Why do women have such boring conversations?
This is a serious question. Not just some kind of moan or rant.

I would be interested to know if others have ever come across a couple of women having a deep intellectual conversation? I have literally never come across this. But then again - I haven't spent nearly as much time around women as others. Which is why I am genuinely curious.

So for those with more experience. Do women ever kick back and have intellectual conversations with their female friends? Have you actually witnessed this?

Or is it more the case that women have intellectual conversations - but only when chatting to a guy? I find this to be the case, with me - but then I try and steer most conversations in this direction since I am an aspie nerd.

Not in my experience with female friends. With males, they usually start but once the male (me) starts to delve into the gritty details and start to ask the hard questions, the follow-up responses usually start with "I don't know, I feel like...." and once I hear "I FEEL LIKE", I know the intellectual merit of the conversation has just went out the window, and I feign interest in an amused manner kind of like how a parent feigns interest when the child is trying to explain all the things his/her new toy can do.

Civilize the mind but make savage the body.

Laugh2

Quite a few women sit near me at work.

You'd think at least occasionally I'd overhear a conversation between two women that involved work-related matters.

Nope, it's always about pedicures/manicures, baby showers, weddings, clothes, shoes, and boyfriends/husbands.

In fact, in the middle of the work day, many of them can often be seen brazenly online shopping for shoes, dresses, and accessories.

I suppose they have their male colleagues to do the real work.

This is for more technical chicks, too--the vapidity of the client-side girls goes without saying.

Real life fails the Bechdel Test.

In almost all cases, girls/women really are just vapid slampieces.

For the sake of your dick and sanity, I would not recommend that.

@nek - I agree with that. As soon as you start digging - women resort to shoulder shrugs and feeeeeelings.

But at least an attempt at an intellectual conversation was made.

What I find sad - is that whenever I overhear two women talking it is always about the most boring shit possible. It is almost like a parlour game or something.

RE: Why do women have such boring conversations?
Because men have other interests and hobbies in life besides pussy( believe it or not). But a woman's only hobby is relationships and all the shallow mundane nonsense that goes along with it.

I'm not complaining. The women I meet with hobbies tend to be not as feminine. Choose your poison.

Some women are better at playing along and keeping a certain level of engagement when the conversation turns to more serious matters, but they really can't contribute or add anything useful when the ideas become abstract. Our brains are just wired differently.

I've come to find that most women who do have interesting conversations, usually aren't very desirable. Maybe because good looking women don't need to rely on it for attention and ugly girls have to try harder?

RE: Why do women have such boring conversations?
Most guys don't believe me when I tell them I've never had an interesting conversation with a woman. I've had fun conversations, I've had sexual conversations, I've had exciting conversations, but in terms of being interesting in a way that intellectually stimulates me... nope, not once.

I've dated and banged my way through many Ivy League educated girls too: Princeton, NYU, Harvard, MIT, Columbia (is this Ivy? whatever) - none of these girls knew a damn thing. At best they could recite perfectly the shit their professors told them but nothing on their own that was original or thought provoking.

I also majored in Philosophy during my undergrad, and I met many of the philosophy girls - most of them totally retarded - and I even went to a Dartmouth philosophy conference. The only girls who presented there wrote about feminist topics, and everything they said they said well, but ultimately had little value, substance, or intellectual rigor.

So, believe me, I have tried, I have tried so fucking hard to find that one special intelligent snowflake to complete me and dance the intellectual dance as we discuss Kant, Socrates, the possibilities of a perfect government, or the ideal lives men and women should have in between rigorous sex sessions... but I have failed and found nothing.

Part of the problem is being far more intelligent than average, but the other problem is that women just aren't capable of original thinking. Even my friends with lower IQ's but are male usually spit interesting comments and insights on the regular that beat even the smartest of females I've known.

Interesting woman is an oxymoron.

Because they haven't had to. A lot of motivation for guys to learn the art of conversation, humor, creativity, etc, is because we need an edge in the game. We can achieve that edge by increasing our skill in some area that will help out our game. The better of us (such as here on this forum) realize that honing our skills on bettering ourselves will pay off more in the long run, including in the mating game.

What do girls have to do to increase their value? Very little, mostly relating to fitness and cosmetics. They never HAD to develop good conversation skills to succeed in the mating game. We will have sex with them either way.

You can see this in many guys who are very very good looking (think tall, male model types). Some have developed personalities, but many have not, due to lack of need. Their edge was completely genetic. I'd probably be a complete asshole if I was 6'3, chiseled, and cut, along with a deep voice. But I'm not, so I had to learn to be quick witted and expand my conversation skills.

The potential is always there, but the need isn't. If we were the choosers and girls had to run game, they would probably be interesting and funny. This phenomenon is why there are so few female comedians that are actually funny.

I'm pretty damn sure that in some of my undergrad philosophy classes the participation was 100% male. There was literally not a single girl who had anything to contribute for an entire semester in a couple of those classes.

RE: Why do women have such boring conversations?
I did have some random middle-aged chick who randomly started talking to me in the waiting room of a dentist office about the origins of Communism/socialism because she saw me pick up an issue of Time magazine that had the sickle and hammer symbol. She was most likely trying to show off but she did sound pretty knowledgeable and it's pretty rare that I hear girls discuss any sort of serious ideas so it was actually enjoyable for me.

