FSU girls - usually the hottest in Europe, usually the most conservative, and usually require the most dates to bang

Baltic/Central European Slavic/Balkan girls - usually a step below their FSU cousins, not as conservative, so ONS are possible

Western European girls - the worst of the lot in terms of looks, anything but conservative, and their short attention spans due to social media and Tinder practically require a bang within three dates or less

My social circle of friends are every race under the sun e.g yellow, brown, white and black and constantly pull.

I am trying to expand people's minds that race should not factor into it for you. It is only an issue if you believe it to be.

I'm not even going to bother arguing ad hominem attacks by some kid with 7 posts and 0 rep points. My post history speaks for what I've done.

When you answer to someone's post with a statement such as "EE girls will jump on an Asian dude dick, man! They ALL have yellow fever!", it's not at all unreasonable to call upon you to provide some sort of basis to those claims, either through anecdotal evidence, empirical observations, etc.

Readers here do take such posts seriously, so when the OP decides to head to EE based on the information on your post and (quite possibly) ends up not getting any action as promised, well, he's going wonder, "hey, what's going on? That iron93 dude said I'd get laid instantly!"

Haha going all superior based on post count? Get real. Since that is sooooo a definitive account of someone's knowledge and experience and not a reflection on how long they spent sat at a keyboard mentally masturbating trivial points. This isn't a video game to see how many points you can clock up on in a virtual world where jack all counts. I'm talking real s**t son.

I see you are not open to new viewpoints. Makes no difference to me. Stay in your bubble Wink I agree now, stay out of the EE, leave it alone for the rest of us that know what the real world is like. Focus on what you are good at and increase your post count.

I would say the mix of Mediterranean and Slavic genes makes South Slavic/Balkan girls quite attractive.

Also, Balkan chicks I find are more conservative than FSU/Russian girls. ONS are not as common as girls really care about their reputation, etc. I visited Serbia several years back and even the biggest players with money didn't get ONS. Most of their rotation girls come from social circle or ones developed from meeting at night clubs, etc. They can be very proud of their culture too so the highly preferred guy is a local one who understands where they are coming from.

Then again this is in reference to South Slavic Balkan types as Central European/Baltic ones are more open to ONS and dating foreigners from my experiences.

I would even categorize those women in threes as 1) Central European, 2) Baltics, and 3) South Slavic Balkan as the differences are vast!

@Brosemite - Interesting. I only scouted Sofia for a few days myself, so I had to use the opinions of guys like Roosh and Krauser to find a place for them in my list.

Roosh seemed to have a relatively easier time in Romania than in Ukraine. I think he did Romania in 2014 (when he published Poosy Paradise), while he did Ukraine for the first time in like 2012 (when Bang Ukraine came out).

Also, I remember Krauser, or maybe some other publicly-known London daygamer, posting that Serbian guys tended to be tall and jacked. I also recall Krauser posting that someone decided to hold a ridiculously massive daygame bootcamp in Belgrade last summer, which almost sarged the place out, even for him. Krauser also wrote that "Every Balkan girl thinks every other Balkan girl is a raging slut."

Of course, I myself haven't been for more than a few days, so the above is all second-hand at best.

^ Balkans can be split into
1) South Slavic Areas/Former Yugoslav States and then
2) Bulgaria (technically South Slavic too), Romania, etc

I think Romania would be easier than say South Slavic areas. Definitely much more open to dating foreign men as well.

Bang Ukraine was primarily constructed around only one city being Kharkiv (Kharkov). Roosh went there specifically to learn & practice his Russian in Eastern Ukraine at a cheaper price without the visa restrictions of Russia.

Other cities like Kiev, Donetsk, Odessa and Lviv were not mentioned at all in the book as Roosh may have gone to those places after publishing Bang Ukraine. I think he had easier mini-relationships with less resistance in those other cities however in contrast to Kharkov.

Who are you?

I'm not going to answer you yet, because you seem like the kind of newbie on this forum that seems to go around looking for a fight, which we get somewhat regularly.

Look, you don't know me, and I don't know you. For all you know, I'm an adolescent boy in his mom's basement trolling the forum. The only reason anyone even responds to me is because is I contribute positively.

So sit back, relax, and try to enjoy your stay here.

However, if you had contributed positively enough to earn a decent amount of rep points, I would've given you a straight answer.

