We seem to go on and on on this forum bashing the (admittedly crazy) idea that there is some (or one) special person out there for you, like in one of those awful Kay Jewelers/Zales diamond commercials, and rail against the beta men foolishly trying to find there 'one true love' (and righfully so in my mind). But oh look when we switch it to two gays who biologically literally cannot have children want to do it it somehow it becomes ok to some people, all in the name of 'equality' and 'fairness'?? WTF?

Personally I don't really care if gays can marry or not, ideologically I don't see why the government has any business at all deciding who marries who. My main problem is countries legalizing gay marriage without also legalizing polygamy. That tells me it's not really about freedom, but primarily about sucking up to gays. I would use the legalization of gay marriage as leverage to promote the legalization of polygamy.

Gay adoption's already here. In most states in the U.S. same-sex couples can petition to adopt as a couple. Even in those states where there's no law granting same sex couples a right to adopt a judge can grant them an adoption anyway. Also, a clear majority of Americans when polled support gay adoption. It's not even a left-wing position at this point - many conservatives like Paul Ryan have come out in favor of gay marriage. Yes, the West is lost.

But it's no surprise - the same television shows and movies that promote gay marriage also frequently depict gay men raising children. When the history of the homosexual frenzy of the the early 2000's is written, much of the blame will be put on the sitcom Modern Family.

It isn't a Trojan Horse. Long before the marriage debate, gay couples have been adopting children, or definitely trying to. We're used to celebrity gay couples (usually female) doing this, because their status can get them pretty much what they want due to their ability to provide children with certain necessities and quality of life. However, there gay couples out there that have adopted kids. Others get around possible adoption hurdles by having their own kids via donated sperm from either banks, or a male friend. Next, you'll see gay women have a sperm created from the cells of one partner to inseminate the other, so the child will biologically belong to both partners (I believe someone posted a thread about the creation of such a sperm). Ricky Martin, a single gay man, had a surrogate deliver him twins. Gay marriage is either in conjunction with, and even following, some of these other trends in the gay community.

We can debate gays and gay marriage all we want while stacking facts and statistics but I think everyone here can agree that homosexuality is only good for causing confusion and disruption in society. All members of the RVF as players, players-in-training, playboys, and masculine men deal with enough issues on a day-to-day basis whether it's women, work, or life in general. We don't need the added drama or quagmire that fags bring to an already excessively liberated society with their infectious qualities or bullshit demands such as equal rights or gay marriage. Gay marriage doesn't affect the rest of society one bit. Ask any married couple in Spain, Portugal, Denmark, the Netherlands etc. whether they feel the qualitiy or value of their marriages has declined since gay marriage was introduced.

How stupid to think that just because gays marry it would make the institution between man and women less special with divorce rates hovering around the 50% mark, wars over child custody, infidelity and what not. If people want to make it more special, they need to grow up, work on their marriage and stop blaming the gays.

1. Gays can be bisexual. It affects straight men. In fact, the only reason I can think of why women get AIDS from regular sex is because of bisexual men.

I don't see why women would watch gay TV shows because gay men flatter them and I don't see how gay marriage is going to influence gay men flattering women or women watching gay men on TV. I really don't see why I would care whether women watch gay men on TV - it's not like typical female tastes would fit mine any better even if you got gay men banned from TV.

Well, it's silly that someone like you who apparently doesn't like marriage and thinks it's crazy would then go on and support it for gays. Goes both ways. You're not being logical and following reason if you're saying you don't like hetero marriage but somehow gay marriage is ok. It's not the other way around.

But I'm ok with traditional marriage I guess to help in raising children since, you know, children happen sometimes when people bang.
