She thinks she's some sort of Joan or Arc and standing up to evil, hateful, men.

Classic delusions of grandeur.

The irony being, she finds herself to be "good" when the ideas she and people of her ilk spread cause men and women to waste years of their lives in misery. The disconnect between feminism and what are men and women's natural place is the reason so many people are on medication.

I would love to get a look at her mental health records. I can guarantee she's on antidepressants and god knows what else.

It probably never even occurs to her that there is a conflict with what's she's doing and her mental health the same way there's a conflict between what she eats and her physical health.

How can anyone listen to a word she says and take it seriously?

Exactly. Anyone blogging on someone else's site, chances are they are making not much money. There's a handful of well-known bloggers who can command a good salary: Ezra Klein, Matt Yglesias, Megan McArdle, a few others. Even the top ones are likely topping out at low six-figures. The real money comes when you're Tom Friedman or David Brooks and you get book deals and $30k speaking engagements.

People like Lindy West are slaving away for peanuts because they like having their names out there, but most of them never find a way to monetize their Internet fame. Truth is, a lot of these bloggers are bankrolled by family cash.

Again, I'll make the comparison I always make: this is very similar to the Catholic nuns who spread fear and disinformation about sex and caused women not to enjoy it. I had an aunt who was so fucked up from their misbegotten ideas about what was "dirty" that she physically could not have sex and had to go to years of therapy.

My aunt's terror and disgust at being touched sexually by my uncle is the early version of the false rape hysteria you see now. Both have roots in the idea that sex isn't a biological function but a moral one in which women bring "purity" and men bring filth. This fucked up women then and now.

When the Catholic church's influence started waning, feminism picked up where it left off with shaming, fearmongering, and trying to control the populace through that. When lesbians no longer had to hide out in convents, they went mainstream and became feminists. (And make no mistake most nuns were lesbians -- I know this for a fact. Even the Singing Nun came out as a lesbian -- look it up).

But it's the same mindset with both groups: claiming sex is "dirty" when men want it, disparaging men as evil, shaming boys for their natural behavior, and using "narratives" to assess life instead of biology (in the nuns' case it was the bible, with feminists it's their equally fictional texts).

Both groups are sexual deviants and rejects yet claim self-appointed moral authority over others while doing all of the above.

That's how you know the fat acceptance stuff is all bullshit. Her bio pic of choice is from the thinnest possible pose and angle (head slight jutted forward, camera slightly tilted down). If she really was ok with being fat she'd have a bio pic that wasn't misleading.

Only watched first bit and couldn't stand it past a minute.

However, at 0:48 she opens up the baleen and blows out "Garbageeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