I've hung with Serbs in Spain, Montenegro, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Never met a short Serb. They were all around my height (5' 11") or taller. Jacked — yes, but not as ubiquitous. Even Croats, whom I found to be a pretty tall people too, had a few shorties among their population. They never gave me the AMOG-the-underdog impression though.

I can't say that it locks out Asians from the Serbian market; if your physical difference makes up for that. It didn't for me in other tall regions (Nordic and Germanic nations). I did OK pipelining Tinder in Serbia (even though I had to eventually scrap that journey) and I included my height.

^^ I'd say Serbian women (people in general) can be very friendly. Being Asian will not be a disadvantage in itself as even local Serbian men of high status need to spend the time courting attractive females as well. It's just more of a relationship, trust building, and dating society opposed to ONS/short hook up. Showing strong interest & respect for the family-oriented tendencies of Serbian culture can go a long way as well. I know a Hispanic and SE Asian dude who married attractive South Slavic women in back home in Texas too.

There was a member who is unfortunately not here anymore named Buddha as he did well in Belgrade primarily with daygame & going date routes. Obviously, he had the privilege of living in Belgrade long-term.

Didn't get laid but the polish were very friendly people, easily hung out with some bros at Prozac and ended up chatting to pair of girls.
My next destination is probably Warsaw in Sept

RE: The Asian Guy Travel Thread
As a foreigner in Brazil (or even a Brazilian in general), it can be very hard sealing up your own apartment. There's a lot of cosigning from relatives, bureaucracy, and etc involved if you want your own pad for an extended period of time. I even tried the long-term rental strategies through Airbnb though it didn't come into fruition.

I went through interviews as a result with different people and ended up spending less than a year subleasing space from an older lady in a prime logistics neighborhood. She literally lived downstairs with her own space while I was upstairs with my own living room, rooftop, bedroom, and restroom. Only thing we shared was a kitchen.

From late January till about early March, I had to leave Brazil temporarily to take care of some things in the US/Asia where I was fortunately able to meet up with new RVF and old members from my past.

Interviews Conducted in February
The Brazilian lady downstairs knew that I was slated to leave the apartment "for good" after my commitments late May so conducted interviews for people to take over my space post-Brosemite departure.

Fast Forward to Early-Mid April.

A long holiday weekend was upon us as I was going to have some girls over on a Wed night. One of my buddies already banged the least desirable gal while another seemed really into me. Thankful that he hit one, I tried to turn this into a double play within a one week span.

So the gals came over as I had a bottle of wine. We drank a bit as the three gals got acquainted with the old lady downstairs. Needless to say, old lady is cool with me bringing chicks over to bang as long as I don't have too many people over..and obviously parties being a no no.

I transitioned the gals to the bar next door as we continued on with beers & I proceeded to escalate hard. While walking the three gals back to their car, I tried my hardest to persuade cocktease number 1 to come up with me again..but they were tired ugh..not even a makeout.

I go up to my room and decide to call it at midnight while forgetting to turn off my laptop/cell phone sound notifications.

Since I have Whatsapp on my laptop too, it chimed loudly at 1:30AM from a couple of gals waking me up. One of the gals was just over at my apartment, but it was a "hey how are you doing baby..sorry" bullshit message. The other was from a gal I met at a food truck event the previous week summoning me over to a club. Unable to sleep again, I leave my apt at 2:30 AM dressed up while hailing a cab.

At the club, music is great as we see each other again. She's obviously there with friends but was eager to see my ass again. Dances, drinking, and make outs lead to her wanting in at my apartment. Fortunately, we lived in the same neighborhood so easily enough...

The Kicker
Makeouts in the elevator and hallway lead to me opening the door and turning on the apt lights. Gal's response upon entering is.."wait..I think I've been here before.." I tell her she has the wrong apartment, but then she proceeds to tell me that she's only been living in my city for one month.

Turns out..she was one of the candidates who interviewed to take over my spot in this apartment in February when I was out of the country. During those conversations in my absence, old lady talked about the "guy living upstairs" so homegirl already acquired a description about myself through testimonies before we coincidentally met at a food truck event.

