Beards, watches, clothes, shoes, hairstyles, cars, its all just for show. None of it will help you to better develop yourself.
If you feel like you could be getting better results with women then do the real work and approach more.

My point exactly. It's a trend. Trending yes. However here's a unique concept.. don't be influenced heavily by trends, and observe as people naturally bless your realness.

Here's another: Do the opposite of what the masses are doing and stick out without trying. Most guys have some form of facial hair now. Tatts too. Just feels like herd mentality to me... oh wait.. kinda what girls do. No thanks.

Wasn't my intention to offend, just noting the concepts.

It's funny you bring tats up, I'm literally only one of the few out of all my friends that doesn't have a single one.

I also don't shave my arms, chest, or anything like that.

Now an absolutely ridiculous mustache, yes, super douchy, a dude rocking a 5 o'clock shadow or short cropped beard not so trendy. It's just been like that for centuries.

I can always tell when a man's beard actually fits his face and doesn't scream faggot or sjw cuck.

They don't have punchable faces, they look serious, a don't fuck with me kind of look.

It's hard describe, but when you see a guy who deserves to rock a beard, you just know.

Last week I was having a conversation with a chick I met in a bar re this exact topic. I explained to her how tats started out as a means of self expression/ rebellion but at some point having one hit a critical mass where it became an expression of fitting in/ conformity. This is an approximation of what followed:

Chick- "Well I have a couple tattoos and I didn't do it to fit in"

PT- "Uhh huh...Would you say most or few of your friends have them?"

Chick-"Well most if not all" Reluctantly because her friend she was with was
visibly sporting tats on her shoulder and ankle

PT- "Uh huh...I bet you smoke don't you?"

Chick-"Yeah...what's that got to do with anything?"

PT- "And most of your friends smoke don't they?"

Chick- "Uh yeah, so?"

PT-"What's it like to be a cliche'?"

Chick-"What?...no..."

PT- Turned away and just smirked

Chick-"Oh my god I can't believe you just called me a cliche'"

PT- "Oh hell...I could probably describe your whole life up till now"

Chick "Oh is that so?"

PT- "Yeah but I'd probably fall asleep before I finished"...another smirk

Chick "You're an asshole"

PT "Maybe but at least I'm not a predictable cliche"

Etc.

I ended up exchanging numbers w her. I sent her a pic from the top of snowboard run in Utah over the weekend. No text. She's texted me twice since.

I predict this "unique" special flower will have my cock in her mouth sometime next week

You shaved it off? Huh

Kaotic nailed it. I've rocked a beard since age 16 with zero fucks given as to what people think. If something is congruent with your personality, it's a plus when it comes to attracting the ladies. Beards, tats, jewellery, whatever. When you do something just to try to be cool, that's when you can fall down hard and it shows.

I know plenty of real lumberjacks with check shirts and beards. Even in the hipster capital of the UK (Brighton) they look congruent.

Some girls love beards, some girls don't. I think (and this is purely an observation) that girls who like beards have daddy issues.

Every girl who's told me she like me in a beard, has daddy issues (divorces, absent etc). The girls who say they like me clean shaven, have had a great relationship with their dad.

Who knows! This needs further research!

RE: The power of beards
Until I had grown out my beard for over 6 months, I never had an approach that started because a woman wanted to touch me before I touched her. At over a year of growth, my beard touches my chest, and on the few occasions I night game, I invariably get at least one girl who wants to touch my beard. Once she has her hand on or near my face, I ask how it feels as I put my hand on her arm or on her lower back, as if I'm inviting her into my personal space. Every time, they give me some variations on, "I thought it would be rough but it's so soft," right as I am applying a light but firm touch, and that sets a really comfortable tone. It's the easiest game I can run at the moment.

I did not start growing the beard for game purposes. As I started losing a lot of weight, I did not like the shape of my jawline, so I just let it grow out and told myself I'd get rid of it when I dropped off enough weight. Now it's a good conversation/approach starter and feels comfortable, so why get rid of it?

@WeekendCasanova: I cannot speak to the daddy issues part because I don't want LTRs right now, but I have noticed that a girl who likes my beard usually will say her dad had a beard.

I can appreciate the philosophy, and trying to put on a look that is totally incongruent with who you are will certainly never work, but saying "I do everything regarding my look for myself and nobody else" is sort of reminiscent of the female hamsterization "Oh, I only wear makeup and dress up nice so I feel good." Um, okay.

I mean, if we all did things only for our own comfort, we probably wouldn't even be having this discussion, and we'd all roll out to a night game spot in the summer in a T shirt and sneakers.

Fair enough I see exactly what you're saying by that.

Added benefits I like is barely putting chemicals on my face, slows aging of my skin, and barely putting a trimmer/straight blade on my face.

I do it because, I'm a hairy mother fucker, thankfully none of my back, also because yeah, I think it makes me look handsome. It's not about feeeelings.

The only reason anyone tailors their outward appearance on purpose is for the approval of others.

The only reason wearing a suit or whatever makes you "feel good" is because you know/think other people think you look good or take you more seriously. We are social creatures that thrive off of peer approval. It's okay to accept that.

Only grow a beard if it makes you look more rugged and dress above par or are blue collar and built. They also help guys who don't have angled/sharp features. For guys who do have angled/sharp features I'd recommend keeping it closely trimmed to your face.

Too many faggoty hipsters with them so do try to not be associated with them which is easy to do.

Source: have a beard

Corollary: faggoty hipsters talk like valley girls and have vocal fry so they are irrelevant.

I don't know why this is being discussed still.

You should wear a beard if it makes you better than clean shaven.

If you look better with a beard, the length should be at the length that looks the best on you.

All the rest will come as a result of you looking your best with that look.
