Planning to visit Portugal soon. Anyone got the low down on PT?

When are you going? If you are going in summer Lisbon will be dead. Most people are on holiday and down by the sea.

Lagos on the Algarve is a popular hangout for those doing the whole Euro tour. The youth hostel is popular with American and Canadian backpackers. It is actually a pretty good party town with a wide, sandy beach. Saw quite a few Northern Europeans there including Dutch, Swedish etc.

Haven't been to any of the other resorts, I think places like Albufeira and Prai Da Luz are full of mainly British tourists.
