That HIV story is pretty eye opening. I think it's safe to say that along with rising homelessness, drug addition, suicide, etc... in the US, you are going to find rising rates of HIV. Already they say ghonorrea and chlamydea rates are sky rocketing. That's interesting since apparently the youngin's aren't having as much sex, but perhaps it's less sex with more people, or just the sex is more with mega high notch count guys who spread all these diseases far and wide.

there's a book called key logger by Nicholas Jack that talks about this subject. Dude put a keylogger so could read all girls texts/ social media. This was in 2013 I imagine it's way worse than now. What he found? 90% of girls he was seeing were sluttier than he perceived. Even the sluts.

If a girl seems like a slut, rest assured she's even MORE of a slut than you think.

Looking back on it now, it shouldn't have shocked or upset me as much as it did.

This was in an area that has a known HIV epidemic (I won't say where for obvious reasons.) Also, I spent many, many years talking to college kids about these exact subjects. Far more often than you would think, it is the 3L law student who is really quiet and doesn't seem to date. Well, the reason she doesn't date is because she caught HIV from her dealer when she was a Sophomore English major. I think a lot of people think only South Africans get AIDS or something. No. There are a lot of white bread, vanilla people living in the suburbs who have it.

It's interesting that you would mention the decline in sex partners, because that does play in to all of this. An interesting study came out years ago which focused on something called the Divergent Set Phenomenon. There were communities of devout, churchy black women in the US, who swore up and down that they were never unfaithful to their husbands, and, yet, they had caught HIV. As the study eventually showed, the husbands were, almost to a man, infected. And, there was strong evidence that the husbands caught it from having sex with other men. The researchers worked it out that - looking at it from both mathematics and epidemiology - it is far worse that a population has groups with wildly divergent sexual practices, if those groups occasionally sexually interact with one another.

This is the direction the sexual market is going in places like the US. It is divergence. There is a group that is becoming less sexually active. But, there is a smaller, dedicated group that is going full-bore. Those are the ones carrying a viral load that could kill your average pornstar. And, they occasionally sexually interact with the sexual conservatives, which is a recipe for disaster.

So, now that I've entirely derailed, back to the shit on girl's phone thing...

If this thread teaches us anything, it should be what my experience taught me. There is no shame in spying on or looking in to a girl if you feel like you should. Not something I found on a girls phone, but this story is forever burned into my memory:

About 2.5 years ago a girl I had previously dated but had left my city texted me out of the blue that she was in town and wanted to grab a drink. I knew through the grapevine that she had recently gotten engaged. She was very pretty, had a very sweet look and you’d never think she’d be the type to cheat (I know now there is no cheating type).
