Setting up a sham corporation like elMech suggested is the only way to pull this off, I have a few acquaintances here who have been living in London for 10+ years, I am gonna talk to them about it.

Oh and my credit score dropped to 750, thanks to a couple of failed direct debits from last month.

Where I'm from even if you set up a sham corporation your still going to need a personal guarantee. Unless if your going to go all the way and forge audited business financials, which is a tricky task. Either that or be prepared to leave the country when the gig is up.

Right so why set up a fake corporation when you will have to sign a personal guarantee anyway? This can possibly end up with a felony. For $5,000 much easier to apply for a credit card and lie about your job, then charge it off. No criminal charges this way.

The guy's got good credit, so why doesn't he just makr some fake paycheck stubs? Then get a Trac Phone and a google voice number for the company he makes up's human rescource departmentand one number for his direct supervisor. Easy as that.

If he's got a 750 score they aren't gonna check shit beyond that. Some dumbass at the bank is gonna make a copy and that's it.

He could either buy the blank check paper at office depot or tell the bank he will fax the stubs, which is actually a better idea.

We aren't talking about hard core bank robbing here,just some simple shit. The worst thing that will happen is he gets denied.

Mech, I love most of your posts, I'm saying this isn't your scene. "Fake Corporations" are things 90% of people think pretending like international crime isn't a full time job (like 80-100 hrs/wk). Besides what I said. I'd love to learn about the actual countries (or legal entities) where we can register these. Vanuatu has started drying up, but if you know where to look, let me know. I know RVF isn't the kind of forum where people hype up bullshit without providing data on where they've been and what they've seen.

OK smart-ass, do you know how much time and money it costs to look into such matters? They aren't going to spend all that for a tiny amount like $5k, which I intend to pay off. It might be "fraudulent misrepresentation", but they don't have the time to look into it unless "you" tip them off .

I don't know a whole lot about it, but I think it isn't permanent. I'm gonna have to talk to my doctor about it. I've been wearing glasses for almost 15 years now, right now my distance vision is so bad that if I take my glasses off everything appears hazy.

Have you checked for sure whether contacts work for you or not? What's your correction factor?

Although they're not strictly 24/7, with better contacts they are close enough that it doesn't matter. You can wear them day and night for several days on end. Swapping in/out only takes about 5 minutes total every few days.

On the other hand, you can probably just get more cash from your parents or the government to pay for all this shit you want. So why even bother to look for the cheaper option, right?

Aha. LASIK. Not a bad way to spend money. Two things you can consider:

1) Get the procedure done in a cheaper locale than UK or USA. For me this is one procedure where I wouldn't consider medical tourism, but you need to figure out whether you are prepared to travel to somewhere like Thailand to have it done.
2) You are in the UK. It is a prime location for medical trials. If you are very, very lucky you may find a company running a trial related to LASIK. It that event: If you are accepted onto the trial not only will the procedure be done for free, you'll actually get paid for participating. Medical trials in places like the UK aren't usually "scary". A hypothetical LASIK trial would not necessarily have anything directly to do with LASIK. They may be testing the painkillers given after the procedure, for example. Could be many things. Anyway, something to look out for.

PS: I'm sure you've done your research, and I'm not trying to dissuade you, but be aware that quite a few people have a problem with dry eyes after the procedure.
