I like the current selection of shoes here. This board has some great fashion sense however, wouldn't velvet shoes be a no no at the bar? My shoes usually get fucked up when I go out at night. People step on my shoes or liquids on the floor will stain them.

How would you keep expensive shoes clean when you go out? Leather/suede/velvet especially.

I wear these Allen Edmonds boots (In black) with dark blue skinny jeans from Uniqlo, and a well fitting button-down shirt from zara. I also wear a matching black belt. I put metal taps into the front and back of my shoes. Metal lasts longer than rubber, and you also sound like a boss when you're walking in them. The second pair came with a leather sole, so I had a rubber sole placed over it. I like to wear these when I walk around Manhattan, so the rubber will help the shoes last longer.

You will get a lot of wear out of those shoes. I have a similar shoe, although a wingtip, in the same colour.

What are your guys thoughts on Mark McNairy? I love some of his stuff, but I'm not into his more extreme stuff with Zebra prints and such. Some of his colored sole stuff is ok, but I prefer one without colored soles.

These wingtips with tweed that he did with Bodega are my favorites. Love to have a pair.



Went to a store here in BKK yesterday that has McNairys, though not the ones above. If I would have gotten there 2 days earlier they had a 50% off sale on all of them to celebrate the opening of a new store. My girlfriend would have bought me a pair for sure. Missed out.

The quality of McNairys seemed very good to me. They were heavy and had thick suede/leather. Seemed they would last a very long time.

Good advice about the cedar trees. Even if you don't have a set for each pair, having a couple is good as the most critical time to have them in is the first hours after taking them off.

I have more than a few pair of shoes, but these are the ones I wear most often today. Keep in mind I'm a mostly blazer, trousers, jeans, suit guy.
