Isn't the motivation not obvious? Turkey is a Muslim country (they massacred millions of Christians in the Armenian genocide in 1915 and there are now very few Christians left) and the victim was a non Muslim tourist who had apparently kissed a local girl. The reaction of at least two local males was to abduct, torture and attempt to murder him for this.

Turkey is a known destination for Western, female sex tourists and it isn't hard to get the local men started about how they fuck the European sex tourists and assorted whores who go there "for the culture" and "the beaches." If anyone is looking for an example of the brutal hypocrisy and violent double standards of Muslim men when it comes to sex, look no further.

Europe is full of Turks and other Muslim men who chase after non Muslim European women for casual sex and no one says a word about it (it is a thought crime against the liberal overlords to point out the double standards of this). If a Turk had been attacked in this way by two local guys in Europe for chasing a non Muslim girl, the liberal media would have a field day. However, this story on the other hand, has not been heavily carried by Westen press outlets and it will quickly be forgotten as it is beyond the comfort zone of Western liberals.

I understand any guys from every culture don't like to see local girls hanging out with a foreign man.
This is the hardest part for me right now when I go out solo.

Muslim mens are funny though. They want to get down with any type of white girls. (especially trash ones)
when they see some middle eastern girl with any other race, they really get mad. ROFL

As others have said it's a pretty universal phenomena. The smaller the community the more dangerous it is to hit on the local women. In tourist destinations single female travelers are probably easier than the local girls anyway so why not just go for them?

Some guys said, it's my insecurity. It has nothing to do with it.

I guess I can't really complain as a colored man who were not born here.

That's like saying "they have plenty of McDonalds around the world so why eat the local food that MIGHT be hard to digest?". No offense, but if you go to a different country, you want to absorb as much of the local culture as possible, including the women. Also, I really think that one of the ways to breaking the hardcore conservatism in Islam might be to show Muslim girls a good time. I mean seriously, all you have to get around is the fear and she'll jump for you. Muslim men don't exactly have a great track record with treating women like human beings so you should be fine when competition is concerned.

I think the best way is to be friends with local guys. It's not easy though. they will still not like that unless you build a deep trust.
he might not care if you go for a girl he doesn't like anyways.
But what if he likes this girl and she likes you instead of him?

I'm generally not afraid of the women, I'm wary of the other men. I'm all for taking in the local flavor. Go post out in a foreign country for a bit and get a feel for the lay of the land. Make friends with a few locals, if you're cool they'll probably even introduce you to the single girls or warn you off from the local mob bosses slutty fiance. It's about showing proper respect to the locals. It matters more in small towns than in big cities.

Resorts are even trickier than small towns because guys get lulled into a false sense of security. People specifically go to resorts so that they can enjoy everything about a place except it's people. It's very difficult to get a feel for the local social scene at resorts - they do everything in their power to hide the ugly side of a town.

I lived in the Middle East for the last 2 years so I can tell you that YES it is possible to date these women in their country etc. however, this fella disrespected the culture in their eyes by displaying PDA. Were their actions extreme yes and I'm glad that they will be punished. Now, hate crimes and jealousy do exist everywhere. When it happens to a white person the media does not highlight it. It also does Not highlight the plights of Palestinians too in their homeland. Now I don't want to go off on a tangent, just trust me you don't have to be Muslim or a local to even date or marry these women. Yes, family and societal pressure on her and you will exist if you don't fit the prototype, but it is possible; however, rare.

Ps. I sat next to a Saudi guy on the plane and we chatted over "the dating culture". He has a Saudi girlfriend, Bluetooth, social networking online and travel has opened up even this strict Islamic country, trust me, idiots will be everywhere you just have to respect the local culture to a degree. Not defending, trying to understand their viewpoint. I will be the first to criticize their backwardness and illogical customs and beliefs.

The culprits are idiots!!! As well as those in society who think its ok to harm others who don't share a similar viewpoint as they do. It will take years of re-educating these Islamic societies on how to handle these sort of situations.

As for their culture, you can find good things and bad things just like any other. Hopefully this serves as a deterrent for others.