One Discrepancy
1) Lady said I was American
2) I told homegirl I was straight up from Asia (not an outright lie as I spent my infancy in Asia with grandparents)
3) In a long post for another time, it's exponentially better for Asian guys to say they are straight up from Asia opposed to being from "the West" in Southern Brazil. True story..but a post for another time

In bed, she asks for a shirt and didn't seem in the mood to have sex immediately though commented about how she liked the apartment. Her mom cosigned for her to have a small studio next to my place. If her mom didn't do that however, she would've loved to take over my spot.

After lying around for thirty minutes, she takes off her shirt and we go out at it all night and into the morning. Started with condom as we switched to aggressive raw dogging. Between sessions, girl gives me a look asking if I always have gals over like this or when I've last been tested, etc.

We proceeded to have morning coffee downstairs as she has a run in with the old lady I live with. Ended up being a cordial conversation between the three of us.

Right before I walk girl out back to her place however...old lady exclaims "Brosemite always has nice good looking female friends over...those three girls in the apartment last night were very pretty."

Girl then looks at me with a stare and says "wait..what were you doing last night before you saw me?!!?!" In a swift cover up, I exclaim that I had a "mixed set of people over for nearby dinner" (opposed to three girls). That smoothed things over as we proceeded to have lunch with my friends during a nice laidback holiday.

Anyways..thought I'd share that weird story.

Brose: why is it better to say you're from Asia in South Brazil? Thought they were into rich Americans.

Also Brose how does Brazil compare to East Europe in terms of 1) quality of girls (I prefer skinny type) and 2) quality of life as a relatively well off traveller? Heard there's problems with theft and crime

It's strange to hear girls you gamed at clubs expected that you weren't a player. What did they expect then? Smile

(05-08-2016 10:24 PM)Joeno Wrote:  Brose: why is it better to say you're from Asia in South Brazil? Thought they were into rich Americans.

Here comes the explanation (LONG): -

1) People might be enamored by meeting an American in Brazil...especially if one spoke Portuguese fluently like myself. They find it interesting & cool..though they're likely not going to put out on a drop of the hat. These gals in Southern, Southeastern, or Central-Western Brazil for the most part take time, though I have gotten quite a few one night stands here.

2) If you say you're from the US or West, they're emotionally programmed to think you can just leave the country or their city at the drop of the hat. Because their thinking process is..why would a "westerner" be in this city for so long anyways? Why would a foreigner want to stay in Brazil? Why would a foreigner want to stay in Brazil especially during a recession when the local currency devalued by 100% (now its 75% as I type this May 9th, 2016) making everything more expensive for locals?

3) Brazilians and especially ones in South are proud people. They'd rather invest in a rich or well off local guy from a good family opposed to a foreigner. People in Latin America have strong distrust issues..unless it's a darker skin indigenous/African breed gal in Northeast Brazil that is looking for her meal ticket and preferably older white guy who can give them kids with more European features.

Anyways, its not just about a local reputable guy. Roosh once wrote an article about Eastern European gals he's dated or banged..and at the end..the best ones gravitated towards a local guy who shared the same A) sense of humor, B) knowledge of local pop culture references, C) emotions, and D) overall background. Brazilian gals want that same thing too..even moreso IMO.

Even the best gals in say Thailand or Vietnam are going to gravitate moreso towards a local guy who's from a well off reputable family.

4) All women are emotional thinkers..there are some in Eastern or Western that can be logical thinkers. Brazilian women are exponentially more emotional. They prefer to have a Brazilian guy who can be overly emotional, start arguments, and reciprocate those hot jealous tempers back at them.

5) There have even been times where girls that did like me in Southern Brazil..only for them to not put out on dates...and then they decided to date another Asian guy...born in Brazil. This goes along with Roosh's argument about the local guy (in this case being Asian) sharing the same culture, national identity, and abstract emotional struggles that a local Brazilian gal can relate best to.

6) There have been one night stands..where alcohol, loud music, dance moves, and escalation were involved..so gals would go home with me solely based on attraction without knowing anything about my background, etc...only to find out about everything else afterwards.

7) There were some interested gals..that just cut off communication..when my wingmen exposed me as American (or if I exposed myself). If I did say I was from the US at times, its because some of my wingmen wanted to claim American status as well...but that never worked for them regarding dating chicks lol.

8) Its better to say you're from Asia..because business opportunities between Latin America and Asian markets keep growing..and the Asian guys studying Portuguese here (paid by their companies) usually stay quite awhile. That's a known fact amongst the common population in Brazil..the women therefore have greater emotional and mental incentive to invest their vaginas in you...with that being said...

