She stabs a senior citizen 33 times for $10. She now walks free after 27 years. I cannot recall a male, teenage at the time or otherwise, who has ever been released after such a vicious crime.

As incarceration years for women go, I'm surprised they didn't let her go after 5.

Um a lot of guys get out on parole before their sentence is done. You always hear about the victim's families trying to stop it from happening.

I thought people getting out on parole was 2nd degree murder stuff. Its not OK to kill people obviously, but I think there is a huge difference from a drug deal gone bad or walking in on your wife fucking another dude. Murdering an old lady nun, stabbing her to death in cold blood 33 times, for absolutely nothing, you cease to have an iota of humanity and should be extermiated IMO.

I suppose shes getting freed because of the age of offense (15 years).

First degree murderers get out on parole all the time with good behavior. They have to go before a parole board and get rejected if they are deemed to be a threat to society. If they get cught doing something illegal they go straight back. Prisons are running out of room.

Thats why there are so many corporate facilities nowadays. "Pay us to keep human beings locked up. Dont't stop the war on drugs. Oh yeah those debters are starting to be a real drag, huh. Need help? How about that guy who owe chikd support?" Their lobby is strong

There are many ruthless killers and animals locked up where they should be, though. Those are the ones who we should fear getting out on parole, but they almost never make it because they click up and violate in prison, many times adding more time and violating. They straight dont give a fuck.

Female privilege in prison time is real, but it usually appears in sentencing discrepancies, not parole decisions.

In Croatia, you can't get more than 30 years for murder anyway (there is no life imprisonment, let alone death penalty), and even that never occurs. We've recently has a serial killer and rapist (fairly similar to Nightstalker) who killed a policeman during his holiday away from the prison (yes, prisoners get holidays for good behaviour, wtf???) and robbed a bank. His prison sentence was then extended from 12 to a staggering 22 years. It's like the Nordic model, only without economic prosperity.
