Yep. "Markus" knows that most beta dudes won't give girls bad date feedback. Why would they, when most of them are thirsty bitches and want to still score with the girl? No - he knows that only girls will leave bad date feedback. After all, how many guys on dating sites brag about being "brutally blunt"? None. To be honest, I think this benefits us and those of you arguing against it don't see how we benefit and shouldn't expect that a private business allow some users to damage the quality of their band.

If we are young guys, this means there are less creepy ass old guys hitting on the hot girls we want to hit on, which means they will have less crap to wade through to read our messages and less reasons to get creeped out and delete their accounts.

If you are a 50 year old guy who has enough swagger to date 25 year old girls, chances are you are not going to be using POF to do so and when you do date that 25 year old girl, you don't want her to associate you at all with the class of weird ass old guys that fill up her POF inbox with weird messages.

This seems like a fine idea to me from a business perspective too.

It's one thing to have a rule that men shouldn't date younger girls in a society at large vs. an owner of a website saying that creepy old men can't hit on their websites prime commodity: young single girls.

Should elite clubs start letting loser ass old dudes in at the front of the line along with the young hot girls? No. Because in hot clubs just like online dating sites, the reason they exist and the commodity they sell is access to young hot girls.

I honestly don't think online dating is a great tool for older guys. Online dating is superficial and just is a scenario where the rich get richer in my opinion; not the ideal scenario for older men. A high quality older guy might benefit by the lack of association with low quality older guys.

Plus, if we start whining that a private business should start giving us men (specifically older men) special privileges because of our rights or moral reasons or whatever when the end result is that old men on average creep out young hot girls on dating sites, we're just being hypocrites when we laugh at girls who demand special privileges for no reason.

POF.com is a private business. It has every right to do anything it can to enhance the experience for its most valued customers: hot young girls. If that means cutting off access to older men who tend to fill those young girls' inboxes with largely unwanted messages, so be it.

As has been said, they could already set age limits under the old system if they had an ounce of brain matter. Markus is dictating to younger women that they cannot interact with older guys even if they want to.

The age limit I have no problems with, although I do not know why it would be more effective than the previous system, I cannot see the point to leaving "rate user" feature like everyone is some kind of new amazon product to try out and give a score.

Good point, good point. I don't see any advantage to take the decision away from the girls. Maybe his theory is that girls are too stupid and lazy to use age filters to improve their own experience and he has to do it for them before they quit logging in to his site or something.

I think the general point remains that a lot of cool, desirable older guys suffer from association with the creepy ones that hit on young girls in weird ways and maybe it would be better off for you if the next time you flirted with a 25 year old girl, she didn't have 150 weird messages from other guys your age.

Truth is, I plan on being 40 and trying to date 22 year old girls in a few years so maybe I'll bookmark this thread and see how I feel then.
