In all honesty, I think that natural evolution will probably come to an end within the next century as widespread genetic engineering and synthetic enhancements come around. If we have a civilization-wide collapse someday, geneticists in the future are likely going to wonder where the massive bottleneck was that erased all of the cancer and diabetes genes in the human population.
