It really comes down to good fundamentals+ an understanding of vibe/attitude needed to succeed in Hollywood +access.

Fundamentals/Preparation-
-Dress sharp. For hollywood, suit+square is great. Sportscoat+slacks+square is good too. Its too hot to wear a dress shirt, so I rock a colored V-neck. AVOID dress shirt+jeans (99% of the club is dressed like that).

I have gotten mad respect from bouncers, cops, hot model girls, promoters for being well-dressed. Sometimes you'll get comped because they think you work in the "industry".

-Go to the best venues w/the hottest women. Avoid all dive-bars.

-Warmup in a place w/hot women. You can't expect to drive to Hollywood, then go into the club and shoot fire-game. Start early and get your vibe on point. Chat up the parking guys, spit game on girls you walk by, chat w/the girls who come up to the bar.

I like the bar at trendy restaurants or trendy sushi bars. I order 1 item and a little bit to drink. (Even if you eat at home, just come out and have a drink or two to warm-up)

I usually start around 8.30-9.30pm and then hit the club around 10.30 -11.30pm.

Access- Get there early, grease the bouncer (20 or 40 is usually enough), or get to know promoters/hosts.

Vibe/Strategy- Difficult to describe, because I switch from different stages as the night progresses.

Early- Friendly, but not overly aggressive. Still in that "early-night game". Its kind of similar to a bday-party vibe. Just get to know people, touch base, let them know your face. Establish leads and keep moving through the crowd. People are still sober (no roving drunkards yet), so its easy to integrate into groups. (10.30-11.30pm)

Mid- More of the same, but ramp up the aggression a little. People will start drinking. This is the ideal time of the night to pick off a couple leads and start a little dance then bounce then to the smoking area. Most of your leads will be start coming through at this time. As it get later, you should continue approaching, but you might have to start doing direct-style game: grabbing girls by the hand that walk by, walking up into middle of group and saying hi to a girl. Bolder stuff. (11.30-12.45)

Late- Prepare for the bitch shields. Lots of thirsty, drunk dudes descend. 12.30pm+ is the beginning of the end. The dance floor will be too crowded- too many guys grinding up on random girls. This means dance floor is out of the equation now, at least for new girls.

12.30pm-2am is perfect time to do laps around the smoking patio, then through the dance floor briefly to scoop leads from before. Dance for 2 mins w/prior leads, then bounce them outside.

Its also a perfect time to get "girls in transition". Girls going to the dancefloor, going away from the dance floor. Just get in front or next to the girl, and spit some game. 1/2 the time you can integrate into her group for smokes or bounce her further into the dancefloor away from her group.

Tools of the Trade-
2 packs of smokes (expect to give away about 80% of them)
5 joints (same principle)
2 lighters
3 condoms, packet of lube (best be prepared)
2 packs of gum.

Bottle of vodka in the car.
Large sunshade+tinted windows (so you can sex in your car)

^^^ This + wallet,keys and cellphone means a suit is almost a necessity. Impossible to fit inside jeans.

Tips and Tricks
-Bounce girls by offering continuation of the night- food, ride, afterhours hookah bar, afterhours partyetc.

My favorite-
Me- Sweetie, lets go get food. Do you like eggs/chicken/etc?
Her- yes.
Me- Ok, great.
*Chatter. Chatter. And drive straight to my house.*
Her- where are we going?
Me- to my house. I want food.

Sometimes Ill make her food, sometimes I wont.

This is an excellent post, and is as depressing as it is inspiring. The night ends so early in Cali that you have to have sniper level game to get consistent success in that challenging environment.

What is a rough estimate night life budget for rolling out consistently 3-4 nights a week in the good clubs in LA?

@Tenerife- 100 buxs/night on weekdays, 150/night on weeekends. This means very limited alch consumption at clubs, as drinks are 12-15 dollars each. Cover is generally 20-30 dollars. Parking is 10-15 dollars. Light dinner at high-end spots is probably 20-30 dollars. Costs come down a little w/knowledge, but still its not cheap.

But yes, LA nightlife is very tough and challenging. Most people end up avoiding it, but those who do well, abs kill it here. There is really no middle-ground. Truly "Adapt or Die" Place.

@Wsidemd- Victor Drais is having a disagreeemnt w/the W Hotel over money. I think the W wants to jack up his rent, hes going to move towards the end of this year, close to the One Sunset (or at least thats the plan for now).

Hit lure on thursday for luresday. Its an abs madhouse. Fri/Sat is Emerson. I am partial to Supperclub for Friday, but I generally only go when big acts comes (Lil Jon, Run Dmc, etc etc)

Any dirt on The Powder Room or Dirty Laundry anyone?

My dates cost me $20 for one round of drinks, $40 for two, plus $5-10 for wine/liquor at my house. I usually get one round and then take her back to my place. Unless you realllly like clubbing, a first date from day/online game is a vastly better value proposition. Plus it doesn't fuck with your health and schedule nearly as much. And your odds on a per date/outing basis of getting the bang are 50-100% times higher.

The potential upside of clubbing is higher, but fleeting. Dates are rarely as spontaneous and adventurous.

I've been in hollywood for a week. checked out few bars on hollywood blvd and sunset (pearl,state). I didn't like it.

I listened to the advice above and went to Bungalow. It was great. It was spacious with great settings.

I am more into a bar scene where you can talk to many people. If you guys know any bars like this in LA area, please let me know.

As McQueen suggested, went to Aventine for dinner. The bartender told us to check out Warwick

Went there at 9:15. Offered the door guy $50 to get us in. He wouldn't budge, so we headed to Emerson Theatre. But my buddy was being a little bitch about the noise there, so we headed back to Warwick. $100 did the trick this time

Great spot; tons of hot women. I got shot down multiple times but kept plowing and still had a great time. Wish we would have been there all night

Winter is coming and spots are slowing down. Heres a day-by-day club sheet for Hollywood-

Monday- AV. ??? Never been, but heard its good IF you have tables. Its a tiny-club that is bottle oriented.
Tuesd- ???
Wed- SupperClub. Pretty cracking for a Weds night. Usually has 3-4 promoters that bring in BIG crowds. I was there this week, and it was packed. If you get there early, go to the bar next to SupperClub (farther away from Cherokee ave). Promoter rounds up people there and its easy to mix up in that group. (10pm- 10.30pm).
Thursday- Lure. Luresday still brings huge crowds. HOUSE!!!!
Friday/Saturday- Thats up to you.
