Thoughts on Argentina/Brazil trip
hey guys
would be great to get your input on this
i just came back from spending 2 weeks in Malaysia (KL) and Indonesia (Bali & Jakarta).
i know there are numerous reports on this forum saying how great these places are but i have to say i was very, very dissappointed esp by the quality of girls in these places (though on other levels it was a very satisfying trip: awesome food, interesting culture, friendly people etc).
Yep, Indonesian girls are very easy but I didn't travel halfway across the world to hook up with girls i wouldn't look at twice back home
looking forward, i'm now gonna focus more on latin america. have been to colombia (fucking awesome) and brazil (SP and Rio: pretty good but found it a bit hit n miss sometimes) and am now looking at checking out some new places.
Argentina has always appealed to me; I know there have been several threads on Argentina in this forum, esp Cordoba and BA, and their pluses and minuses: very hot but difficult girls.
Everyone i know who's been to Brazil said it was awesome though my trip to SP and Rio was good but always felt i was hanging out at the wrong places the wrong nights etc and found it difficult to get out of the touristy and P4P (which i don't do) scene.
Would be awesome to get input from guys that know these countries. i'm planning a trip for Feb/March and so far am planning on this itinerary:
-Wed to Sunday: Cordoba
-Sunday-Wed: BA
-Wed-Sun: Belo Horizonte (Brazil)
i know this doesn't leave me much time in each of these places but this is all the time i can take off work
how does this sound to people that have hit up these cities?? is there another second tier city in brazil that i should check out instead of BH??
i'm very tall and northern european looking (if that makes a difference), speak intermediate spanish and am planning a quick n dirty pimsleur portuguese offensive before going
thanks for any advice!!
by the by, i caught this music video on TV the other day but can't find out whose it is. it's a couple of black RnB artists/rappers and the video consists of a large number of totally hot latin american girls dancing on a beach next to the flag of their country (Brazil, Colombia etc)
anyone know the name of this?? can't get it out of my head

RE: Thoughts on Argentina/Brazil trip
If you're mainly there for the girls, I'd suggest you to skip Argentina all together and focus on Brasil exclusively. Argentina is a beautiful country but it's more a place to take a hot and fun Brasileira with you to spend a nice and relaxing weekend in BA than going there to pick up an Argie. When I was in BA, I wasn't impressed at all and couldn't wait fast enough to be back in Brasil.
In Brasil, BH is a great city to go to specially if you have some existing contacts there. Easy to do, open an account on Orkut or search for people in BH on Facebook. Make friends with both guys and girls online before you go and you'll have a blast there. Based on I've been hearing from friends, both Brasilians and foreigners, the girls in BH are stunning, easy going and it's a relatively safe and nice city.
Also, will depend on what you would like to do besides just chasing girls. I mean, would you want to be in a beach town or an interior city with cultural things to do? Or eco tourism? That will help us to give you some suggestions. So do tell us more what you'd like out of this trip and we can better guide you.

RE: Thoughts on Argentina/Brazil trip
@ Badstuber - cheers for the link; i love how those girls move
@ Vacancier - you're right, i should have been more precise in my post
i would say if i had to break down reasons for travelling, girls are about 50%;
25% is going somewhere i haven't been before, finding out about new cultures, different people etc;
the remaining 25% are about fun/relaxation which can be anything from great food, friendliness of a people, great landscape/scenery, worthwhile cultural things, day spas, ability to unwind and take it easy; visiting the amazon is not smth i'd be looking to do
i realise that BH is not a beachside city and as such will have less going on during the day, but one of the reasons i never felt completely at ease in rio was due to crime and from what i understand BH is considerably safer. i believe vitoria is on the coast as well but isn't as safe as BH from what i've been told
any suggestions would be much appreciated