9) I say I'm from Asia...but..that doesn't mean chicks will drop their panties. You still need relatively good fitness, style, Portuguese (it helps big time), grooming, and of course GAME.

Also, A) my non-verbal mannerisms are westernized, B) my game is also, C) my charismatic sense of humor is too, and not to mention D) my escalations are.

If people call me out for being westernized (not many), I just mention I have a lot of experience doing business with westerners not to mention I have relatives in Canada, US, Europe, etc.

10) There are Chinese immigrants that work as shop vendors and snack store owners in say Curitiba or São Paulo. They don't get out very much to nightlife, etc. Many of them are kind of Fobby...so being Asian alone isn't going to get you laid..it can be a negative connotation if you are perceived in that respect.

11) If you say you are American..or Westerner..theres a chance you might be cockblocked by local guys. It's not common in Southern Brazil for this to happen (it happens every blue moon..), but it's more common in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. Saying you're from Asia incentivizes local guys to help you because they feel you're more polite & less of a threat to them.

12) Asian guys in Southern Brazil are perceived as educated non-threatening people. Local Asian guys that are well-groomed and possess the same national culture local women can identify best with typically have a huge advantage over Asian travelers or ex-pats in Brazil.

In conclusion, you can't go wrong by telling gals you're from Asia while in Brazil as a foreigner...there are some things you need however:
A) Good backstory for being in Brazil
B) Preferably a backstory about work opposed to tourism
C) Preferably a backstory about the right industry (engineering, freelance, import/export, finance)
D) Oh yeah..this thing called "game."

I will answer the other half of your other question later on.

RE: The Asian Guy Travel Thread
Before I answer Joeno's questions, here is some insight I am copying & pasting from another thread regarding the tendencies of Brazilian women in the US:

Northeast Brazilian and Rio de Janeiro chicks - They tend to go for older white dudes so they can have financial stability and children with more Euro descent. Even the light skinned Nordestinas typically go for older naive white guys too.

São Paulo - These girls either go for Latinos or white dudes. Really a toss up. The gold digger interesseiras go for white dudes whereas the more homely ones go for Latinos.

South Brazil Mestizo (Indigenous Mix) Girls - These chicks tend to go for white guys

South Brazil European Girls - The good looking ones with more European descent are like total princesses that have to be coddled. They might like some pop culture aspects of Western culture, but they don't like buying into what mainstream white families emphasize. They tend to feel like outsiders in the US so typically date minorities that they "perceive to be in that same uncomfortable position they're in" such as Persians, other darker skinned Latinos, Filipinos, etc.

The two famous models from the South being Alessandra Ambrosio and Giselle Bundchen are obviously married to two powerful Caucasian guys...but they are typically HUGE exceptions to the rule based on the experiences & contacts I've had. In this situation, it's essentially ->>> social climbing >>>> more publicity >>>> more endorsements and modeling gigs based on celebrity partnership

I don't really see too many East Asians like myself in the US going after hot foreign women..bc to them..you're either A) in an Asian Bubble, B) Trying to be White, or C) Mildly going after a Latina...haha

1) Quality of Girls (Brazil vs. Eastern Europe) - Women in places like Belo Horizonte, Goiânia, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, São Paulo tend to have more European features from a facial standpoint, but with curvier bodies. There's quite a few slim chicks too that are tall. Due to the overall natural diet of the country, bodies here of much higher quality than women in the Anglosphere & possibly the West.

The places I've been in EE are Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, and Hungary. There are some good curvy women, but plenty of slim ones too. I find Polish chicks to be quite a bit curvy though there are many skinny framed ones too.

Have also been in Russia as you'll find many slim bodies thought with some curvy ones too. I have never been in Ukraine though.

2) Quality of life Between EE and Brazil = This is going to be my strongest point of emphasis where I convey..Brazil is definitely a great rewarding place though the demanding learning curve & time to really adapt is not for everybody

A) English levels, - EE definitely has higher English levels than Brazil..or Latin America really

B) Safety issues/Infrastructure - EE wins this again by a landslide. Safety issues can increase prices & mess with bang logistics. Public transportation getting from and to places can be a huge mess. A girl without a car depending on public transportation cannot risk possibly getting followed & mugged going to your place so that could delay her visit till say weekends day time leaving you a big lonely weeknights.

