I caught a few highlights today—there was a lot less pink on the field compared to last year (October being Breast Cancer Awareness month).

The NFL might be waking up; they can't afford another month of bad press.

Big Broncos fan, am cautiously optimistic after the 4-0 start.

Was fun watching Paxton Lynch do pretty well after Trevow Siemian got hurt.

The defense is beautiful, but it's sad that DeMarcus Ware got hurt on my favorite play - when he and Von Miller sack the quarterback at the same time.

I noticed that too today. Thank God. At a minimum the NFL heads should get a fucking clue and double down preventative protocols on player concussions and head injuries. Focusing on 'breast cancer awareness' when player head injuries are so prevalent is a bit of a sick joke IMO.

That said, the players still aren't getting it re the head shots as was evidenced today by the hit on Cam and even Carson Palmer.

Re: Pink

I caught it as a passing statement by the guy on Red Zone, he said that the Chargers were already decked out for BCA in October, and that it doesn't officially get started until next week or something like that. Basically- it will be the same shit again this year.

And I agree, they need to switch it up to something that helps the players- concussion, head trauma, ligament damage, etc.

I don't think they'll ever do anything regarding male health though. The Susan G Komen merchandise is too much revenue.

I'm sure they will put everyone through the "no more" domestic violence wringer again this year too.

NEW's loss yesterday:

Injured rookie QB who had everything that could go wrong, go wrong for him. 3-1 without Brady? I'll take that. Fuck you, Goodell.

And NEW will Hiroshima BUF next time they play...hopefully so bad that Coach Foot Freak gets fired on the spot and his fucktard brother too.

People are sleeping on Paxton. They will find out how strong he is soon enough. He is a smooth cat. I think he will start to have rookie struggles, just like I expect Dak to have, once there is enough solid film on him. Some of these teams will start finding what you do best and take that away from you. Both guys will power through it and develop into solid QBs. I am certain of that.

RE: NFL thread
Went to Panthers vs. Falcons on Sunday. A few observations:

Off-topic, Atlanta is everything that Baltimore was supposed to be. I have never in my life seen more attractive black women. If I die and go to heaven it will look similar to Atlanta. I mean it. Atlanta is the greatest place in the USA.

On-topic, Cam Newton foolishly tip-toed into the endzone on the 2pt conversion, but at some point they need to either call these helmet-to-helmet hits or not.

Talking to people in Atlanta gave me a different impression of Panthers road games in Atlanta. Panthers vs. Falcons is really Cam Newton vs. Atlanta. I think anytime (last year Atl beat Carolina in the regular season, Carolina's only regular season loss) Carolina comes to Atlanta there's always going to be weird shit that happens. Cam Newton feels a different kind of pressure going into games in Georgia and it shows.

Panthers missed Oher a lot on the offensive line and that also showed.

I don't give a shit what the stats say, Panthers defense is not getting the same kind of pressure. Couple that with 2 rookie corners and it's a big problem... Falcons had receivers open all afternoon.

Could be wrong, but I'm gonna wait and see on this Atlanta team. They still give up a lot of points. HOWEVER, in salary cap NFL a bad team can turn into a competitive team in one offseason. Carolina's finding that out the hard way with losses to Minn and Atl.

Yeah it's early, but Carolina is in a must-win situation this weekend against Tampa...

God dammit, Ghost Tiger.

Your guys and my guys are both 4-1 for the exact same reason. But at least we didn't give up 300 yards to Julio Jones.

Lol. Chargers snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Fuck it. Any landing you can walk away from is a good one.

Carr did throw for over 300 yards though. Kid is looking good.

Defense needs to get its act together.

Exciting game. Still hope the NFL's ratings keep tanking until they fire Goodell.

Al Davis would have found a way to get him fired by now.

Howie Long should stomp his tibia in half.

The Raiders are definitely improving. Really impressive to see. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Not surprised the Browns suck as usual. If they don't win next week or the 30th, there is a very realistic chance they will go 0-16.

Also gotta give a shoutout to the Rams for being in first in the NFC West...so far.

Cavs just won the NBA Finals in June, Indians in the ALCS, and the Browns are still the Browns. Would like to see them finally get a good football team, the Cleveland fans have been more than loyal.
