For cost I'd go for any of the cities people mentioned outside of London, (Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham, Bristol, Newcastle, Sheffield) all fairly cheap and large student populations with good nightlife. London is good but significantly more expensive and bigger than anywhere else, so logistics a bit more difficult.

Heaps of different foriegn accents around and in London which is where I think of when I think south..Not so much up North...

Oxford has a lot of hot tottie. Not sure what is the appropriate dress. Maybe I should chav myself up a bit

There's a datasheet floating around somewhere on this site. Cost of living here is obscene and close to London without the amenities.

However, Oxford has a 3am closing time which to me is the latest i've ever stayed up for a closing time. Only real perk, girls are hard to open and being an American seems to not really matter here. In fact, i've discovered more people want to debate the 2nd amendment with me.

How are the areas around Southampton-Portsmouth in terms of places to sit down for a beer/coffee? I'm more into the whole coffee house or relaxed, clean pub kind of thing instead of clubbing and I didn't quite see this anywhere in the thread. Is there anything like that in the Southern area? I'm moving there for a while beginning of next year and recon never hurts a man.

What is your style? Never heard that London is good for pickup. Maybe if you are ultra rich and frequent the right social circles?

Yes, Welsh and Northern Irish girls are just as slutty. Sometimes more so, if that's even possible.

However, you'll have a hard time finding lots of options outside of Cardiff and Belfast.

Stick to those two cities.

This has been my experience across the other class conscious English speaking countries too: its extremely hard to game lower-class girls in Ireland/Australia/S.Africa if you've got an upper-middle class accent. And middle class and upwards girls will largely be massively snobby with working class guys - though this is a bit less pronounced in Oz.

Not to be said it can't be done, but most people do stick to their own class. It applies across countries too - if you're gaming some chavvy British girl and she finds out you're a well educated barrister in a different country good luck, she won't like that.

Note for non-Anglo cultures: class isn't directly related to money; people like professional soccer plays have shedloads of money, but are nearly all lower class due to their parents' occupations and the schools they went to. Lots of 'artists' or writers can be poverty stricken, but can come from good educational/cultural backgrounds so retain their parents' class. A lot of Americans seem to conflate class to personal finances, wrongly.

I am certainly concur with Bristol and Bath being in the worst 5. Bristol is always a cock-fest in the bars and interestingly, it had a relatively large PUA community/ RSD lairs.

In Bath, you need to be very rich but I have found the gender ratio better than in Bristol.

Currently living in newcastle could probably attest to this, however loads of really tall guys with tattoos that work out so you will have pretty high competition. If you go out at night you will see a lot of guys approaching.

The downside is due to lad culture + the geordie accent despite the girls being generally hot they act and sound extremely masculine. Cause obviously they all want to be like Vicky from Geordie Shore...

I still don't understand this.

Are chavvy girls almost always pump and dumped by men that are of a higher class or why does not the hypergamous theory work here?

Girls want status, so why reject men that are of a higher status?
