A girl flat out saying "buy me a drink" rarely happens. They know that's bad direct game. They are well versed in getting guys to buy them drinks, they're not going to pull out the shitty direct lines, they are going to get you engaged in conversation and then hint at it in one way or another.

A lot of the responses here are good moves. And it really doesn't matter how you play it, as long as you stand your ground and don't supplicate.

My go to move is simply this:

"Bartender, glass (or shot) of water for the ladies here!"

It is effective because it establishes a playful nature, shows you stand you ground and aren't going to give into her, and it allows you to easier judge by her attitude if she is worth continuing gaming.

I like to order the water, then walk away. Ill come back later in the night and tell her it's her turn to order the drinks. If she playfully orders me a water, game on. If she orders me a drink, game on. If she pulls a bitch vibe, no loss.

Anyone ever get a quality approach by a woman?

The recent approaches towards me have all been waitresses. The last one got nervous and gave terrible service. At one point she said "Oh you must be so thirsty." Gross incompetence in waitressing and game.

Before that a woman in an elevator contemptuously asked me about my job (I had a work shirt on and couldn't unload on her).

Before that it was grab my arm and ask me "Can I get your opinion on something?" (item in a store). She was really nervous and I thought it was cute so I proceeded. Things are more forgiving when they are taken aback by your looks.

They think they're too good to open a guy and when they do they're awful at it. You can see they are putting a brave face on it because of their terror of rejection.

I remember a coworker telling me the longest, boringest most pointless story ever. She ends the story (about her aimless social meanderings) by relating that her roommate's friend's sister's best friend made my cowroker uncomfortable because she told her details of "what she did sexually" with a guy. Thou doth protest too much. The story got you going and seeing Jim Norton Fan was like a fatty with itchy rolls of backfat seeing a backscratcher.



I like the direct approach myself.
