I'm torn on the credit card at the bar thing. I do it because its convenient and seems to be the norm these day. It's a pimp move to say "Yeah open a tab please". Paying with cash when you're out drinking or fucking around actually solves a lot of problems:
1. You don't have to worry about leaving a card behind or losing it if you drink too much. When this happens it's a nightmare.
2. A lot of bartenders will fuck up and overcharge your card or double charge it and you have to call the bank and tell them.
3. If a card gets run several times in one night the bank may think it's fraud and turn the card off on you. If you're hopping to different venues this definitely becomes an issue.
4. The staff actually sees you tipping in cash as you go and they tend to appreciate that more than when they just get a bunch of receipts at the end of the night.

I never pay with cards when I go out drinking anymore.

Furthermore, how about this:

Situation #1

You are in a packed bar; bartenders are overwhelmed.

You got a fly girl good to go.

But...your card is with the bartender. There is no way to get her attention.

Drunk guys are hitting are now hitting on your girl, spooling up the vibe. Her friends come...and spool thing up more.

You can't seem do get the bartenders attention because you and every other dork in the bar paid with a card...

You are losing the girl...

Situation #2

You're right G. Most clubs have multiple bars anyway. If they have your card you're tied to that spot. If I bring a girl to the bar that's fine. I expect to be in the same spot for a while.

It's easier to hit the ground running without stopping at the exchange booth. Tourists do that".

3. Don't run blackout game with a big wad of cash. Jus' sayin'. And no, I've never lost a horse choker roll.

4. Rolling with a bankroll makes you feel like a pimp. Dress the part and bring the attitude. It's an investment.

The biggest douche move is to sit and try restacking your roll. Too try hard. The whole movement has to be fluid. If you starting getting a clusterfuck of $20's, unfuck it when you go for a piss. Smart bartenders like breaking up $20's in singles for hopes of a bigger tip. Sneaky bishes. It don't take long to get too many smaller denominations.

I always have a stack of bills for variety of reasons and it is a pain in the arse, on a night out its a ball ache and like most things if I take 1k out with me I will tend to spend almost all of it. I don't think this helps game at all but then I have always done it so don't have a comparison.

Yeah, I meant to mention that when you get the bill you should already know what you're going to tip and tell them that the rest is theirs or some other indication that they don't need to bring you back change with coins in it. They'd rather not have to do that and they'd even moreso not want to have to bring coins BACK in the bill holder.

I do agree with using cash to pay at a bar, for all of the reasons stated already- I have seen busy bars charge the wrong person's card or lose someone's card. Going to bars is the one time when it is much better to pay with cash.