Taxis costs can be a huge backbreaker as well because the alternative is possibly getting mugged. Walking or taking a night bus home in Europe can be a common habit after some fun at the bars.

C) Car Ownership, - To really get the most out of living in Southern Brazil long-term, you really need a car. Curitiba and Porto Alegre are great places where you don't need cars..but if you want to go to the beach, etc..it'd be ideal to have one.
You can still take cheap buses to the beach towns, but getting to and from the different beaches in Santa Catarina cities can be expensive via taxi.

This is not the case in EE where not having a car should not hurt.

D) Making Friends/Social events/Peer pressure, - One of the great overall advantages of Brazil is making friends. It's not just about the gals. You'll meet guys who invite you to house parties, barbeque events, and other things with women. Meeting right guys can also guarantee you might be somebody who's family possesses a beach house where you can get a ride/lodging for free.

It can be a place with intense peer pressure however where people now and then might pressure you to get a bottle, share the cost of one, or pay a pretty expensive cover charge to go to a special charity event, etc etc.

I didn't really find this problem in EE though the camraderie of meeting people in Brazil is a great experience overall.

E) Beach time - When you're living in Southeast or South Brazil, you'll meet some rich motherfuckers who take expensive weekend trips to Rio, another beach town in the Northeast, or Santa Catarina that can cost up to 300-600+ USD every weekend while the country in general makes pretty low salaries on a global scale. And when these mofos take these trips, they'll let everybody know about via Instagram/Facebook getting the vaginas of their followers tingling.

Much like the notes on peer pressure above, life in Brazil can at times essentially be about "keeping up with the Joneses." (Imagery of leading a fun lifestyle that costs a good chunk of money)

Taking a weekend beach trip is something that can be expensive if you do not play your cards right. It also does not help that certain restaurants, etc can be more expensive there too. However, living in a major tier 2 city like Curitiba or Porto Alegre gives you good access to nice beaches in Santa Catarina that are on average 3-5 hours away via bus. It's a great lifestyle option to have as that weekend getting a tan on the coast can recharge those batteries.

This is one of these things in EE that are not as easily accessible though from certain EE cities, you can find some Ryan Air or Easy Jet tickets to say Southern Spain for a nice weekend.

F) Climate - Huge advantage of Southern Brazil over EE. However, some cities can be hot as fuck in the summer..and that really sucks without air conditioning.

G) Long-Term Apartment Living - There's a lot of bureaucracy that can prevent people from getting their own furnished apartments in Brazil. Foreigners typically have to sublease a furnished room in a situation like this & sometimes finding the right landlord whom will allow you to bring bitches back at night can be tough.

I believe the EE guys here on RVF have great connections & info for those interested in wanting to rent a furnished place for good prices there.

3) Cultural Resistance = There are some people who will say oh hey "Canada, US, or Australia are very isolated from rest of the world." The same can also be said for a place like Brazil or Argentina too not just with regards to their physical location but on a cultural level too. Examples:

A) Stubborn Tendencies, - South of the Carribean Sea, people...cannot (and will not)...eat...spicy...foods. Get that straight. If one of us Asian guys tried to introduce our types of cuisine to Brazilian women, they will likely not want to try it.

(In all fairness, my Chinese dad doesn't like spicy foods like many of his compatriots too)

There's also been an increase of Brazilians traveling to Southeast Asia due to ticket prices being as cheap as going to Europe or the US (special packages with layovers in Dubai/Abu Dabi). While some will talk about how they love the touristic side of Asian culture, many Brazilian women are simply not capable of processing the actual day to day aspects of Asian culture.

During a coffee date with a borderline SJW (though very pretty) that visited SE Asia, I tried explaining that Asians at heart are a bunch of politically incorrect people with certain stubborn cultural tendencies...she seemed to be in denial while deflecting to the "beauty of nature in Vietnam." An EE chick would have however got the gist of my message in that situation.

It's obvious Eastern European women do not grow up eating spicy foods...but if it means trying new Asian cuisine, they will put up with it minus the complaining. That's applicable to Western Europeans as well (like Scandinavia, etc) as they will learn to embrace it. Eastern European women are naturally more "curious" and capable of embracing Asian cultural values while being more willing to learn more about it...(not just the whole backpacker natural beauty bullshit...)

The discussions with EE chicks can therefore be much more interesting as a result.

