Jacksonville ...

I lived here from 13-22.

Pretty cool city. Pros and cons of course.

Pros being nice weather, relatively safe (except North Jax which is straight up hood, but you'd have no reason to go there anyway), lots of food options and nice nature.

Cons being the need to drive everywhere, aggressive redneck men, a huge police presence, pervasive Christian influence, and poor ratios in the bars/clubs. Oh, and the con de la con - it's in America.

There's a huge, ever-expanding mall near the University of North Florida called St. John's Town Center. Plenty of great day game opportunities here. At the university too. Often, girls have a cute southern accent.

Night game is split three ways between the beaches, the town center and down town.

The main problem in Jax, especially if you're a clubber/barrer is logistics. This is the biggest city in the US by land area so it's not like a European city where you can meet a gal in a cafe and be back at your place smoothly within a few hours because your apartment is around the corner... In Jax, drive you must!

There are plenty of cute girls. Not like Miami, but still ok. There's also the Southern culture of eating too much and turning into a fat slob. So you'll see that too.

Ratios generally favor women so you might have your work cut out for you. Not too much ethnic diversity. It's mostly white chicks. Men are pretty aggressive and you'll encounter a lot of D-bags who want to fight you or get in your face. If you see a guy with a camo hat on, you he can probably whoop your ass unless you know how to fight. And he probably will if you give him a slight reason. Women can also be really bitchy/dismissive esp. in night life situations. Mostly to do with ratios of course.

Jax is really growing though. The indie music scene is pretty sweet (check out the local bands Opiate Eyes), and the city as a whole is quite affordable. There's a lot to do. You can go kayaking/boating on the beautiful St. John's river, watch MMA fights live, eat out (a lot of nice restaurants around like 95 Cordoba in St. Augustine and Augustine Grille in Ponte Vedra Beach).

Again...you must drive. Logistics will kill you here. I can't COUNT how many times things have fizzled out due to poor logistics! "Let's drive back to my place" is so suggestive, but perhaps even more than that, it's a commitment of time, and the need to return in the morning, etc. Exception obviously being if you have a hotel room in one of the prime locations.

Even though this is technically a part of the bible belt, you'll be able to tell token good girls apart from normal gals who are relatively unspoiled by the poison of christianity. But prepared to deal with a woman's out-loud self flagellation and guilt issues surrounding sex after the act...

^^^^^While it is true that JAX is very spread out and you will have to drive a lot, there are 3 distinct bar/club areas where you can live/visit and run most of your game: downtown, the already mentioned Town Center, and the beach. Downtown is more late 20s-late 30s while the beach is more of a younger crowd. Town Center has a mix and more "theme" bars (they kinda suck at night), but, as was mentioned, you have unlimited daygame opportunity and the University of North Florida is right next door (hot, dumb girls that are a good conglomeration of Southern belle and "beach girl").

Anybody have info on Pensacola? I've driven by the outskirts on I-10 and the bay looks great. I've also seen part of the beach and it's nice, but never seen the downtown area.

Sadly, Broward is very spread out regarding entertainment and nightlife outside of Las Olas. The Hollywood broadwalk (it's on the beach) is another option but it's not at all upscale... it's fun... but don't expect a top shelf booze type of clientele.

It all depends on your taste.

I like South Florida, lived there for almost a decade. I like Ft Lauderdale for white girls as a change of pace from Miami. I would consider moving back to Florida for the right opportunity ($$$). This time around I would probably move to the Gulf Coast - Tampa bay area.

Ft lauderdale is about 40 minutes from Miami. So it is doable. In Florida for some reason they believe 1 hour drives are nothing.

Hollywood is a cool town and about 30 minutes north of Miami.

But I figure you might as well live in Miami. It is a cool city, great place to network, and is arguably the best city to live in Florida given how well known it is internationally (great for making connections locally and overseas, I imagine your couch surfing requests would be through the roof), the number of events that go on year round (from Carnival to Winter Music), conventions, concerts, proximity to South America and the islands.

It is pretty much the "Hollywood" of the South East.

