"Markus" is on a roll. The dude can't stop white knighting. Now he's banned sending private images:

"You can no longer send private images to other users.

The 3,000 idiots we delete every week primary use private images to send nude photo's to others. You can also flag messages for nudity if the message contains attached images."

Meanwhile he'll still keep the now useless option to have private pictures because: "To disable private images was one line of code. To remove it completely is a lot of effort and requires releasing new versions of apps."

The guy's a clown. Notice every single policy change is motivated by his desire to protect chicks from even momentary feelings of discomfort. With this new policy he'll force off married folks looking to snag some on the side from the site.

I messaged two girls last night with a new copy/paste I was testing out. As soon as I send out the message to the second girl I got banned.

My account was deleted on the spot. No warning or nothing.

DON'T SEND COPY/PASTE THEY ARE REALLY OUT TO GET US.

There are pros and cons to this.

Pros: A lot less guys messaging girls. Attention whores will soon be leaving POF to go to OKC.

Girls will have a lot less options thus making a Alpha male look like a much clearer choice.

Cons: A lot more time must be invested in writing a unique message

A lot less girls you can message in the same time frame.

I really feel with all of these changes POF is digging their own grave. This reminds me of the debacle Netflix put themselves in a couple years back with trying to shove a whole new business model down their customers' throats. I get where you’re coming from, and you make a strong argument, but the central problem with online dating isn’t coming from old creepy men. It’s with American women.

“Guys I don’t like: anyone under 6’0.”

You won’t feel a stress-free, natural connection with such a demanding girl. They’d rather insult the men they don’t want than to attract the men they do want. Even the ones who don’t have this stuff written on their profiles still belong to the same culture where women tend to be high-maintenance and impossible to please. One little beta thing you say could lead to her immediately losing all interest.

I don’t mean to get too negative, I just want to point out that there is a bigger underlying problem. I’ve had positive experiences with surprisingly hot American girls online so I don’t want to discourage people too much. I’m also not going to sugarcoat things when I had to put in extraordinary effort sending unique messages to tons of girls. By tons, I don’t mean fat chicks.

The worst fucking part about this new rule, i've found out, IS THAT IT DOESNT EVEN APPLY TO WOMEN. i'M 37. I got an email from this pretty cute and thin (imagine that on pof) girl who was 20. Her headline said "looking for older, mature, gentleman". I'm thinking i just hit a jackpot as i know exactly how to play this. I typed out a response and hit the send button only to find out i was "restricted" from emailing her and "click here to go back to your inbox".. I checked the restrictions on her profile. NONE..
