Am I the only one thinking that the wife still looked fat even after losing 100 lbs? I mean, I am sure she looked a lot worse before the weight loss, but still.

Going from say 350 to 250 is massively (heh) easier than 250 to 150, so statistically the pool of people that lose that much will mostly consist of morbidly obese just going down to regular obese or simply overweight.

I find the submitted captions on the blog just as interesting as the pictures themselves. Use of words like proud, rewarding, and happy to describe how they feel about their transformation. The pictures catalog the physical changes but the text gives insight into the mental shift that preceded it and the emotional change that resulted. The feminist will claim that the difference is a product of some false standard of beauty but in reality, it simply feels good to work hard and be healthy. It is satisfying when your clothes fit well, when your muscles are firm and defined, to experience the strength of your body, and to be free of excess fat or weight.

Yeah, real girls flaunting their weight loss usually take photos in same locations or poses so it can be confirmed it's the same girl. For example, the fat girl has an ankle tattoo that would have been displayed if this were real.

An equally staggering but real photo, of the girl with the giant shoulder tattoo that went up from 2/10 to 8/10, can however be found in an earlier post in this thread.

The skin, particularly young skin, is a very elastic organ. A person losing weight steadily and naturally (i.e. moderate diet + exercise) will not see this happen, unless the change is truly enormous (pun intended) like 100 pounds. There will be stretch marks and residual cellulite that take a long time to fix, but probably not skin flaps like in these cases. I think these cases are a result of bariatric surgery, which is a) done for extremely obese people, and b) causes a very sharp change because of its extreme nature.

Most of all, stop fucking giving attention to fat chicks. Shame and ostracize men who date fatties. Sure it will lead them to pursue thin women, but we’re better off encouraging the fat masses into losing weight so mating partners become more evened out on a grand scale (no pun intended).

I don't think this will work for the same reason that slut-shaming doesn't apply to men. 80% of men out there don't care what society thinks when it comes to getting their dick wet. The only way of fighting female obesity is for women themselves to ostracize each other.

What are some of the signs of the reverse phenomenon - looming weight gain?

I have noticed a lot of chicks that work in office jobs have slim upper bodies but blubbery thighs and cankles. Beware. Seems like the calves and then the upper arms are the first to go.
