Latvia I don't think is FSU, it's considered x Warsaw pact. There is a big difference. The Russians there are treated like second class citizens.
Ofcourse they have their version of looks but it is a bit different G. But being average doesn't hurt a guy there, just don't be Sloth I guess or the golem from the Hobbit lol.
Interestingly even 10's in NYC date down. And my friend who is very good looker and has Internet fans actually always dates down. The women = to him aren't available.
I think the biggest status there is not just money but showing off what you buy. I guy can be poorer but if he drives a bently ,he will attract better than the guy in the BMW. They spend all the money they make buying shit that others can see and pretend to be wealthier than they are. Sounds like south Florida culture a bit?

Looks is very subjective topic. Look at all the 2/10 would not bang stuff on the forum.

I would say from my experience, in Ukraine, looks isn't as important as in the US. It isn't a matter of ugly versus good looking so much as other qualities being more prominent.

Yes worldwide and ugly Americans can't compete with the image ^^^odessan girls see in the mirror. They look at themselves anymore and one might think they want to fuck themselves. ^^^It take me a little while to get used to the scene, but there is a certain "vibe" you need to project to get laid in every city/venue. As you travel more, you adapt faster.

SF has a more laidback vibe, Hollywood has that aggresive, fast-pace quick punches vibe. Being a social chameleon is very important. I've swooped from the ghetto clubs, high-ends, grimy dance clubs, neighborhood bars.

I will admit that I do have a leg up- funds, height (6ft 2"), decent looks, style, some intelligence, and traveling experience starting from a very early age (unaccompanied minor every year).

To think I can't swoop in an large English-speaking city is pretty laughable. I've hit the pavement long enough that the only important limiting factor is time. I think its harder and longer to find a good apartment, than it is to find a chick to swoop.

My experience in Moscow is that the most upscale, educated and intelligent (mega hot goes without saying) women in Moscow want a man who can protect and provide for them and any future kids. If you look like a burly bear (mea culpa) and other packs of wolves, lions and tigers tend to fear you and give you a wide berth this can work to your advantage. There are a lot of this type in Russia as well.

I found that US Standard Corp Exec suited up look during the days and at dinner and or Black cashmere sport coat or leather jacket with open collar shirt black slacks and shoes (NO Dockers ever) after dinner at bars clubs both worked well - the oligarchs I was with were young and loved karaoke as well and only drank juice, coffee or tea - they liked Nescafe instant as well. The one request a Russian multimillionare asked me to bring over was Dunkin Donuts coffee normal roast both ground and beans - local New England DD's give a deal 3 one pound bags for $19 - so I brought 3 one pound bags and a bag of Paul Newman's organic that I like a lot at McCafes. Was a bigger hit than starbucks.

Russians tend to adopt a lot of American habits (drinking coffee) though they will not admit it (The Oligarch Mikhail Prokorov bought the Brooklyn Nets and owns the Metro NYC Russian Expat SNOB magazine) and quite a few other Oligarchs have set up a not so discreet Plan B in NYC and or Miami so they secretly admire the USA - the young Oligarchs all wanted to see Hollywood of course VIP style and most in Moscow can at least understand English if not speak it as a major international language of biz.

The Oligarchs I met make most of their massive wealth in the FSU and outside of Hollywood had no other real interest in doing any business in the USA - just a safe place to hide a few rubles from Mr. Putin Chairman of Russia Inc. who has indicated he wants to start repatriating Russian Wealth for the benefit of Russia as the oligarchs all break out into a cold sweat - as an aside met a senior NYC banking Exec in Boston recently who shared that he had moved much of the Russian offshore Cyprus wealth out to Abu Dahbi under very favorable terms so Abu Dahbi may become the new upscale Dubai for the wealthy Moscow elites.

First I was trying to meet up with the blonde I banged from the club, but she couldn't get off work this time. Turned out better for me, since I had to work late. So I texted the girl from last night and said if she wants to come by, this time we can have a drink at my place "and then go out." She said maybe, but then showed up at 11:00 p.m. I've never seen a girl pound wine so fast.

She drank about half a bottle then basically just jumped me. She is divorced and I found out has a kid and lives with her kid and her mom in an apartment. My guess is she never gets out or gets to let loose. She was so damn happy, I felt like I was providing some sort of charity work. This looks debate is really pointless.