Women in general just don't care for talking about ideals or anything abstract. They prefer to stick mostly to discussions about people and events. I know the counter to this is going to be "well most guys don't talk about anything about sports and boobs" and I'd agree with that. Still, there is definitely a greater portion of men who transcend that while there is a lesser amount of women who are able to rise above. And even with less intelligent guys who mostly talk about sports, they still occasionally get into more serious topics even if they aren't too informed. At least they are making the effort - most women will just go blank and have not anything to contribute; even more educated women.

That's pretty much my opinion as well. All girls really need to do is to succeed socially is:

1. Dress up nicely
2. Show up
3. Don't say or do anything retarded - just follow social conventions and be pleasant

My sister is quite the social butterfly and I can honestly tell you guys that in all the time I've know nher (her entire life) I haven't heard her once say anything insightful or remotely interesting. However, she makes friends easily because she knows how to be socially pleasant and to keep the small talk going. Back in the day etiquette books were all the rage for women because there really isn't much to being a socially acceptable and well-liked female besides just taking care of yourself physically and keeping in mind the rules of socializing.

Intellectualism is not highly valued on this continent, for both men and women. I have had intellectual conversations with women but they tend to be highly educated, mobile and internationally-traveled women, usually European, African and Indian.

Same with men. Very rare to have a conversation about Socrates with a Canadian or American man, although it happens more frequently than with the women.

They'll think you're a fag.

You referencing small talk reminded me of the Russians I know who uniformly HATE the very idea of chit chat small talk. In the blunt way they have they'll say "why are you talking such bullshit?".

Martha Nussbaum, Patricia Churchland, and Judith Jarvis Thomson are women philosophers who have come up with some very original ideas and arguments. In my personal life, though, it's true that I rarely if ever encounter a woman who can have an abstract, intellectually stimulating conversation, even though I'm surrounded by chicks at the very far end of the Bell curve who often outclass me academically. It's really an eye-opening experience when you observe a group of girls with 150+ IQs at a high-ranking medical school and all they want to talk about is the same celebrity gossip shit as their average-intelligence counterparts. Women think much more concretely than men, and although I'm sure there are exceptions, I haven't run into many despite knowing a lot of smart, academically gifted girls.

RE: Why do women have such boring conversations?
This used to frustrate me as well, but once I became fully red pill I realized that expecting intellectual stimulation from a woman was like expecting my dog to do laundry: it's just not what they're supposed to do.

If you're trying to have an intelligent conversation with a woman, you're doing it wrong. Women are supposed to be your break from those topics, which you discuss with your male friends and colleagues. Conversation with a woman should always be light, fun, entertaining, never serious.

As Samseau pointed out, even if you do have a serious conversation with an intelligent woman, she is inevitably just going to parrot something she learned in school or heard on television. You will gain no insight into her thought process or exposure to an original idea. Women always move with the herd when it comes to their opinions, especially the ones who swear they don't (hipsters, punk rock chicks, etc... always the most conformist of all with their particular sub-cultures Laugh).

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” - Romans 8:18

Yeah, greater male cognitive variance, which results in there being more smart men at any arbitrary IQ cut-point on the right-tail, is in itself insufficient to explain female vapidity on the right hand side of the bell curve.

RE: Why do women have such boring conversations?
The optimistic viewpoint is that this is a feature not a bug. They have to be more like kids, so they can take care of kids without going insane.

Men are obsessed with creating what isn't here yet: focused on abstractions, reaching beyond the here-and-now, and excessive idealism leading to varying degrees of brutality ( Naziism, Communism, "revealed" religion ( when you have that special knowledge you have to shove down everyone else's throat) ) as well as all the most important inventions that keep us from living in the cold, diseased muck like we did a thousand years ago.

Women distract us from the labors that last beyond us. Schopenhauer's essay is a good, non-bitter explanation of why contact with the female psyche is helpful to men. Also, uh, we can't exist without women. We don't have a uterus.

http://www.heretical.com/miscella/onwomen.html

Here's a great one by Byron appreciating what women do for most of us.

“The very first
Of human life must spring from woman’s breast,
Your first small words are taught you from her lips,
Your first tears quench’d by her, and your last sighs
Too often breathed out in a woman’s hearing,
When men have shrunk from the ignoble care
Of watching the last hour of him who led them.”

All through history, who has done the largest share of taking care of the penniless, the diseased, the smelly dying with no hope, the helpless infants? Who have mostly been the nurses at both ends of life?

My father spent the last four years of his life paralyzed in a veteran's hospital in a small town. When I went to his funeral, several of the female nurses who had taken care of him, washed his paralyzed old body daily, fed him through a tube, kept him comfortable in a abjectly barren place in life-- came to his funeral. There was no extra pay, I'm sure he didn't ask them to. You could see how sad they were. They knew nothing of his youthful charm and energy, all they had ever met was a crippled shell of a man. But they still cared. There are some male nurses, but when it comes to abject misery. most of the simple tedious care is done by women.

Yeah, men are a little smarter at the high end of the curve, and do all the great inventions. But all of us smart-ass-120-140 IQ guys, probably don't relieve as much suffering in our whole lives as one 105 IQ nurse.
Not even close.

So don't be ungrateful.

RE: Why do women have such boring conversations?

i have long ago given up on trying to have an intellectual conversation with women. in fact, i dont want to.

it doesnt matter how exceptional a student they are/were....it is hopeless.

women are a distraction, nothing more or less. still, i like lisa randall though.
