Gng to denver in two days for a wedding and gng with a date.....what should i see, what should i avoid, and where can i get a cheap rental car?? For some reason the cars are super expensive.

Haha, it depends....do i need to prearrange bottle service while getting a strategically placed tier one or tier two hotel in close proximity to a tier one club with a tier one dj? Lol

A quick tip I've never been called out on:

Before you arrive, call a car rental agency and tell them you work for a large Fortune 500company, say for example Microsoft, and tell them you're coming in for business and you need your company's corporate rate. You'll cut your car expenses in half. I've never been asked for any sort of proof or paperwork upon arrival. You're dealing with $10/hour employees who could give two shits what you pay for the rental.

Another car rental trick is to rent from a foreign site...like Hertz UK. You can often get lower rates that way.

Priceline everything. I've never had an issue.

Bottle service is bad news if it's only you and your date.

Priceline keeps rejecting my offer, my might just rent it for the 2 days I really need it, and not for the week....

I've been considering a move to Denver for a few weeks now coincidentally, was just out there in the beginning of July to visit some friends from home that moved there and all they do is talk about how great it is compared to the area I'm from.

The one troubling thing I noticed (and others warned me about) was the male to female ratio...I guess it's pretty much a sausage fest there and my experience was that it was predominately male at the bars and other areas where you'd traditionally game, making it seem like a nightmare for a single guy. I'm kind of curious to see if you notice the same thing - although I already know a few girls who live out there, the whole "Menver" stereotype is really weighing heavily on my decision to move there. Any observations you have after your trip would be appreciated, it would be nice to get a RVF second opinion. Other than the ratios, the city really impressed me overall (but everything is better than where I currently live).

Yeah it's no secret I'm not a fan of Denver as far as pick up is concerned. Went there for a short weekend trip in October 2012 with a buddy of mine and came up short. I made the choice to avoid going the social circle route - which I could have easily done by just staying in Boulder with chicks I know at the school there. I just assumed that hitting the streets of Denver would yield better returns, but I was wrong.

I spent my time in LoDo which was seriously lacking in action that weekend. Completely dead.

However, though I didn't visit Cherry Creek, I hear that's a decent area and car-friendly turf according to a friend.

Denver kicks ass in every other category (food, weather, outdoorsy/fitness, and just overall nice people). It's not a bad place to be if you find yourself in an LTR situation.

Should you find that you're not a fan, no need to write a Las Vegas sucks type of sheet. I already did one for CO!

This was my experience as well. I had some great times there - unfortunately gaming girls in bars wasn't any better than my hometown, which is notoriously bad ratio-wise from a local perspective. I have a huge advantage in that i know probably 20 people, most of which are female, that have moved there. Makes it harder to get accurate gaming info however since I'm not running typical approach game when I have that existing social circle.

My hotel is in Lodo...Im going for a wedding and extended my trip so i can look around. Looks like a lot of brewpubs and the captain likes his beer : ) im assuming the women are going to be slighty hippie...

Lodo is where you want to be. Amazing beer, food, and people are in Denver. But it's def a place to move once in you're in a LTR, not if you're single and looking. Lot of single moms and divorced singles if you're into that.

Any attractive and unattractive woman would fare well there - not that we care.

I'm not in Colorado right now as I've been traveling since last January but I can tell you there's nothing wrong with Denver. I went to 2 different state universities and we would always make the trip down the I-25 when we wanted fresh action. There are plenty of single girls in Denver. The challenge is that the girls can be really superficial and the social circle scene can make it harder to get approaches in. The crowd is young so if you're an older guy you might not like it. The best part about Lodo is that everything is so close together. If you don't like one bar/club just walk across the street to the next one. It may not pop off every night (how many places do) but I've had more good nights than bad ones in Denver.
