If you're just chill and cool a guy will be for it. Some guys will not, some will be a little over eager (you can tell they don't have many friends - that's not necessarily a sign against them, just that they need to get out a bit).

Usually it's just being social and getting into a very interesting conversation. I have a couple buddies I play video games with, the rest, I go out and hang with at coffee shops/etc, grab a drink, etc, more commonplace things. Drawing a comparison to an instant date, chillin with a guy that you've got a good vibe with, just be like, "hey, I'm going to grab a drink and some food, you want to join?" I find that's the best way to build a relationship with a guy. You feel a bit more of a bond, and then it's less weird to be like, "hey, what's your number."

Yeah I'll go to dinner with a buddy and what not. Couldn't care less about what other people may think.

People really appreciate it when you take the initiative to interact with them. Everyone wants some social interaction in their lives, but often they have insecurities about just asking someone if they want to hang out. So by taking the bold step, people will think highly of you. Furthermore, you'll stand out if you're the one that gets people to start interacting with one another in a group setting. This is something that really hit home with me during my travels. I'd meet other travelers and just start talking to them and what not, and the reactions were almost always hugely positive. Here were people alone on the road, unsure of what lies in the future and in a foreign land, and just offering your company was the greatest gift I could've given to them. Not "me" specifically, but anyone just trying to be friendly. IN this day and age where everyone is becoming colder, being friendly is being bold, and fortune favors the bold.

Civilize the mind but make savage the body.

Where do you guys meet the deep thinkers at? As I got older, I shy away from playing basketball and sports in general. Im trying to get some buddy's who want to talk game, politics, entrepreneur, etc. Alot like what's on this forum.

Easy- find your local meetup. Or put a shout out.

They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety- Benjamin Franklin, as if you didn't know...

From what I understand, a lot of friendships are made on this forum. Many people are world travelers, they post when they're going to be in a certain city, and other members will comment and meet up with them.

It's a great screening tool. Merely by being here you already know they're fairly intelligent and not completely unaware of what's going on in the world.

I've always wanted to get into MMA. I like that suggestion. Thanks!

Most of my hobbies tend to have either a large feminine following (classical music) or are nerdy solo hobbies (car, computer). Just have to branch out and try new things.

Which part of UK are you ? I do MMA, we could share knowledge if you like.

Yeah I live in a smaller city and am honestly scared to get a meetup posted on here. I am trying to go to a meetup for a city not too far from but its via PMs.
