The fellas over at The Elevator Life just launched their own private Dynamite-Circle-type China business community.

I just sent in my own application. Check it out guys!

If you're unfamiliar with these guys, check out their site.

They are basically a bunch of twenty-something and early-thirty-something guys who are living in China (mostly Guangdong) and killing it in a range of different businesses.

Very inspirational.

I can totally vouch for these guys (the Elevator Life guys, Tim and Nick) as they are the real deal. Just by looking at the incredible amount of golden nuggets they have been constantly dropping on their site for free I can't imagine the value inside this and can't wait to get inside this private membership area.

Anyone looking for the best place to get in touch, watch, learn from and network and connect with guys who not only are experts but are killing it in China and yet are cool as hell, look no further, they are the real deal. They work very hard and party even harder as I've seen them in action in both their work and their partying which is truly epic to say the least! If you're looking to make moves in China, you'd be crazy not to be inside this community!

It sounds like you've never been part of a paid membership community before. In my personal experience, the connections, partnerships, concentrated amount of information and advice, and ability to have serious conversations without all the trolls and idiots is worth the cash.

97 dollars every three months averages to $388 USD per year.

I am confident that in that same period of time I am going to make money from a deal that is worth at least $10,000 USD as a result of being part of that community. Investing in this community was a no brainer for me.

My contacts in the Pearl River Delta region are particularly weak compared to those in Shanghai, Beijing, and other parts of Asia. Basically just a bunch of salaryman engineers and investment bankers who are useless to me in the context of business.

In order to build up contacts there I'd have to go physically spend time in Guangzhou/Shenzhen and also spend the money in order to go there and build these connections. The financial cost of flying there alone and paying for a hotel would be least the cost as the $388 USD of a one year annual subscription. As I am exploring more export opportunities out of China I want to be able to leverage networks that I haven't built myself. Sometimes you have to pay cash to save time.

Instead I can drop in and immediately have a social and business network that I've been discussing opportunities with in a quiet and professional environment.

If I need to source tablets/phones/bibles/cosmetics to export to Colombia and Africa then instead of sifting through crap tons of Alibaba sources for marked up prices I can ask these guys if they can get me a good source on the ground and then compare those costs to the Alibaba ones. There is a level of accountability. Again, this is a time versus cash issue.

I personally designed, built, hosted, and am managing the websites and the mobile apps for the alumni associations for my university in East Africa, Singapore, London, and Beijing.

The reason I am spending my time, hard earned cash, and energy on doing this is because as someone who is adding value and making an investment I am building social capital and favors that will someday be returned to me when I need to call a favor upon them.

I don't know specifically what that'll be yet but I know that when it happens I am going to get what I want.

In this case they didn't ask me - I volunteered to be the one to do it and they approved after considering it. As a result, they tacitly understand that they owe me a debt of gratitude and will have to repay me in some intangible way in the future.

Having said all of that, if by a year's time the forum is not being managed well and they aren't doing a good job of weeding out all of the idiots and trolls then I'll leave.

The price you are paying is for Tim and Nick to do the work of weeding out people who aren't serious and who do not add value of some sort.

You do not get this on a public forum.

I am doing the same exact thing over at MJ Demarco's Fastlane Forum.

On these forums you are paying a recurring cost and you might not get good value out of it for a while.

Then you'll find some incredible partner or great opportunity and BAM it's worth multiples of the accumulated costs.

All private paid forums I am involved with are exactly like this.

This is the first one I've seen that is targeted to this exact niche demographic for China oriented people. I've been waiting for something like this to come out and I'm more than willing to invest and hope that it becomes fruitful for me.

Yeah your point is interesting regarding the application. It wasn't too hard to do, only took about 30 seconds to fill out - but it is still a hoop, as you mentioned.

Dynamite Circle was invite only - I'm not entirely sure what the deal is now. But generally it's full of incredible information for digital nomad types. I keep getting my mind blown with new innovative life hacks and digital nomad hacks every time I'm on there.

I didn't take any offense to it. No, I see value in paying for stuff like that.

