Made me cringe a bit - I could never imagine being that harsh to a woman. I have said harsh things to men (not threatening murder) but not to a woman.

This actor was playing a dude dating the same actress who plays Leslie Knope in Step Brothers. They were married.

It's just a movie. I've almost completely stopped watching movies. I feel like I know have a clearer vision of reality, now that my thoughts aren't subtly trolled by hollywood.

My first instinct was that this looks like a scene from a lifetime movie. But apparently its Sundance fare, and the posted clip isn't the whole scene. From Wikipedia:

Reading through the whole synopsis, it seems like a gender-feminist wet dream of a movie.

I don't watch films anymore either. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
