I don't see how an NHL team will effect game in Vegas. More of a non-issues.

If the Raiders move to Vegas - then better double down on your Mexican game Laugh

It'll be a shit show every Sunday they're home.

It's my understanding that an NHL team was a lot of the reason, or even the only reason, that the T-Mobile Arena was built. I don't see either a positive or a negative effect of hockey games. This was an interesting thread to bump. I, personally, would have probably bumped Captain Power's Las Vegas thread just for comedy reasons.

Going back to Vegas next Friday. Last time I went to Vegas it was poppin. Spent a lot of money though on parties and pool parties. Anyone have any tips on finnessing the Pool Parties out there?

I know a lot of clubs are free however if you make it by a certain time because of some promoters.

Pre-drink so you don't have to pay the outrageous drink prices. Don't get in the water. Mingle around and get as many numbers as you can, then mass text the numbers later that night when you're going out to see if you can hook up somewhere else.

Thanks for the advice. When I said finesse I meant get into the pool parties for free LOL. They are always expensive.

Is Vegas only good for summer? I realise a good player can pick up anytime, but just wondering if some of the cool shit is only for summer.

I always thought the reason given for no pro sports teams in Vegas was that it was a gambling town, athletes would get in debt to local bookmakers and get pressured into throwing a game. Look at the threads about athletes doing dumb things, it just seems like a recipe for disaster.

This is what I mean about athletes being bad with money:

http://sportschew.com/worst-purchases-ma...hletes/21/

Allen Iverson says he can't afford a cheeseburger after his divorce and spending all of his earnings(200M+) on jewelry. And the nhl wants to put a franchise in Vegas?

RE: McQueen's Las Vegas Data Sheet
Anyone have any experience on staying at the Mirage? Pretty centrally located on the strip, has BARE pool parties, 1oak night club.

I'm thinking of foregoing the big names like Cosmo and Wynn and just focusing hardcore on gaming in Mirage for a majority of my trip. Maybe hit up XS and Marquis one times each during a Thur-Mon trip but focus mainly here?

The data sheet speaks favorably of both BARE pool party and 1Oak so Mirage should be a great choice right? I've never been there.

Staying at the Mirage makes zero sense to me. The location is great and the hotel isn't a dump, but that's about it. For the price, it's just not worth it. The only MGM hotels which are more expensive than the Mirage are the Aria and the Bellagio, both of which are much better than the Mirage. It's not even debatable. I also consider the MGM Grand to be better than the Mirage, both because of the volume and the fact that MGM has both Hakkasan and Wet Republic. For pool parties, EBC is by far the best option. It is also more expensive than other places, but for quality of girls, no other pool party is in its league. Wet Republic and Marquee Dayclub may be a distant second and third and I'm not even sure which is better. Right now, the best deal as far as a hotel is the SLS, but I hear people, both on and off the forum, complaining that it is too far away from everything. It's obviously on the strip, but at the extreme north end.

But what makes SLS good? If I'm at Mirage I have perfect logistics for 1Oak club and BARE pool party and Mirage actually has good prices for memorial day weekend compared to other places. That's why I bring it up.

For the guys who AREN'T staying at a place like Wynn, MGM, or Cosmopolitan how do I figure out where to stay? At what point do I say fuck logistics and just get a cheap place off the strip? Or if I go with a 2nd tier spot on the strip how do I set up my gameplan?

I mean the big clubs and pool parties are cool but there's probably opportunities to pimp at other places. Hell last time I was in Vegas one of my notches was a girl I met in the elevator. Is it possible the big clubs and pool parties are overhyped?

My 2nd notch on my prior trip I pulled a girl from XS to my shitty little hotel (Gold Coast) right off the strip. Logistics were not a factor in that case as my game was tight and the girl was very willing. I simply walked out of the club with her, got a limo, and proceeded straight to my room with her.

So that's what I'm trying to get at is where do I trade the "prestige" of a popular hotel or event for price and how do I set up my gameplan. How do I prioritize things? There's guys with no game who will be jerking off in their expensive suites at the Cosmo and Aria and there's guys with game who will be bringing whores back to the Flamingo.