B) Isolation from Rest of World (Speaking of food) - It can be tough trying to find good Asian food in major Brazilian cities apart from Sushi. When I was in Wroclaw or Prague, I found good Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes.

Due to import taxes in Brazil, specialty sauces & ingredients can drive a price of a $8-12.00 USD Pad Thai dish in North America to $25.00 at a restaurant. Not kidding.

C) Willingness to try new things - This is where Eastern European women IMO are much more worldly & pleasant opposed to their Brazilian counterparts. In Southern Brazil, there are many descendants of Italian, German, Japanese, and Portuguese ancestry.

Therefore, there is a great appreciation of Italian food here that is exponentially better than what you'd find in North America. Also most of the Italian influence in Latin America comes from the North whereas in the US..its mainly from Southern Italy/Sicily, etc. Good food from the ethnicities above here in Brazil too though not great.

When it comes to branching out on an overall level however, Brazilians can be a bit stubborn/resistant towards new ideas in general. Ideas that pick up faster in Asia, Europe, or the Anglo World can at times take much longer to be accepted in Latin America.

If there's a huge plus about Brazil though, it's not under persistent threat of Sharia Law migrants though lol.

All bitches want "players" that can tap their emotional buttons most effectively. The array of buttons depend on each individual while their cultural surroundings play a role in that too.

Come at them in a charismatic objective manner...then escalate as usual..who gives a fuck.

Here comes the explanation (LONG): -

Hahah it was the same in Colombia. It was way easier just saying I was from Asia, but studied in Canada because I wanted to see the world. And hence the travelling and interest in languages.

Comes down to similar factors. Gringo guys don't have the best reputation there, for reasons obvious. Asian investment in South America and kpop helped in some cases.

Unfortunately being Chinese doesn't have the same cachet as being Korean, even in South America. But I just couldn`t bring myself to lie about that lol.

Yes..your stereotypical "gringos" don't have best reputation down here.

At times, there's not a lot you can do unfortunately. From people of Mexican descent in my state of Texas all the way down to my current setting being Curitiba, Brazil...Latin Americans at times will just simply shit on educated gringos (even ones that can speak their native language) due to their inferiority complexes.

This is something that I did not encounter much of in say Eastern Europe.

With that being said, I'm still very happy with the abundance of great people I've met & wouldn't trade my experience down here for anything.

You bring up an interesting point as this is a serious "first world problem." How can people of Chinese descent make themselves more marketable in the mainstream world?

Coming from a guy who is half Chinese/half Vietnamese descent, here are perceptions of Asian ethnicities on a mainstream level that I've noticed:

Japanese - Trendy light food. Technology, automotive, and fashion leaders. Clean efficient country that is organized. Fashionable good looking people

Korean - One of the more efficient languages out there with one alphabet opposed to three alphabet system of Japanese or inefficient Chinese characters. Kpop, Kdrama, and fashionable tendencies that is easier for the average person to grasp. Food is becoming trendier as well. Most Korean guys seem to keep to themselves back in the US regarding dating....but white girls typically get excited when they meet a Korean. (I have a Korean face and get asked that a lot..when I say no..it becomes a conversation buzzkill...)

Vietnamese or Filipinos - Population is more alpha & forward than the typical East Asian immigrant in the US. Both places are becoming more trendy to visit with regards to tourism as Vietnamese food shifts towards greater popularity too. I've met white girls that have said things like "oh hey..I know how you Viets (or insert Filipinos) roll" with enthusiasm.

Chinese - Cheap manufactured goods (or brands) that are not as highly reputable much like their counterparts in Japan/S. Korea. China as a country known for pollution, overpopulation, etc. Whereas Koreans have Ken Jeong, Randall Park, and John Cho in mainstream media..Chinese have Eddie Huang (who is kind of an insecure fat SJW).

There's definitely people that are very interested in the rich Chinese culture, gastronomy, and traditions. Just doesn't seem to be as easily comprehensible or rather catchy in mainstream society though.

Wow thanks for the very detailed post Brose. It reaffirms my belief that SA is prob not suited for the Asian dudes like myself who don't drink alcohol n party hard and prefer the skinny / petite type. I would still love to go visit though.

You're right the "Chinese" brand has been plenty raped by American fear mongering and political power plays in the last decade. Although I don't think in South America it would make a big difference. Nor in Europe, or even America. The only place where I felt in my experience it made a difference is in Asia. I'm guessing you just need to say you are from "Asia" and the local Brazilians would get it.