I always try and look at the sales process. I was just wondering if the application process helped conversions. I know there will be a psychological component to being "accepted".

Just adding to the excellent answer by YMG, as far as I'm concerned, sure the high level content that one would not only find in a public forum is awesome, but what makes those kinds of private paid membership sites is first and foremost, the networking. As YMG wrote, you get to interact on a daily basis with experts and people on the ground about a specific niche, one in which you may or may have limited knowledge or no contacts. By being part of a niche paid membership like that, you achieve that. And that to me, is priceless as well as for those who are part of these private and paid memberships.

These private forums are not about high numbers or quantity, but rather, about a limited core of high calibre people who are experts in their field and who each bring their own expertise, network of contacts and experience. Take for example the DC forum, a couple of weeks ago, I was chatting with Dan Andrews, the owner and asked him that he should consider promoting the DC in the RVF since it could be a gold mine as there are quite a few guys who are doing very interesting things and also as I have referred quite a few people from here to the DC. You know what his answer was? He said no, he doesn't to go all out and increase the number of members as that would dilute the overall quality of the DC. As a matter of fact, he said that he doesn't even promote the DC in the standard way of advertising and promoting a site. All advertisings are done through word of mouth, where current members refer people that they know are legit and doing great things. Thats' how he's been able to keep a very high level of people inside the DC, arguably the best group of entrepreneurs I've seen and met anywhere. I'm not talking about a guy doing small scale article marketing or doing small scale SEO articles. I'm talking about 6 and 7 figure types of business.

And the daily interactions through reading, exchanging private messages or chatting directly in DC's chat or through skype, FB and other means is what facilitates these killer networking and contacts all over the globe. When/If I need a trustworthy person to contact for feedback/guidance on say setting up shop in Vietnam, or Brazil or Colombia, or anywhere in Europe, I know where to go: inside the DC, I'll find the right person. Even if I don't know them directly, all I'd need is simply ask the guys inside there and I'll be directed to the go to go guy. Need a trustworthy lawyer in HKG/China? Or a good accountant in HKG/China/or anywhere in the world for that matter? You'll find him, either directly or through referral inside the DC. Need a tax specialist? Idem. Have questions about setting up shop in HKG/SG or the Phils? It's outlined in baby steps over there. Want to take a peek of 6 and 7 figure businesses? check the case studies section where you'll follow a particular biz from A to Z.

Not only that but these guys inside the DC, have frequent meet ups, all around the world as it's a global nomad community. Just last month, in Toronto, I met a few of them in person, and most importantly, got to meet for example, the king of outsourcing to the Philippines, Chris Ducker. Just meeting him face to face and and being on a first name basis with a guy as influential as him, that's worth 10 times what I've been paying for over 2 years inside the DC if not outright priceless! Not to mention the phenomenal quality of content there. I have never seen anywhere as high level content as there. There is so much value in these types of private forums that it's simply beyond words. One could write an entire book on the merits of them.

WWT, you mention about submitting an application to be accepted to the community. While I do agree that it is an interesting business tactic, it is far from being a gimmicky thing. Even in professional spheres (lawyers, accountants, Drs, etc...), they have their own communities or societies or whatever they are called. To be part of these organisations, the professional has to not only pay to be a member, but also submit an application to get into that organisation. It's no different in here. You're applying to get into the highest level of organisation inside a very specific niche.

In case of the DC, it's to be among the smartest, and most successful entrepreneurs who are jet setting around the world while running their businesses. In the case of the Enter China, it's about everything China and business in China related from experts who are on the ground and crushing it. For anyone who has any interest in China and doing business there, you simply cannot afford not being there. As simple as that.

All of this for 97 bucks every 3 months, that's just a buck a day. You can't even get a pack of gums for that anymore nowadays and yet, that gets you into the circle of guys killing it in their respective fields. And that to me, I'll gladly submit an application and pay to be part of these private forums.

No I'm not a member of the PPC forum. Have no idea about it. I'd suggest you talk to people who are currently in it to get their unbiased feedback on it.