Most women will want a man from their own culture. Even if they are uglier. They just understand them better.

Start adding on other things like humor, money, power and the attraction will change.

Arguing an all things equal is... well, a pie in the sky argument.

When are all things equal when it comes to people? Two guys with the same personality, making the same money, same fashion sense... yeah, not going to happen and shouldn't even be entertained, in my opinion.

That is the good thing, you can overcome nature to an extent by making yourself attractive in other ways. I certainly wouldn't be asking women what they thought. All that leads to is misinformation.

I would say I am a little above average. I wouldn't say I am handsome but more towards the "cute" spectrum. I do become handsome after some time but that is my personality and humor taking over. My looks certainly didn't change.

This thread is just pure gold. FYI, while Slubu was banging away I was out with his buddy for my last night here before they go back home via Vegas on Thursday (I am headed to Greece today). So thought I'd do a little side report on our night out. Sorry for the hijack but here I go!

We left early to give 1920s Bar one more try and to make sure we didn't get rejected, and finally we got in. Started off pretty good, very crowded, younger scene, place is fairly small and has a bar atmosphere to it, very loud though. It's also incredibly cheap - I'm talking Ruble 100-150 type drinks. Even Slubu's buddy was commenting on it, saying it's the cheapest place he's been in Russia including Tomsk. So go figure.

As the night went I'd say it was not bad for a Tuesday night, but unfortunately it didn't pick up later on past midnight. There were several 7+ type girls there early, and as we were all sitting at tables or at the bar it was mostly conducive to 'bumming a smoke' game. Lot of girls dancing actually. A very hot 'top tier' blonde was sitting at the table behind us, but unfortunately when we were finally done with our dinners and about ready to go over and approach, she and her friend decided to leave. In retrospect we waited a bit too long (obv.). A bit later on, a couple others sat down across from us at another table, and Slubu's buddy pointed out they were doing shots (he did a couple B-52s FYI ) but for some reason they left after about an hour - another missed opportunity. Then I went over to bum a smoke from this pretty sexy petite 7 who I'd seen dancing and seemed to be alone, had a little chat but she didn't seem interested, I asked what she was doing and she pointed me to her wedding ring so that was that But in any case, Slubu's buddy and I had were having a great time chatting and talking about game and life while having dinner. The food was ok too, actually not bad.

Anyway, so as not to bore you guys, the best part of the night was at the end when this pretty great looking Tier-1 type girl and her friend sat next to us. I took a good look at her and I just notice she looks very familiar for some reason, then I figure it out - she is literally a spitting image of Ferris Buehler's girlfriend in "Ferris Buehler's Day Off", no joke (Slubu's buddy agreed too), looked exactly like this:



So eventually I go over and bum a smoke, she's really open to chatting but speaks little English, so I'm working her with my intermediate Russian, then Slubu's buddy comes over and shows her the picture of Ferris' GF and she loves it, wants to know more, etc. She's giving off a really fun, friendly vibe. Eventually her friend's boyfriend comes over with a friend (who's for her we assume). She doesn't seem into this guy, is just having fun, and she bounces outside for a smoke break. At this point I'm a little drunk and don't realize the opening I've got, but like the good wingman he is Slubu's buddy says "man, this is your chance! You gotta get out there NOW, go isolate! You won't get another shot." So I'm like 'yeah, you're right, how can I miss this" and bolt outside. I go up to her, bum another smoke (which is like my 4th of the night already, I really don't smoke) and have a nice chat with her for say 20 minutes. She's just sexy as hell, 21 and studying in Moscow, just got back into town for school apparently. Unf. she eventually has to go back inside and hang with her friends, but I number close and give her a couple kisses on the cheek, tell her I'm going to Greece and will try to hook up with her next week. She even asks me to send her some shots from the beach, feels like a good lead we'll see.

Anyway, great night even though not much really happened, once again I get some very timely and sage advice from Slubu's buddy.

Gotta say it's been really great having you guys around, had a lot of fun, still can't believe how much you guys go out and the nightly chaos that ensues I learned a lot from you and your buddy, am going to be really interested in reading the final report and comparison to Kiev and the provinces. I'm sure it's going to take you awhile to decompress and put all these thoughts together since it's been such an incredible trip/experience. I will report back in from Greece on the other threads but safe travels - can't belive you guys are finally going home!