I'm trying to figure out at what point logistics is a crutch or even a distraction from what I'm trying to accomplish here (fucking multiple sluts), and on the flipside, at what point a bad logistical decision will kill my game. Not to mention I don't wanna waste money.

I just looked at SLS for a four day weekend in late June/early July. It was between $200.00 and $300.00 not including the resort fee, which would be around $130.00 or so. A similar room at the Wynn or Cosmopolitan would be much more expensive. Mirage would also be much more expensive. It is 100% that EBC will have better girls, maybe much better girls, than Bare. If you are focusing on quality and want to go to a pool party, EBC is the only option. If you are in SLS, it is not terribly far from the Wynn and an added bonus is that if you don't make it happen at EBC, you can go to the SLS pool party, Foxtail, and either make a last ditch effort or approach girls who are leaving there.

I mentioned my trip is Memorial Day weekend so those prices are moot. And this doesn't really address my question. Should I truly be prioritizing the popular parties and events? I'll make sure I hit XS at least once and I want to hit one of the pool parties but is there really a reason to only hit the most popular spots instead of 2nd tier venues or even more lowkey lounges and hotel bars?

Also, if I'm going to events in different hotels then how much does it matter where I stay? These are the questions.

RE: McQueen's Las Vegas Data Sheet
^
Having been to Vegas 10 times or so in the past 2 years, Memorial Day Weekend is the absolute worst time to go there. Even though there is almost no city in the world that can handle as many tourists as Vegas, this weekend even puts Vegas on its heels. Even the most basic tasks, like getting food (not at a high end place, just anywhere) or grabbing a taxi, takes forever. I am not exaggerating that the cab line at Palazzo, which is normally ~15 mins at the most, had about 250 people in it at 1030 on a Saturday during MDW and would've taken over 2 hours.

To answer your questions directly:
- Prioritizing day events: EBC is going to be a shitshow on MDW. I would guess $70-125 cover for guys, 2 hour wait to get inside, and then just completely swamped where you can't even move. If you can get tickets cheap now, go for it, but when it is a busy weekend, there will be girls everywhere. For beach clubs, even though Merenguero didn't mention it, I actually like Drais. It's a dope setting on top of a hotel, and has a good amount of hot girls. Ratios aren't bad. The nightclub is shit from what I know but day club isn't a bad choice when EBC and Wet Republic become a complete clusterfuck.

- Prioritizing night events: Definitely hit XS, it's the best club in Vegas if you're rolling solo because you can roam with ease and you don't need a table. Don't go to Omnia... you WILL wait 2 hours to get inside even with presale tickets and you won't be able to move inside - I've been there on MDW. You can also troll the casinos or lounge bars, just depends on what you're going for. The upside with Vegas clubs is you have thousands of girls in close proximity and you won't run out of girls to approach.

- Logistics: Just like anywhere else, it helps to have great logistics, and Vegas on MDW is no exception. If you're on the strip in a reasonable hotel and you find a down girl, you should be OK, but once again, it becomes much harder on MDW where you will not be able to jump into a quick cab. Off-strip hotels I don't have experience with but I'd be shocked if a decent chick is down to fuck at the Palace Station unless she is REALLY down. I'd get a hotel within walking distance of the clubs you're hitting, and one that has a big casino and a few bars that you can hit if you don't pull at the clubs.

Long story short though, I would avoid going to Vegas on MDW and stick with the SD idea. It will cost a lot of money and isn't worth it... the girls are not hotter than normal, and there's a lot more crowds. I still regret going on MDW the one time I went. Any regular summer weekend is better.

Quick edit - When leaving Omnia on MDW, the cab line was also at least 300 people. I offered 40 bucks to the guy running the line and he laughed in my face. Spotting the guy won't fly on a peak weekend.

The data sheet speaks favorably of both BARE pool party and 1Oak so Mirage should be a great choice right? I've never been there.

Mirage has small rooms. It also takes a while to walk through from the strip. I mean its a nice hotel, but it wouldn't be my first or second or third choice.

The plus is its across the street from Venetian if you are going to Tao. I wouldn't waste time at 1Oak unless you are really really into hiphop and urban ladies. BARE pool sounds really horrible too, I've never been but I can imagine most of the people there go there because they get a "free admission" card handed out to them on the strip that day. The normal pool at the Mirage is boring as well.

