Quote:In my opinion this is where you went wrong. Yes, she was a warm lead. No matter what, she should think you're busy on Saturday. No first dates, especially with online girls, on Saturday.
To add to this error, you didn't end up texting her until the next morning.
Quote:Now you have two occassions where you tried to set up a date with a girl you've never met on the same day. Maybe that's your style, blitzkrieg after the number close to keep the pot warm, but I would not do that. At this point I would have sent her some restart text and then gone for a meetup two days later, getting her to confirm on the phone.
Quote:In my experience, if you played your cards right, online girls will be glad to wait to meetup. It's rare that they'll find an attractive, built, funny, non-creepy guy on dating platforms. There have been online girls I've banged where due to travel or scheduling conflicts we talked/texted for a week or two before meeting. Don't sweat it, get the meetup on your terms, and bang.

There are two ways "wyd" is used:
There's the instance you described, where they are bored and looking for something to do.
There's also where they are bored, but unavailable. They could be in the car, waiting for a friend, texting for fun, or their plans start later.
This is why it's best to give vague/funny responses. On Saturday around 11 PM the girl I +1'd on Sunday texted "wyd." I was unsure about what to do so I replied "at a rave hbu." I was not at a rave. I was at a bar and could hang out but didn't want to offer as to seem busy. She replied "oh lol I just got home super tired tho" so we arranged plans for Sunday. If she had replied with something warm, I might have invited her out.

Is it just me who is creeping her out? Or have you encountered legitimate girls who don't like being kinoed?

It might be a bit of both, but it depends, is this a first date? 2nd date ?
Is she kind of standoffish
I don't ever kino a girl unless I'm showing her how to do something, like bowling, shooting pool, shoot, etc.
I'll let her playfully punch me or poke me for teasing her.
Usually if a girl says that, it would sound like she's trying to prempt any funny business.
What led to her actually saying that to you ?

First date. 3 girls.
Typically we are on a couch in a bar, me next to her, facing the middle of the room. I try to kino from time to time and get closer little by little in order to not remain just a friend. However one girl voiced it loud that she was not tactile, the other one at a point kinda put her bag between us and crossed her feet.
I suppose I will only "kino" via what I say.

If it's a pay site, girls must be more serious about meeting someone as opposed to attention whoring on tinder, OKC and POF. But I searched the forum and the last time there were threads on match was at least two years ago.

My 50-something buddy uses it and he has been cleaning up for the last year. His youngest was 29yo, but he is more realistically dating women 14-16 years younger. Not sure how it would work for younger men because I don't use it.

Either way, this got me thinking about the question: "When do you hit on a girl who's with a guy?"
I feel like I could have gone for the phone number and gotten away with it. What's the worst that could happen?(01-24-2016 10:14 PM)redbeard Wrote: I was in line at Target. It was one of those dreadful "in between shift" times when there is one register open. The line was long, and I started talking to a guy and a girl behind me. The guy was pale, skinnyfat, and was slouched over. The girl was bangable. We banter for a while, the conversation switches to the girl and I, the guy retreats and barely talks.
Nothing progressed with the girl, so after paying I figured I'd leave (If she was alone, I would've kept talking and walked out with her). I said "y'all have a good day."
The guy advances, shakes my hand, and says "you too, good seeing you again man."
I have never seen this guy in my life. Or have I?!?!Either way, this got me thinking about the question: "When do you hit on a girl who's with a guy?"
Five years ago, I'd say it's not often.
These days, with "the friend zone," decreasing testosterone, greater disparity in sex lives of males, feminization of society yada yada yada,I feel like I could have gone for the phone number and gotten away with it. What's the worst that could happen?
