Not to hate, but to keep it real, I really doubt Nomad is making decent money printing posters, playing in a Bob Marley cover band, or working at his parents pub, (these are all things I heard he does to make $$). Maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't doubt that he's got some kind of family money, trust fund, or his parents are very generous with supporting his lifestyle.

That's just what I'm guessing, I could be wrong, but I don't know too many cats who made enough money to travel all over the world consistently off small time hustles like printing posters or playing gigs at dive bars.

Either way more power to him, he does appear to be pretty legit, the video was cool and entertaining to watch. Some people seem to imply that he exaggerates some of his stuff, it's quite feasible that he does, but since I don't really follow his blog and read his book, I'll try to withhold judgement.

Dressing up like a pirate and what not is definitely not my style, but he does seem to pull it off, and crush way more ass than I ever have, so more power to him.

NN is a low-budget traveler (I don't mean that as an insult). It doesn't take that much money to do what he does. I think the skeptics here are way overestimating the cost of his type of travel.

My issue with NN in addition to being sceptical about how he can afford constant travel is also some of his field reports data and posts on his blog/forum, especially the whack rankings. For example, he visits a place like Ukraine, Kiev "I arrived with 6 girls phone number, but only had 3 days. It seems to me that frequently NNs success comes from pipelining in advance which most will agree here is the lowest form of game. While he has some amazing stories, especially about slaying women in some of the most inhospitable climates, he also seems to rely too much on his "crew" for a good time. Here's his post about Krakow which seems to completely contradict experiences of many forum members:

"I’ve been to Krakow three times, so I obviously like it! All occasions were weekends when I was with large groups. The summer months are lovely, but winter is better for locals. Every time I’ve went I’ve had completely different experiences; with one consistency – utter inebriation. The first time I went things got WAY out of hand, but that story is for another day. Pretty sure, NN must be the only pickup-traveler to recommend Warsaw women over Krakow. Anyways, those two examples are just a start. I could keep going and going down his list of countries/cities and their rankings. For example, his recent trip to Luxembourg (featured earlier in the voyage to Somalia video) he ends up again pipelining and even admits he made no cold approaches.

His post on Minsk, Belarus is some more junk: ". A lot of the younger generation have some English. You can hook up here in pubs but know that people in Minsk are very “cliquey[/b]”"
Let's see, NN stays in Minsk for all of 2 days, does not get an SNL and then says hooking up in pubs can happen there and that people are very cliquey? I haven't been to Belarus in some time but last time I traveled there as a tourist English level was very low, girls in Belarus are quite conservative and unlikely to put out on first meet-up. Again also contradicts field reports from members on this forum who have spent extensive time there.

Finally I personally much rather prefer reading solo travel stories as gaming without a capable wing is definitely more challenging especially when infiltrating mixed groups. As Neil Skywalker mentioned earlier in this thread it is hard for some of us to relate to NN when we do not have a ready crew of wingmen to accompany us on such drunken trips. Thus this is the main reason why I think he is a bit overrated and too many guys are hyping him up.

By the way I might be getting old but I prefer the Intransit guy to NN, at least he immerses himself in a country and its culture staying for weeks at a time. Video below is still my all time favorite on Russia travel:

Different strokes for different folks. Two people can go to the same pub or city and have two completely different experiences and opinions. So many variables to account for. No offense but your post just comes off as hating. Whether you like his style or his taste in nightlife, this man is the real deal which has been proven numerous times. NN is living life and making things happen. Give the man his due.

That is a very, very serious allegation to make against any person. You better have a source to back that up or withdraw it.

I have had my disagreements with NN in the past but a drug dealer he aint. He's an honest hard working bloke.

I can't remember 100%, but I think he said something about selling small bags of weed in the past. Dime bags to friends and shit. I definitely wouldn't call him a drug dealer, and I'm pretty sure he said it as if he did it in university or something like that, not that he currently sells weed. Definitely not a full blown drug dealer.

As said above, he has mentioned working in his family pub and playing music gigs. Most of his trips seem to be pretty short. I don't think he needs a whole lot of money for the type of trips he takes.

The older you get, the more your crew gets decimated.

I cant tell you how depressing it is, when I cant get a crew together. THen I just get over it a go alone. Most of my non RVF friends wont approach. So its alien to them, that I do what I do. Sometimes it kills the vibe as well, because the girls are laughing at what i'm saying and they see my friend just shaking there head, or looking down wit there hands in there pocket. So i just approach alone.

Everytime I've done it successfully was by accident or just took a very long time.

Financially successful guys that like to party, like to travel and will approach hot girls are worth their weight in gold.
