Depends, are you using condoms or not? If not, you shouldn't be that surprised and you can get them done at any LabCorp & have your results in 2-3 days at minimal expense. Hell, your insurance will likely pay for it 1x a year.

I've hit my regular burnout stage after hitting it hard for around a month. I have some upcoming events and a trip set for mid September. I've never done this but - maybe move them to Kik or WhatsApp ?

If I'm messaging a girl through any kind of dating site/app and she gives me ANY kind of excuse why she won't give me her number after a reasonable amount of back and forth messaging I auto next her. She either is just there for the attention or she's operating from a very strict set of rules. The times in the past where I was able to power through and eventually get the number she always ended up flaking on the date or ghosting on me anyway.

I will only deal with women who are just as invested in meeting me as I am meeting her. When you talk to girls, do you spit the same type of lines/stories/etc?

Are you focused on stats and metrics?

Usually when we find something that works, we rinse and repeat the process, which leads to burnout, and that "been-there-done-that" feeling.

We become the salesman who pitched one too many customers, knows every objection, etc.

You either need to take a break, or just switch up what you do and not focus on how many bangs, dates, or whatever numbers are floating in your head. When you stop focusing on stats, you will start focusing more on what's in front of you.

This is especially true in major college towns, but if you're in a big city, I think college girls are more open to dating non-students.
