Interesting insights. If you came up in Anytown, America you'd probably locked down with a ball & chain to a woman that you didn't really love as well. You probably would have a very limited span of gaming days before getting locked down. I'm speaking from a bit of experience here. Feeling a little bit of that myself. I'm from the Midwest Big City Mecca of Chicago, but in a very Anytown, America type of locale out of state about 140 miles northeast of the big city. Missing the scene, the vibe, the freedom & the possibilities. This is a Midwestern area where it seems like everyone in their 20's & 30's are married. Ah well. At least I'll be back in a college town in a couple weeks and not with the ball & chain constantly. Such is life.

To be fair, that probably has a lot to do with your overall style and game, G. Not hating on it, by any means - but just with what I know about how you roll, I'd imagine you to have more success with attracting the more materialistic women.

After I wrote that comment, I was thinking a little about it.

I think my "overall style and game" is a result of being brought up and spending time in the aforementioned environments. It is what you need to be successful so my Game mutated into that over time.

If I grew up and spent my life in Anytown, America I highly doubt I would be busting Custom Suits, huffing grits and flashing Bankrolls. Hell, I would probably wearing mall shirts, mall jeans and using credit cards.

The Vegas Strip, Soho, Sunset Strip, Hollywood, The Del Mar Racetrack, and South Beach were where I learned my "Game chops" (and to a lesser degree places like New Orleans, Beach town Orange County, San Francisco etc). Those places birthed my style. So it is only natural that my "style" also works better in those places.

It is kind of a chicken and egg thing.

Yes, I agree North Americans are very materialistic because they can "attain" these things, call it keeping it up with the Jones.

Are you saying that people in Europe don't aspire to have nice things. I am sorry, I have been to alot of European countries and they all seem to aspire for material things. I also lived in the UK and people there are very brand conscious.

Your first paragraph said exactly what needed to be said. Materialistic means EXCESSIVELY CONCERNED with material wealth.

It does not mean any and all concern with it.

People everywhere aspire to have nice things to some extent. That is not materialistic. Everyone would rather live in a house than a mud hut. Everyone would rather have a jacket that doesn't look foolishly cheap.

Materialistic is when people max out their line of credit to buy a BMW instead of a good old reliable Toyota, or a house that's too big for them rather than a more modest house in the burbs.

It's those who dedicate too much time and effort at acquiring the most expensive things they can get at the expense of sacrificing too much time with their families or overextending themselves or just ignoring all the other important parts of life in favor of having shiny new toys.

Speaking in generalities I consider Scandinavian women some of the least materialistic ones on the globe (from the ca 30+ countries I've visited).

This is not a good thing.

Nordic women, and by extension according to my hypothesis less materialistic ones, do not know a high value man when they see one. Or rather they attach value to something else. And when it's not something tangible that's rooted in assets/money they perceive value in something that can be very fickle and vacuous.

For example, the current male 'thing' in large parts of Swe currently is the Greenpoint/Williamsburg look and living. I shit you not it's an epidemic! When I was in Brooklyn this spring I couldn't walk a block without hearing Swedes tourist gaping about something being so cool and genuine. The man that in other parts of New York is considered a borderline loser is in Scandinavia some modern male ideal. The unkempt bohemian with the acoustic guitar and some meaningful and highly personal tattoos. You're not supposed to have a real job. Ideally you're just making money from some vague hustle or artistic side gig.

This is the reason why I've done a 180° lately in regard to recommending Stockholm instead of Gothenburg (despite that I live in the latter). The capital is far more materialistic than its West Coast equivalent. This is something you know in advance, something you can plan for and utilize.

Non-materialistic women might be good on some feel-good societal level but it undermines the guy that has worked to make good money and is a professional. I'll take a place any day of the week where you know you can put yourself in respect fast with women that value money and its related accessories (cars, suits, watches, pads etc).

On a related note, if you visit Sweden this summer. Tell girls you own a vintage LP store in Brooklyn and you are going to cream panties left and right.

One might wonder if its not a better idea to just get your work done, earn your papers and have a good time in places like South America or Eastern Europe.

Non Materialistic Women are harder to fuck, because they are obviously wealthy them self, well educated and will look for "something more exiting" which probably requires the knowledge of an experienced Pick Up Artist... but Western European girls arent worth those efforts in my book, because they are generally lesser attractive than their "materialistic" counterparts, but it all depends what you are looking for. There are plenty of attractive AND intelligent women as well, and of course not only in South America / Eastern Europe, they are simply not as easy to "get".

Well, what you say makes sense intellectually but doesn't jibe with my intuition. I agree it doesn't fire as deep as pure muscular strength/alpha personality but I feel it's on a tier just above that for women. Just like it's unlikely we evolved biologically to get hard from driving a porsche 911 the social evolutionary effect can be pretty darn close.

As for why, my guess is it does stand in for alpha qualities at a subconscious level--most effective as an enhancer of them. Like a total loser with a bunch of dough is a total loser anyway, but an above-average dude with money I think can be enhanced with a 'quasi-primal' feel into that zone if he uses it the right way

there is no such thing imo

women either want money,higher status or looks. or a combination of all three for the top 8s/9s/10s ,or if the girl is not materealistic you need to be a top experienced PUA with 1000s of approaches wich is not realistic for most guys. some scandinavian girls are the least materealistic imo but its simply too much effort imo

its rare to find good looking women who will like you if you do not posses anything unique on the table. if you are willing to settle for 3s and 4s then its possible


whatever way you put it women want something specific from each man, its hard to find a unselfish woman who will just like you for who you are if you have nothing of the things above to offer. some women also look for a criminal or a dangerous man
the type who usually beats them. those are often not so materealistic but emotionally unstable women
