Yes I do. I personally think that facebook makes more sense if you get settled somewhere for a little longer, so you can get to know friends of cool friends, ladies, check events etc. I think a "just-traveling" account wouldn't make much sense, if you're not coming back and you're just there just get her number and call her, it's more personal anyways. In my case, if I ever return to germany, I'll close down my second or third account and tell that fraction of people I still want in my life my original facebook so they can join me there with my "real" friends and visit me and hang out. This is all more of a workaround to not get distracted and to not leak out what you're doing or where you're at right now, the temptation is always there. plus if you have separate facebook accounts for those places you live at you can of course use it for girls way better....
Next year I'll move to the states for half a year --> new facebook account. it's also a working line with girls, I've never been on facebook because at home I have enough friends...do you want to be my first/second/third friend? Worked pretty well here..

It seems that you and I are on a similar train of thought regarding that we can use Facebook as one of many tools at our disposal; however, NOT necessarily to get too caught up in FB as some exclusive means of communicating with girls during our travels - accordingly, for some girls, we would NOT even use FB and for other girls it may prove to be a useful tool for communicating and/or gathering information.
I do appreciate hearing from your perspective of a guy who has already created and attempted to deal with multiple accounts, and it seems that you are adjusting your strategy to make it work for you.
I'm NOT sure whether you and I are on the same page regarding closing FB accounts, though - b/c personally, I have never really seen a need to close any FB account. If that works for you, then surely, you should do what works for you. Personally, I do NOT like to create too many identities b/c it is just too difficult for me to keep track.. or my personal preference is that i need to limit the number of identities for my own sanity and or style.
Also, I tend to NOT use FB very much - like I may NOT read it for several days in a stretch and if i do, I frequently do NOT spend hours on it - however, once in a while I will spend extensive time on it - whatever it is my choice. In that regard, I may chose NOT to respond to some of the solicitations from friends and/or acquaintances. If some real friend suggests that they tried to communicate with me through FB, which does happen from time to time, or that I should have seen something that they posted in my thread, I may say that I have NOT seen it or that I saw it and I have NOT yet been able to respond to it. Or sometimes, i may even suggest that if they really want to communicate with me directly, then they need to do so more directly rather than assuming that I would Notice something that I was tagged in.
In that regard, like some other guys have already mentioned, FB is a tool that I use to my own liking rather than allowing FB to control me or to bother me in some kind of way. Personally, I appreciate being able to see information posted in FB by people that i know, but I access such information at my own leisure... and sometimes, i am in the mood to scan through the friends of people that i know in order to attempt to broaden some of my acquaintances in a certain direction - ultimately FB has been one of many useful tools.
