I know what you are feeling. I was in a similar spot years ago the first time I lived in Bangkok. It never got so bad that I didn't have any money in my account but I was certainly stressing out about my budget each month.

From reading your stories the obvious answer is to stop drinking. Make a commitment to stop drinking for one month. Go to bed before 2am and get 8 hours of good sleep. You will find the amount of time you have in a day will increase dramatically if you are not spending so much time each night drinking and each morning recovering with a hang over the night before.

Like many of us I fell into the trap of going out 5 nights a week until 6am, sleeping until 3pm, recovering my hangover until 9pm, just in time to go out at 11pm and do it all over again. There is no way to be productive in this kind of lifestyle.

You have already accomplished what many people dream about and that is making money online living anywhere in the world you want. Now it's time you make a conscious effort and do what you know needs to be done. Drinking another beer or fucking another girl is going to bring you little happiness compared to how much stress will be lifted from your life if you get your financial house in order.

You know what needs to be done. Do it.

I second this. Get a cheap place with decent internet, snatch up a little dark skinned Cambodian girl for the month, and vow to work 4 hours per day, 6 days per week, for one month. Bang out those 4 hours as soon as you wake up, and you have the rest of the day free. I'm always way more productive, and way more happy, when I get a few hours of work done before noon. Sets your day off right.

This is the downside to living in paradise. It's too easy to get "island mentality". People become a product of their environment. It might help to surround yourself with motivated expats to get more work done. Like going to gym. I always get more down when someone is around to motivate me on the days I don't wanna go.

Yeah, I'm not too bad off, just need to step up my pace a notch, put in time on my marketing, and keep the steady flow going. I make my deadlines - I just only commit to so many.

Haha Yeah, I've still been jotting down some interesting stories. They're mostly going in my journal and on my computer to be saved for a book or blog though. Never really planned to do anything manosphere so not sure how I will angle it, but I don't want it to be completely square and fake either.

Sorry for the soap opera but I like to keep it real. I'll highlight my good qualities, but I'm not afraid to expose my flaws and weaknesses either - I cap on myself about as often as I talk myself up. Important for a writer, in my opinion.

Yep, I agree, guys - definitely not the first time I've gone through this cycle and I always do best on that type of schedule too. Thanks for the support everyone.

I already did the month away from the bars before I left Samui but a new location always gets my wheels spinning full-gear again - one of the hardest things about moving around. At least going to cool it out to weekends for going out to clubs and avoid late-night easy-shoring bar.

Anyhow, today I got some work done after I finished dicking around on the forum earlier and then crashed out for a bit. Woke up around 10:30pm or 11 to see some money had reached my account. Rather than get a tuk tuk I threw on my sneaks and jogged downtown to hit the ATM, so got some good exercise (kinda nice that the tuk tuk drivers leave you alone when you're running too). Even had a slow bus creep up beside me just as I was going to slow to a walk and I threw my fat-ass in gear and raced them for a while.

Just got back and feeling pretty good - should be able to get a good night's rest and get back on my grind in the morning.

I have read quite a few of BBs posts, and I am not sure whether he has a drinking and partying problem... but I do see why people say that.

@ BB - and @ Rio - I am wondering if it may be more practical to plan for working 4 days a week rather than 6 days and to see if that works? And, in that regard, BB, if you could plan and stick to something, that would be better than planning and not sticking to it. In this regard, a more realistic plan may be to do 4 hours a day 4 days a week or some more modified version. It may not be necessary or even long term doable to work six days a week, unless you believe that you need that level of work output, for some reason?

I think for a lot of people, if they could be happy working 10-20 hours per week, that would be a good balance or the reality of lives in which we are not independently wealthy and probably need to work, at least a little bit in order to pay for things.

Yeah, I reread the original thread and I'll accept my own share of responsibility in the matter. I can see I was much more of an asshole out of the gate than I needed to be, as I acknowledged earlier.

Thing is, I don't like when someone argues with me on one issue and then interjects side comments that make it clear they have some type of problem with me - when someone does that I see no reason to use gloved hands. I can read between the lines and I'd rather address the real issue head-on.

But still, I should have restrained myself initially and not resorted to the name-calling; my ego must be getting too involved on the forum.

I harbor no resentment towards the guy even if he did leave a bad taste in my mouth. Shit gets carried away online sometimes. I do realize he has real clout here and is a solid player - probably has far more experience and value to add here than I do, as I've never given this game stuff much thought. I've always done okay for myself and tend to hang with very decent girls for longer periods of time and then play around in between, but I'm not claiming to be on the level of a lot of you slayers, as I've said over and over again.

For me it's all just enjoying life, travel, and culture. And yeah women. But certainly not a competition with anyone.

Hopefully mods will reinstate him after a pause and we can just stay out of each other's way if need be. Truedat, if you're checking back in, my apology for acting aggressive earlier in the other thread still stands. No hard feelings and hope to see you back over here.
