My only LA experience was visiting a friend over a long weekend after (or was it before..?) a trip to Vegas. I expected it to be awesome...he was in a band and lived in Sherman Oaks (I'm thinking ok sick, that's right next to Hollywood).

I get out there and basically just smoked a bunch of weed, toured the Getty and a few other hotspots, and hit a few dull bars.

It's definitely not the "boots on the ground = fun" type of place that is NYC and Vegas. You need status, lots of $$, connections, super tight logistics, etc. to make the most of it.

That's why I won't argue against LA producing some of the strongest players in the Game.

Anyone notice the west side also breeds athletes. The list goes on and on, movies, technology, sports... Drugs.

That said I will say NYC is tougher in one area, corporate life. I got nothing but respect for a person who spends his career dungeoning through the only street that matters in the droves of NYC. Same with a spot like Tokyo where you have people killing themselves from work stress.

Anywho anyone see one east coast guy who has lived on both aides rep the east yet... I think I see a flying pig.

I though for sure there'd be a meltdown but it turned into LA this and that celebs this and that...

Why is CA so celeb crazy while NY(area) is not? I had two on my street at my childhood home and nobody gave a fuck. One lived next door and didn't even get much company.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but I doubt there is a correlation between the most prolific posters and the guys with the best game.

The problem with lairs and forums of any kind, including this one (which I believe's the best) is the signal-to-noise ratio. Something that sounds really good in writing may be total KJ garbage, and sometimes things that sound weird or implausible is some of the best and most accurate advice.

A good example was the old SFLair, where we had guys who were <10 girls lifetime, or guys who are male model good-looking, in there posting shit that sounded really, really good. Until you met them in person and saw that they either couldn't talk to women, or they were 100% relying on awesome looks.

Speakeasy and Hispanic_Reasoning killed it in this thread and got to the main point.

There is nothing inherently better about the CA player, it is just that the environment - which Speakeasy so eloquently described - forces more people to learn game. More people go through that "breakdown" which leads one to finally embrace pick up tactics.

Those of you who did not grow up in SoCal can never understand how frustrating it was for those of us who were not naturals to grow up in schools and environments filled with the hottest girls on earth but always have them be unattainable and at a distance. Being friend-zoned by hot California beach bunnies or aspiring models is much worse than being friend-zoned by some nerdy-cute east coast girl. It is this constant nagging tease feeling that haunts you until you become disillusioned, breakdown and realize you have to make some changes. CA will lead more people in that direction than other areas.

On the other hand, some guy growing up near an SEC school in the South need only join a fraternity at his school and he will be hooked up into a social circle of hot girls that he will stick with until marrying one of them. Or some guy from the east coast (not counting NYC) will be surrounded by cute girls and might be moved to action, but not as much as if he were surrounded by the gorgeous trophy wives and aspiring models/actress types one encounters in Southern California. He also won't have to work as hard because east coast girls are easier to crack than west coast.

In other countries with extended families and social networks you don't need game at all, you will be introduced or set up. In CA it's every man for himself.

As I mentioned in the LA thread, Roosh needs to do an LA trip and make a video about it.

PS - Although LA has great posters, the best thread in history was Greek Kamaki's Greek Islands thread and Hersonissos thread with picturess. Those are better than any travel guide or documentary.

One theory is that cities have some underlying priorities that influence attitudes. All the little details add up to a consistent theme.

In LA, it's fame and beauty/glamor. In NY, it's money and fashion.

People tend to go to NY to get rich, or be around wealth, or to be cool and trendy. The people there don't value fame as much as they value money, thus raw celebrity doesn't have as much status. Not to say it doesn't have any value, of course, but NY isn't full of aspiring actors and and famewhores the way LA is.

Quite the thread we got here. I posted this in another thread about Ukraine, but I'll quote it here. Maybe this will help illuminate things on the California dynamic/hell we live in:

I'll admit I keep a spreadsheet of bangs. This includes name, age, meetings until bang, her rating to me, and some notes. Some other cities in terms of bangs/nights in the past year: Chicago 1/3, Stockholm 0/3, Oslo 0/3, Munich 1/3, Poznan 0/3, Reykjavik 1/11.

Also, I'm pretty sure other cities you don't have to hear about girls you've fucked or plan to fuck having "hooked up with John Stamos." That's my competition.

Also, I am using the same argument from his video, anyone who has lived in both will say west side is harder. (Crickets).

The best thing about Cali is the abundance of more attractive chicks and a more "laid back" attitude in general than much of the country. I've lived on both coasts and I think I prefer to live in the east, visit the west. There's something that's still pretty lawless about the west coast that doesn't jive well with me... or maybe it's because I lived in Vegas for so long.
