rationalize that they are just too fucking clever! Yeah, right.

The only girls I find funny are the young cute ones who are playing off my jokes.

Geez, this woman looks at least 60 to me. One guy here said she's average for 50 and British? Remind me never to move there! I'm only about 5 years younger than her and the idea of banging that out has me uncontrollably laughing. Not in a million years. Even if she were the nicest, most interesting, compassionate woman I'd ever met and loved doing housework, cooking, massaging and blowing - I still wouldn't. Not drunk, not high, not even in a coma.

I think most men would feel the same way. Yet this broad is so delusional, she thinks she isn't getting interest from men because she is too good and men are intimidated by her great qualities!

Yeah, that's the ticket.

I like that she seems to think that "post 40" is around the time men think women have expired and she's going to prove society wrong.

There's a small tradeoff worth noting. English women may not be renown for having the fairest features and probably don't compare favorably in that department to white American girls.

On the other hand, their obesity rate is about 12 points lower (23% vs. 35%), so you don't get as many whales either and will find more girls who, at a bare minimum, have nice trim bodies.

American girls give you fairer features and more stunners overall, but you have to balance that with a much greater chance of running into a landwhale and a generally smaller proportion of girls possessing trim/fit physiques.

Pick your poison, I guess. If you're just looking at the Anglosphere for alternatives, then Canada seems like a nice middle ground between these two (fairer features similar to those seen in the USA combined with same 23% obesity rate seen in the UK).

Know your enemy and know yourself, find naught in fear for 100 battles. Know yourself but not your enemy, find level of loss and victory. Know thy enemy but not yourself, wallow in defeat every time.

Ya know what though? Ugly as she is, she isn't fat, so she could have gotten a lower beta guy if she wasn't such a bitch.

There's enough desperate dudes out there, she could probably find someone who is glad to finally not be with a fattie mc fat fat fat fat.

But you can't be that ugly and that unfeminine. Men like women that are sweet, humble, feminine, and kind. An attittude like that will shine thorugh and will send any man far far away. No man wants an arrogant bitch who goes around thinking she is better than other people.

I just realized, the feminist whining about how "intelligent women" are considered unattractive is hypocritical too. Aren't intelligent men stereotyped as nerds and whatnot as well?

This woman is stupid-smart.

She has intellect but utterly lacks emotional intelligence. I reckon many of the former dorks/nerds on here can empathize with that... I certainly can!

She puts men off not primarily because she's ugly (although it doesn't help) but because she demonstrates a lack of social savviness. In fact, she shows contempt for it, as if it's below her super smart, lofty stature to learn how to interact with other human beings effectively.

And because she's been told since childhood how smart she is -- earning great grades and ticking off intellectual accomplishments faster than THC gets notches in the Philippines -- she's developed an ego, a self image, that she's superior to most people in terms of intelligence.

So this whole line about guys rejecting her because she's smart is an ego defense. I've banged some beautiful girls who were heads shoulders above me in terms of certain areas of intelligence, even though I consider myself quite a smart guy. But they never went out of their way to make me feel stupid or inferior because they had some provincial knowledge about opera or art or philosophy or whatever their specialties happened to be.

Bottom line? This woman is on the internet bitching about how men find her unattractive because she argues with them and refuses to learn how to flirt...

And she calls herself smart.

At the end of the day men will not leave a loving woman who makes her man feel good about himself - true yin complement to his yang life energy...

This UK wannabee warrior woman is the exact polar opposite and has intentionally doused her internal yin flame with massive overcompensating yang pseudo intellectual masculinity. She is the epitome of the 4th wave neomasculine militant feminist crazy old cat woman...

And she wonders why she repels all men except the young dumb full of cum and drunk ones looking at life through Guinness goggles?

They were eating her alive in the comments too.

Quote:Seems like she treats her men as an accessory! I have always enjoyed speaking to people in their language when we go on holiday, but always make sure my husband is included in the conversation, by translating what has been said and involving him. Just good manners really as no one likes being ignored, whether you know them well or hardly at all.

Quote:And she's modest too...

Quote:I bet she doesn't have many (or any) female friends too. The fact that she's the common demominator in all of her bad relationships means she's the one with the problem. When someone calls you opinionated and difficult it doesn't mean you're clever it means to a pain in the you-know-what. She's confrontational and dismissive I wouldn't want to be around her either.

Quote:sorry love it ain't because you are too clever but too sour... try smiling

Quote:I've never yet heard a guy say, "Wow, that woman over there looks so intelligent." And who on earth wants to come home to a 'challenge' rather than some 'charm'? Sorry, lady. You're not as smart as you think.

Quote:I've no doubt that there are some men that may struggle with women that outshine them. The key issue for the others is that these women have a habit of being so arrogant about it and ultimately controlling that it simply puts men off because it all gets rather tedious. So we just move on to far better and enjoyable prospects. When women like this come down from their own so highly placed pedestal, they might understand the reality of having their feet on the ground. A real woman, one that is strong, able and confident doesn't have to shout about it. They just are and men have no issues whatsoever with the fact that they will outshine them in more areas. So Kate, if you really are that baffled, then come out of your wood and see the trees. It's not hard to see if you can look around without blinkers on.

I'll end with this...

I recently banged a 6, maybe even a 5.5, more times than I should. She was also older than me, in her early 30s. But she won ME over, because she's legitimately one of the nicest people I've ever met. She's probably the GOAT in niceness really, and has a legit body. But, I would not take this girl around to meet my friends or family. Shit I never even took her to the movies, even darkness wouldn't make me feel better about hiding that mug in public. Unfortunately, people started catching on in my 'circle' that this was happening and she was really starting to fall for me, so I cut it loose after about 2 months. My cred unfortunately took a hit in the process, as a dude is only as good as the bitches other bitches know he's banged, and this was not a good reference on my resume.

But I still get along with her and, this is crazy, I actually felt a bit of a sting letting her go. A girl who's nice, caring, will cook delicious stuff for you like it's no big deal, get you thoughtful presents on your birthday without you ever getting her so much as a pack of gum, suck your dick at the drop of a hat, and you can actually have interesting conversations with goes a long, looong way.

The witch in this article might be 'successful,' but so was this semi-ugly girl I recently banged. The main difference is one has cuntiness in spades, the other doesn't. I used to think ugly looks were too much to overcome for a girl, but currently the nice uggo is fielding offers from multiple dudes ready to swipe her up. On the bright side tho, the witch cunt could have 99 problems, but a man will never be one.
