My Cheapo Goodwill Shirt With A Weird Slogan Is Getting Me Numbers
A few months ago at Goodwill I bought a very cheap t-shirt that happened to have a weird slogan on it: "Ten years of experience." It's from some obscure audio company.

I thought nothing of this, but twice now when I went up to cash registers wearing it women asked "What's 'Ten years of experience?'" I had no answer, but that's not the point.

The point is: it served as an opener for me to get numbers and....why did I never think consciously to do this?! Probably because it's not obvious. If you wear a shirt with a company name or slogan everyone knows about (like Nike), no one is going to ask you about it. But if you wear a shirt with an odd saying, people will ask. This never occurred to me, but it clearly intrigues people.

So get thee to a Goodwill or Salvation Army and find shirts from obscure companies with odd sayings. IMO this is a way for girls to approach without them having to admit to themselves they're approaching. The irony is that I bought this as a "junk shirt" to wear while I was exercising or out doing things like changing oil. Now it goes to the top of the pile, past the nice Polo shirts.

RE: My Cheapo Goodwill Shirt With A Weird Slogan Is Getting Me Numbers
hipsters found this out years ago.

I frequently get stopped by people in the street when I'm wearing this shirt:

I think they're intrigued by the foreign language and the earthy, eco-friendly tone to it all.

I like wearing this shirt after people get to know what I'm about (having a good time, joking around). I think it's funny and girls always comment on it.

RE: My Cheapo Goodwill Shirt With A Weird Slogan Is Getting Me Numbers
It all comes full circle. This is basically toned down peacocking. People laugh now at Mystery, but what were the goggles and furry hat for? The necklaces and bracelets? To get girls gabbing. Ironic t-shirts serve the same purpose. For that matter, so does anachronistic 19th century facial hair, to connect this to the beard thread.

It gives girls a hook to talk about, so the guy either doesn't have to open or more likely if he does, he can still allow the girl to push the conversation forward.

I wore the Three Wolf Moon before it got totally played out and would get mad play for it. It cost me like $8, but I paid a tailor like three times that amount to bring it in and make it less boxy.

But this whole thing goes back to Mystery-era Game 1.0: girls love gimmicks. We've come full circle. I'm going to start doing magic tricks soon.

EDIT: Holy shit. Therapsid made the same comment right above me. Eerie. It's the power of the Three Wolf Moon!

I used to wear this one. Needless to say it was always a conversation starter.

Dude I got a Three Wolf Moon shirt from the Goodwill for $1. I should get it tailored, that's a kickin' idea.

One of you guys in Hollywood should get that thrown into wardrobe.

No one would even know what it means and would think it's just another hipster t-shirt.

Get it on the Big Bang Theory or something.

This shirt got me some action. I'm too old to pull it off now. "T-shirt game" in my experience is really a younger man's game.

RE: My Cheapo Goodwill Shirt With A Weird Slogan Is Getting Me Numbers
I agree that depending on the demographic you're going for (as well as your age to some extent), the t-shirt thing will have varying degrees of success. It's another example of wearing something UNIQUE. This could be a combination of colors (that look good on you), a funny/interesting t-shirt logo/text, or something more mystery-peacocking-esque.

The absolute BEST t-shirt I ever wore (as far as positive female attention) was a reversible shirt that an ex-gf bought me. On one side it said "I LOVE MY GIRLFRIEND" and on the inside it said "I HATE MY GIRLFRIEND."

I started wearing it inside-out jokingly long ago when she and I had broken up and the amount of positive female attention I received was staggering to my then nearly entirely beta mindset. Seriously, pairs of hot women opened ME without me so much as looking their way. I didn't know what to do with myself other than wear the shirt more often.

Nowadays I try to take note of when I wear something "right" with regards to hot female attention. As another example, I've got a slight v-neck shirt that makes me look more in-shape than I am and I have a social media picture that I don't think is that great but that women pretty much universally love. I wear those types of shirts a lot more often and my hair that same way too. The pose is not smiling, it's looking up without even a smirk on my face.

Be unique or interesting, pay attention to what women do, not what they say. Standard shit but a great case in point.

The idea that American blacks invented game or understand women better-which I keep hearing repeated- is ludicrous.

Read Ovid, or Shakespeare, or Casanova, or Mencken or a book called "Modern Woman and How to Manage Her written in 1910, or The Way of a Man with a Maid, 1908 or other old pornographic novels.

I'm sure a little research would turn up shelves of novels, plays essays written by men who weren't black illustrating game principles. None of this shit is new.