If you want a hotel with a fun pool that's free and cheap rooms, I'd hit up Treasure Island or Flamingo. Both are trying to capitalize on the whole "pool party" thing without it actually being a pool party, meaning they have a DJ. You get a bunch of broker girls who aren't the typical Vegas frequenters.

Do not stay at the SLS. A shitty room at the Linq will be 100x better than a luxury room at the SLS for your purposes. The only reason you should stay off the main strip is if you are staying and partying at that property (i.e. Hard Rock or Palms, you will be partying in those clubs/pools/etc).

RE: McQueen's Las Vegas Data Sheet
Damn you guys dropping some great data. I'll try to do a Vegas weekend another time in the summer then and not on a holiday. I'll just fly on a Friday night and fly back on a Sunday. Should be able to get way better prices for a hotel that way too.

I think I'm eager cuz this is my first adult "vacation" that I'm trying to plan. I've lived in poverty since I moved out of my parents house 3 years ago and for the first time since getting a decent job I actually have disposable income. Feels weird to be able to book a flight or hotel on a whim. Love it!

But yeah you guys are probably right about Memorial Day being a bad weekend. I think I'm going to try and get a room at the Cosmo or Wynn in July though and do it right.

Thanks for the insights RDF, Merenguero, and Drazen

Well true then, but with the Internet.....a game can be thrown from anywhere.

I like taking the early Monday Morning flight and go to work straight from the airport if you can hang. Sunday nights are pretty good in Vegas in the Summer, as are the Sunday day parties. The flights are probably $50-100 cheaper. I'd look now for rooms, chances are the prices at those hotels are pretty expensive still. I'd go fairly cheap/mid-end if I were you but in a major hotel with a decent pool and location.

Lol I don't know about the Monday morning flight. Despite the fact my job is literally right next to LAX airport I'm not sure if I would be able to hang on a Monday after 3 nights in a row of Vegas partying and barely any sleep. That sounds rough... But I'll consider it.

Given what you said in bold Treasure Island looks like a good choice. Solid mid range hotel, they have a pool with a DJ, and very close to XS and Tao (is Tao still legit).

Another option is Flamingo.

MGM also seems legit. Guests get into Wet Republic and Hakkasan free or discounted? Considering these two parties MGM seems perfect for logistics. Almost a slam dunk if you could pull a girl at one of these events back to the room. Why isn't MGM considered a top choice for players given that it's one of the better hotels and has one of the most popular pool parties and night clubs hosted there?

Staying at MGM will give you absolutely no pull at Wet Republic or Hakkasan. It is great logistics, I'd consider MGM for sure. I like that hotel, there is so much going on there all the hours of the day. Plus if you want to tour around its a "Monorail Stop". Decent logistics for everything at the Cosmopolitan hotel too.

Sometimes the crowd at the cheaper pools like Treasure Island/Flamingo are really bad though. Its hit an miss but there's no hassle and its easy in and out. At the bigger pool parties there are a lot of uppity attitudes from everyone.

I've posted about this before, but as you are headed to the casino from the MGM Grand lobby, there is a stand where you can get on the list for Wet Republic or Hakkasan. It's extremely easy to talk to those people and get on the list or lists. They couldn't care less whether or not you are staying in the hotel. Also, if you do stay at MGM, try to avoid the rooms in the "West Wing." They are really small and seem to be much farther away from everything than all other rooms. Often, when you pay a much discounted price to stay there, the west wing is where they stick you. It is more than worth it just to pay a little extra and get a tower room or something better than a tower room. Don't order room service there under any circumstances. I never order room service anywhere, but after cashing in (also at the MGM) after the Alvarez/Khan fight, I met up with forum member, xxMarco, had a bunch of drinks, and woke up with a horrible hangover that lasted all day and all night. I didn't even want to leave the room to go eat and therefore didn't. Something like $150.00 including tip for some fruit, some below average pizza, and a can of diet coke. I couldn't really complain when I took thousands from the same casino the night before, but very few other people do that.