Lived near the Indian River Lagoon in Sebastian for a year, moved to Naples (Pile of shit) and then back to Sebastian for another year. Sebastian is kind of a smaller town, with alot of rednecks and Harleys. Also has it's share of waterfront restaurants and Cubans pan-handling for your money.

Foreign pussy is also a factor in South Florida. I need to learn more Spanish, but you can find girls from Cuba (they say it like koo-ba), Costa Rica, Colombia, Nicaragua, etc. I don't even really take Americunts seriously anymore in this region because the foreign girls mostly (not all but most of them) aren't as bitchy and don't put their demands up front as much. They also tend to have bigger asses.

It depends on the place. McDinton's in South Howard can land you can get a diet coke for free (from the bartender), beers maybe $2 bucks.

A diet coke in Prana (Ybor) is $5 bucks, alcoholic beverages I don't even bother since it is so expensive.

If you are doing South Florida correctly, 90-100% of the girls you swoop will be foreign.

Makes it hard to relate to the "I hate American girls", "American girls are fat", "American girls don't wear dresses and high heels", and "I am miserable in America" threads.

But I think that is a small price to pay.

Curious, what about that stretch on the water between Pensacola and Panama City? You have Fort Walton Beach in the middle of that stretch it seems.

I might have to move to Florida this November and would plan to stay about 1 year. My job is flexible, i only need to be about an hour or so drive from an airport. Seems a few other dudes who I work with and chose to live in that area fly out of Mobile when it comes time to go to work. But of course Tampa would be fine too.

If you were 39, and looked 35-40 depending on the lighting, where would you go? I've lived in SE Asia (Philippines, Thailand, and China) for 5 years and whenever I now come back to America, I am hit with the sad fact that 22 year olds don't even notice me. I may as well be wearing that invisible cloak from Harry Potter. So I would say with some degree of certainty that trolling for college chicks and/or spring breakers is not going to net any returns for me.

So as a 40-ish year old dude who looks decent but not great for his age, a good job/money, where would you park? I have nothing against phat assed white girls. In fact, after slaying 100's of 4'11" 90 lb Filipinas and 50 or so 5'2" 100 lb Thai girls, Id really dig an assey girl, black, white, cuban or Asian, as they say (nothing against Jew girls either)

Clearwater. Almost everyone I met there when I was out and about was 35-45, (though that is a Tampa thing in general since so many retirees move here).

I figure Tampa would be a great spot to set up camp once I start looking 40ish.

Btw, South Beach isn't all of Miami. It is a big place with lots of niches. Not everyone there is a yuppie.

South Beach doesn't equal Miami.

Hell, technically, South Beach isn't even part of Miami. It is a small part of a different city called Miami Beach.

Saying "dont suggest Miami" after going to South Beach is like saying "dont suggest New York" after spending a night in the Meat-Packing District.

Ok. Sorry to Miami fans. Didnt intend to be guilty of dissing a huge city after only seeing South Beach.

Was still more interested in a slightly slower paced routine. Figured cost of living for decent quarters would also be lower in Ft. Walton, Destin, Tampa than anywhere decent in Miami?

Anyway, in O'hare about to head to Bangkok for a full month to ratchet up the Thai P4P kills.

But still enjoy reading FLA info as it still looks like I'm going to have to do a stint there.

I'm currently living in Pensacola. It definitely isn't as cool compare to some of the other cities that have been mentioned. Pensacola have a lot of rednecks and Jesus freaks. I think Escambia County holds the Guinness world record for the most churches in the county or something like that. It has more of an Alabama vibe than a Florida vibe.

downtown is lame. there are some cool bars downtown, but the guys to girls ratio is always fucking terrible!

the beach is nice, but it always have a shit load of high school kids since Gulf Breeze high is down the road from the beach.

we do have hot girls though. a lot of hotties at UWF and a lot of hotties out and about in the daytime. so if you're good at day game, Pensacola could be a hidden gem for you.

I think navy boys and frat boys do very good here, but they mostly meet girl through social circle game.

oh yeah, and half the people here are addicted to pain killers.
