When I'm talking to American girls, I imagine that everything that we're saying is just a bunch of inconsequential bullshit that's floating around in the ether. Every sentence is a statement of half-truths, sarcasms, witticisms, and so forth. The minute I detect any logic working its way into the conversation, an alarm goes off, and like a bunch of white blood cells attacking a foreign pathogen, I eradicate the logic by means of rapid topic changes or spontaneous observations.

It gets exhausting.

Yeah, it does get exhausting. I had to push into several non-sequiturs last night every time this girl mentioned the name of some other guy. I just cut her off and went back to talking about something from a few sentences ago and then elaborated on that until we were talking about a completely different thing.

I think it's good to have scripted material to work with. Then you don't have to think about what you are going to say, so no logic. Eventually, you get enough material under your belt, and you've done it so many times, that you can improvise.

It still doesn't answer the question of why people bullshit so much about what they do in LA (I think my original reason, that they want to play up their connection to the entertainment industry is accurate), but it does at least point out the futility of trying to bullshit hotties in Hollywood, WeHo, Beverly Hills, etc...

Suit up and rock the square. I am a convert. Although, it does take about 2-3 weekends for you to get into the swing of things, and feel comfortable in it.

All bitchy attitude dissipated after I started rocking nice clothes. At worst, Ill get pleasant conversation, and then the girl excusing herself.

I've been going 4/4 nights of bouncing girls out of spots. <---This is insane, rolling solo, sometimes bouncing 2-3 girls out of a spot (except for 1 night w/Mcqueen, he bounced 4 girls w/us ). This is from all over La- Hollywood, the Valley. Venice/Santa Monica, dinner spots. Not to mention, if girl A goes to the bathroom, and random girl "bumps" into me. Asks me about my suit+pocket square. #close before girl A comes back. My phone is stacked with numbers from this last 2 weekend- girls ranging from 18 to 26.

Issue is that I can't seem to pull the trigger. Damm you LA drive. Girls sober up w/the longer drive. I hop them to afterhours (I am getting a ridiculous reputation at this spot now) and then the momentum of 2-3 girls against me is too much. Issues like "my car is going to get towed" or "my room-mate wants to go home" or "I dont have sex on the same night" or "This is happening so fast, I barely know you". 1 v 1, I can handle. 1 v hottie w/room-mate who is bored- struggle, set up room-mate in the spare bedroom and swoop the hottie. (This is why having a 2 bedroom spot is so crucial). 1 v 3, I am out of my league. Something about 3 girls is the tipping point for herd mentality. 2 girls I can control, 3 forget it.

LA has the pack mentality and thats what I seem to be hitting up against.

The suit thing can work really well in the hipster world too. If you play up the dapper, dandy, old-timey aspect of it, and not so much the shark skin suit wearing mafioso from the 1960-70s.

Also, been seeing a lot of black guys doing this look as well, so it's not just white hipster.

Three girls is tougher for sure.

I was with three girls in Mexico City on Friday.

The key is to let the other two peel off. You have to really Game the group. In this last instance for me, one was my girl's cousin.

I have also had times at my crib with three girls where I wasn't able to convert.

I need to pay more attention to this in the future and see what works and what doesn't.

As far as solving the LA thing?

Hell, I could write 900 pages of tips/tricks and maneuvers, but the easiest solution is to just move.

Everything else is just putting a band-aid on LA.

To stop the bleeding, you have to have the place in your rearview.

It should be pointed out...a good-looking guy in LA into his 30s can be a waiter, valet, bartender, etc.

If he's good looking and in good shape, he can essentially still pull women that in most cities would view him as a joke for "not having it together".

There's also a certain "edge" that goes far in LA that would probably get you seen as an alternative weirdo in most cities.

Crazy sells in Hollywood. Do you want to watch a movie about the "life" of an accountant, and the lovely house, cars, and college tuition he spends his carefully gained income on? The idea of this makes me want to shoot myself. Watch American Beauty (1999) for insight into both the Hollywood and the American dream. It won the Oscar for best screenplay and deserved it.

Some updates- solo "dope suit" game is clean as hell.
-I walk down the street and have girls stare at me.
-Chat w/some bouncers who throw me love for the loud square.
- Last night, I got invited to 3 bottle services off the street from random people.
- Popped a free bottle at an A-list club w/models, DJ and possibly some rap dudes. They were filming a video (maybe a music video?) and the owner stopped by.
- Got hooked up w/free drinks at the sushi bar
- Got asked multiple times if I worked in the Hwood nightlife industry hahaha. Status boost.

Now I just needa get more suits....If i lived in Hollywood, i would be unstopabble. Hurricane stage 5.

What is keeping you from getting a place in Hollywood?

If memory serves me correctly, don't you live in the valley? That alone probably has cost you a ton of lays.

LA has the absolute worst logistics, and SF has the worst ratio

That being said, California is definitely slightly harder game but definitively higher rewards (NYC had better logistics, a denser amount of hot girls but it's hard to get a tinder match with a 10 when you're an 8 on a good day)

California, by virtue of weather and being a destination point for girls who travel, permits some great options for attractive girls.

Also plus, (or minus, possibly), is that while California is diverse, you can generally know what to expect for what bar you go to- whites, Asians, blacks, hispanics.

The only places with extensive mixing I've seen are in Hollywood/Santa Monica, but that's because the girls are hot AF and exotic. And SF bars always include Asians (Oakland bars are actually the closest thing to diversity I've ever seen- though there's plenty of all black establishments)

IDK. Maybe because California has over 30 million people so in numbers there would be more from that region. The girls are hotter (not including NorCal) so there game may be "tighter" due to all the shit.

I grade regional game based on how well that player can assimilate his skills in other areas. The guys I was stationed with in SoCal that got the Lion's share of poosy were from NYC and Jersey. They ran 'Imma punch you in the throat and fuck your old lady' game. It was effective there, but falls short in the South. Texas guys also did well out there as long as they didn't run around wearing a cowboy hat. Southern game on the West Coast was only a small net positive. Most WC guys I know don't do well off their turf and ends up with a deficiency until they calm down and blend in. NE and WC game doesn't do well at all in Texas.

Southside and Texas players will rack up in the UK/OZ, and vice versa. We also do well up in the NE corridor for the same reason. So from 20 years of observations with boots on ground, I'll rate game by region on a 3 point system:

NE game: +1
SE game: +1
WC game:0
MW game: -1


This isn't from watching rvf members, but those I've worked/traveled with. I'm assuming a lot of guys here have the knowledge to overcome/adapt where the average Joe Schmoe doesn't have the self-awareness to do the same.
