Been busy away this weekend, hence I couldn't reply to this earlier, but anyways, good post Passport Hustler . I'll make a couple of quick comments:
I agree the Warrior forum can be a waste of time if one falls in the trap of spending way too much time there as I used to for a while. But it also has some true gems there. Yes, it's filled with either newbies or people trying to sell you their stuff, but there are some true gems to be found there.
Agreed again with you that buying a good course to educate yourself on the topic of internet marketing, but also on copy writing, negotiation, sales etc...from a specialist in the field is a given. Even better if you can find a successful one to mentor you. Of course, you'd have to give them value in return, whether you pay for their time and expertise or you help them with their tasks for free.
When I mentioned hiring someone to write you cheap articles, I was referring to do this for the free ebook to give out to people on your site to sign up as an idea. Of course, in the niche we're in, people are well versed and would want nothing short of pure first hand experience, not some crap rehearsed 20 billion times online. This was just a suggestion, but you're right that on this topic, it's better and more worthy for him to spend the time and write the ebook, even the free one. At least, it'll be UNIQUE content which is huge. I mean who wants to read the same crap that's all over the net? People want unique and interesting things to read. And of course, when you do post updates on your site or go about writing your own ebook. That goes without saying.
Btw, nice blog you have there with solid content, I'll bookmark it to read it on an ongoing basis. Btw, since you're in BKK, would you say it's easy to network and meet with other successful bloggers in our field there or not? I'd love to meet the likes of Sean Ogle, Cody, Matt (Nomadic Matt), yourself and other like minded there. Do you guys have a monthly or weekly meetings type of thing? I'd love to join you guys when I get to BKK in a bout a month! Let me know man.

the Warrior Forums are a huge forum, the biggest and best in the Internet Marketing field IMO. I am a big fan of their War Room which is a paid members' section where the experts share for free their best stuff that they don't in the free section. I think it costs about 35 or some odd dollars to get access to the War Room but this is a one time lifetime fee. As far as I can tell, this has been the best 35 bucks I've ever spent online. Period.
Another area of interest IMO is their WSO area (Warriors' Special Offers) which is basically a market place to buy and sell products/services. However, be careful as this part can become very addictive to buying everything in sale. It can be come a negative addiction to buying everything in sight in that section, so careful about that as the majority are just pure crap as they are cheap ebooks that are sold for under 20 bucks.

I posted the above very useful post as a way to show what kind of good informative and content filled posts can be found there from time to time.
There are quite a lot of very informative threads like this in each of the sections, just spend some time searching them, going through them and all. One can learn a lot there despite the forum being predominantly filled with either newbies or sharks trying to sell you their crap, there are still some very not only knowledgeable but also helpful people. I realize some of them are helpful to softly promote their products/services/memberships etc but they are some cool cats and catettes there.
There are a lot of different ways to make money online, either going the Adsense route and building niche after niche site. Lots of initial work but after a while, some sites will start to reap nice daily profits. Or you can go the CPA route, some people make 4, 5 and up to 6 figure DAILY doing CPA's but they require techincal knowledge and a lot of capital to scale to that kind of level, but can be done. There's one guy here in Toronto, Gauer Chaudry, probably the biggest dog in the CPA game and he makes 6 figures profits DAILY, but he's a genius and got there after years of sticking to it, mastering the game to perfection. There's a huge CPA section on the WF if that's of interest to you.
I tried the CPA game for a while, and due to the big amount of work involved to it, compared to what I'm doing, I stopped doing it and have been focusing mainly on high ticket affiliates that pay at least 1K a pop per sale ( my current and main and most profitable biz to date).
Or you can go the affiliate route, but I'd personally suggest against promoting items that pay peanuts (ie in the 10-100 bucks per sale). Much more profitable to focus on the high end products/services that pay 500, 1K+ per sale. I personally have had the most success with the ones paying 1K per sale and that's where I'm focusing on right now, specially on my GRN biz. I've had 3 streams of income (CPAs, a smaller travel affiliate and GRN) and for the past month or so, I've dropped or at least for now and the forseeable future, put on hold for now everything else to focus primarily on my GRN biz which will reach 6 figures in the next 6 months.

I say, spend the cash on a quality course written by a reputable online businessman - ie the guys I mentioned above. You've got to spend money on business education. And, simple human psychology says you'll value the information more if you pay for it and you'll be more likely to act on it.
I speak from experience when I say, I've wasted way too much time f*cking with free info and I've been screwed over from taking that route.
All the guys who make real money with their online ventures read / buy as many marketing and business courses as they can. The most educated people win.
Tim Ferriss created a new generation of guys (myself included) who believed that entrepreneurship was easy and that you could be a complete moron and still succeed. Maybe it happens for some, but not for most.
2. Write your own ebook or report. The quality of articles you'll get for $1-5 will absolutely shock you (it'll be awful), and those people will just google search everything and spout off info we've already heard before. Write from experience. Pay someone if you don't care about providing REAL value for your subscribers.
The niche you'll be getting into (one filled with guys like us) want originality and credibility and aren't necessarily looking for a quick fix like the fat loss niche. We use the internet differently than other niches, so be prepared for that.
3. This is no way meant to discourage. I'm seriously one of the most optimistic people I know.
