This post was almost like it was written specifically for me. It wasn't like I was a hardcore poosy hunter before I went there, but two weeks in Poland just completely declawed me. It's been three months and I've not been on the attack since.

It's easy to get down about American women, and we'd be right about it for many reasons, but I have to be honest - whether I like it or not, I have a solid understanding of why things work the way they do over here, and then completely ignored it and went down the easy road of fucking up. Ergo, I haven't been laid in a bit.

I appreciate Roosh being forthcoming about the very thing that nobody wants to admit here. It was a good, inspiring post and helped me kind of pinpoint what's going on in my life.

You've got to hand it to Roosh, he admits he makes mistakes and does pretend that he picks up hot girls on every approach. Unlike some writers out there who you lead you to believe girls never reject their approaches.

I have to say that this one sentence above really nails it.
If you don't keep feeding your own fire, the flames will reduce and eventually go out....and it takes ages each time for it to be re-kindled once it's spent.

It's been over 3 years since I became red pill aware and consciously started using/applying game and I know that if I'm not getting the results I want, it's nothing but my own fault for not putting in the work and staying active. If you are not consistently doing the approaches on hot girls that make you nervous (especially with daygame) and pushing out of your comfort zone, it's very easy to get lazy and go back to a semi beta-like state. I know for a fact that my confidences drops when I'm going through a dryspell that's due to laziness/making excuses on my part.

I think a common misunderstanding for newbies is that killing your old beta self is some kind of one-off, one-time thing and irreversible from then on.
No, it is not.
You have to put in work year in and year out to stay 100% red pill. Hence why I started the thread asking:

How many years did it take you to fully destroy ALL your old beta habits ?

Gaming is like training muscles that need to be flexed on a weekly basis to stay in shape. Backsliding to beta is similar to getting fat again after you've spent a lot of time and effort losing a lot of weight. You need to monitor yourself constantly and having amazing self discipline in stopping yourself in regressing to old bad habits, while at the same time encouraging the new good ones.

I also know that if each year isn't better than the last one, then I'm not putting in enough work.

I agree. Game is like a muscle, hard to build up and easy to atrophy. It's crazy how easily gains can be lost from finding yourself in even ONE bad relationship. Luckily, once most of us have taken the red pill, a complete regression to beta mode is unlikely. I think the most any of us really have to worry about are the occasional slips of beta behavior. Nobody's perfect, so don't become paranoid about it. No one can be alpha 100% of the time. It is important, however, to be mindful of your actions and willing to put yourself in check when necessary.

I'd say it's only partly an ongoing process.

Your Game skills aren't lost overnight. They can take years to build up and just as long to go away. Even then you'd still have some base knowledge and "muscle memory" left back from your player days.

There's also the consideration of *residual lead generation*.

If you have:
- Some sort of lifestyle business e.g. you're the owner of a club
- Or fame game
- Or you are a social connector
- Or you have access to elite social circles
- Or have some job which requires heavy networking
etc

Then you can bring in many more new girls into your life than you would have done if cold approaching instead.

In fact, it's my belief that if every man had a passive pussy stream, then no man would get married and backslide into beta.

When we get older we want to settle down, simply because we lack the energy to keep cold approaching. We're tired of throwing logs into the fire.

If however you have a gas fire and plenty of spare fuel, then you can continue to fuck forever.

The values of a long term relationship are intangible and hard to articulate.

I think the key insight I've read recently is that a lot of men underplay the affection they get from a chick, and over estimate the sex value.

I think once you see the light there is no going back. You might be rusty but you will get back into the groove quickly. Ive heard different thoughts on this from advance guys but in my experience it was I got rusty but I got it back quick after a break.