Its intesting you would say that Koreans have the benefit of Ken Jeong (a short small penis stereotype) while we have Eddie Huang - a fat dude true but who's considered pretty cool and masculine by most people who's seen his stuff. Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things but just thought I'd point it out.

You can get by day gaming in the right type of city instead of night life...especially with a beach where it's even more favorable. It just ultimately depends on the resources of your city and how patient you are with day gaming & trying to schedule a bang date as a result of it.

I'm personally a bit impatient at times and a semi-type A controlling person during the day time so gaming at nights whether through bars, clubs, or gutter street game fits my personality the best.

Good points.

There is no disadvantage in being of Chinese descent with regards to gaming. I'm proud of my half-Taiwanese ethnicity as everyone should too regarding their roots. Regarding social situations, it can be a "catchier" advantage if mentioning those other ethnicities to your audience however.

By 2016, it's a well known fact that Ken Jeong is more well known than just small penis Leslie Chow from Hangover. He's widely respected with his own sitcom, a working MD, and an accomplished comedian. I mention Randall Park & John Cho because both guys give off the fit and well-groomed persona most Asian guys should strive for.

Eddie Huang is definitely well-accomplished. There is another side to him that is the undesirable fat loner who echoes his bitterness while growing up in public in turn sending the wrong message across to Asian players.

Huang is definitely respected in the Asian (or hip hop) community fulfilling the "get money" aspect through innovative means, but he's the last example an Asian guy should follow to complete the equation being "fuck bitches."

Abstaining from alcohol won't be a problem. You're from a different country and culture. People will just accept it if you say you don't drink. Some girls might even like it, as you'll sound more like a serious guy. And from what I found, most people don't drink to excess like in the US. So I wouldn't say the party culture is exactly the same.

Or, straight up, just learn to nurse a beer. Most people won't notice.

Lots of smaller/petite girls. I wouldn't let that deter you.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. China lacks soft power at the cultural level. There's no quick fix, unfortunately.

Having decent facial genetics and style, I also am asked if I'm Korean -- or, to a lesser extent, Japanese. When I tell them I'm Chinese, they tell me I don't look it.

They're either trying to pay me a compliment (similar to how you would tell a Chinese girl that she looks Korean/Japanese). Or they genuinely think Chinese people are unattractive and I don't fit within that belief. My typical response is that there are a lot of Chinese people out there and that our look is varied.. followed by a smile and a wink.

I agree with all your points. I would emphasize:

Gastronomy: I think this is the perfect example. There are Chinese restaurants everywhere: North America, Latin America, Europe, whatever. They're all low end, downmarket places. Sure, they're successful businesses. But they're never seen as hip, trendy, or instagram worthy. Sushi sits at the other end of the spectrum. I think it comes down the Chinese mentality of "good enough", as opposed to Japanese perfectionism. This is going to be really tough to change.

Cheap China goods: Yeah, this is pretty pervasive. I will say that this is slowly improving with some brands moving upmarket, e.g. Xiaomi, Huawei, Haier, OPO. There's a lot of political will to do so too, as I'm sure the government realizes they can't rely on being a low cost manufacturing center for much longer. But whether the businesses will adopt a TQM style approach like Japan and Korea and then compete at that level.. I'm cautiously optimistic lol.

Media: Hah, I think we have enough trouble getting Asian actors in Hollywood, let alone Chinese ones. I think any Asian actor would be a step in the right direction, so I'm not too fussed about that.
Overseas, it seems like there's more and more money being pumped into the entertainment industry in China. My fear is that they'll pump out a lot of movies/artists and they'll all be shit. There isn't yet a focus on quality -- good writing, acting, directing. That may change, and will have to do so to get anything like the Hallyu wave.

On the flip side, I found that people in LatAm generally had respect for China as a superpower. The fact that it could go from third world to rivaling the US so quickly was respected, and gave hope that they could do the same. And I remember being in Korea in '97, when I was a kid. It was kind of shitty then, and Samsung was still a third-tier shit brand. They climbed out of that hole within a decade. So who knows.

But yeah, tldr, communism engendered a lot of shitty values in China. This is one of the outcomes. Fuck Mao. Wonder what China would have been like if the KMT had won.
